The Chris Klug Foundation is proud to be a charity partner of UNBOUND Gravel since 2024. To join CKF's 2026 Charity team, please ensure you have spoken with our staff at info@chrisklugfoundation.org to complete the necessary steps to become a Team CKF fundraiser. It is a 4-day biking event in Flint Hills, Kansas, and is considered the world’s premier gravel event; UNBOUND is a lottery with 4,000 riders. We will be taking part in the 100-mile and 200-mile races with a team of wonderful athletes.  The Chris Klug Foundation (CKF) has been a charity partner with Lifetime since 2012, raising over $250,000+ for CKF's programs. CKF's Leadville Trail 100 charity team helps to educate others on the facts of organ, eye & tissue donation while raising awareness for those awaiting a lifesaving transplant nationwide.

The reason for this race: Miles Jacobsen is 10 years old and currently in 4th grade. His family moved to KC in 2021 when his dad was hired as the Lead Teaching Pastor at Heartland Community Church off Strang Line Rd in Olathe. Miles Jacobsen is one of the many kids in Kansas City battling a brain tumor. Days after his 9th birthday in March 2024, he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. After a long year of chemotherapy, Miles is now awaiting the development of more targeted therapy that will help him fight the growth of this tumor. Despite these challenges, Miles is a joyful and active kid whose positive outlook has inspired hundreds, if not thousands, of people since his diagnosis. His heart beats strong for people of all ages who are enduring their own cancer journeys, and he’s always looking to lift other people’s spirits. Best Buddies International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Founded in 1989 by Anthony K. Shriver, Best Buddies is a vibrant organization that has grown from one original chapter to nearly 3,000 chapters worldwide, positively impacting the lives of over 1.3 million people with and without IDD. Join us for a 3K walk/ 5K run for mental health! We're encouraging the community of Doniphan County to band together in this cause. Partnering with the Kanza Mental Health Guidance Center, the proceeds will go towards local care.

What better way to celebrate the end of the school year than with a family-friendly color run? There will be one mile and 5K options, both filled with lots of color, water blasters, bubbles, and music! There will be a clock, but this is not an officially timed race. A Summer Biathlon is Cross Country running combined with Rifle Marksmanship   The 6K running race is divided into three parts:   First: The timing starts with waves of one or two runners leaving the start line every minute and running an approximately 1-mile loop. As you approach the shooting range at the end of the first running loop, you will run into the range, catching your breath, lie down in the prone position and pick up an easy to use .22 caliber target rifle. You shoot 5 shots at 4.5-inch metal knock down targets 33 meters away. For each missed target you are required to run a 70-meter penalty loop after the shooting stop. If course conditions do not permit a penalty loop, 25 seconds will be added to the runners overall time for each target missed.      Second: After this first shooting stop, you run out of the range and run the same 1-mile loop again. This walk is hosted by Linconia Community Center to support those who have been affected by cancer. Our purpose is to help raise awareness of various types of cancer, promote an understanding of how important healthy eating and lifestyles contribute to preventing, tackling, and defeating the disease. A Run Through the ‘Woods’ is fun neighborhood road race fundraiser for Hoover Elementary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) in the Mt. Lebanon School District, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The run/walk takes place at the elementary school.  The course goes through the scenic (and hilly) Cedarhurst Manor neighborhood of Mt. Lebanon hitting many of the ‘wood’ named streets.  The event is competitive and fun for all ages and abilities. We offer a 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk, Live Age group awards as well as sponsor filled goodie bags, photographers and water on the course, custom finisher medals, fun raffle baskets, and snacks at the finish line! Medical staff, and a police officer will be on site for the safety of all participants. We hope you can join us for the Cavalier 5K & 1K! The races will be held at The Heights with the 5K start and the finish on campus.  The 1K is entirely on campus. These races are open to all Heights alumni, parents, and students as well as their family and friends. Please register in advance. Registration includes participation in the timed race, an official shirt, and the cookout afterwards.  Want to bring the whole family? Multi-person pricing is available- $65 for 3+ registrants. Scroll the bottom of the sign-up form to select multi-person and register additional runners. All runners must be registered. When register multiple runners it will give you the option to choose the 5K or the 1K for each.  Non-runners are welcome to come cheer and join in the cookout. This is an early-season triathlon and duathlon that is well suited as a training event for the seasoned athlete as well as an entry-level distance for those who are just deciding to plunge into their first event.  There will be an adult sprint triathlon & duathlon with a first wave start at 8 a.m. and two youth divisions (1) U-15 (ages 11-15) and (2) U-10 (7-10) with a first wave start at 11:15 a.m.  The event is centered on Greenville's beautiful Baldwin Lake and features a unique spectator experience from an elevated viewpoint above the lake and transition area on and along the Fred Meijer Flat River Trail.  The entire swim, transition, bike-in, 1/2 mile of the run, and the finish line can all be viewed from a single vantage point.

The John Andrews Memorial 5K is a signature fundraising event of the Eastern Trail Alliance, a nonprofit that builds, maintains, and promotes the Eastern Trail, southern Maine's premier multi-use greenway. The Little Village Rotary Club presents the 6th Annual Carrera por paz, or Race for Peace, a community 5K Run/Walk Event. This event's objective is to promote anti-violence by supporting youth programs in Chicago’s Little Village and surrounding communities. The Second Annual Licking County Suicide Prevention Coalition Awareness Race will return in 2026 as a powerful, community-driven event focused on connection, remembrance, and hope. Hosted by the Licking County Suicide Prevention Coalition, this race brings together families, survivors, first responders, educators, behavioral health providers, and community members who share one goal: saving lives. Participants can choose to walk or run, whether competitively or at their own pace. The event is designed to be welcoming to all ages and abilities. The Going Bananas Run is the first-of-its-kind fun run where your speed can raise money for charity. Each racer receives their very own banana suit to run in as you make your way through an exciting Duluth course. You’d better split though, because after 2 minutes we release “The Gorilla.” “The Gorilla” is our inside man; boy, does he love chasing bananas. Those who beat the gorilla to the finish receive a special prize, and money will be donated to a local food shelf. Welcome to the First Annual Climb the Mine Hike in Hibbing, Minnesota. This one-of-a-kind community hike begins at the Greyhound Bus Museum & through Historic Old Hibbing, where the roots of our mining town first took hold more than a century ago. From there, participants will make their way through the heart of Hibbing and gradually climb to the breathtaking overlook at the Hull-Rust-Mahoning Mine View. At the finish, you will stand at what is often called the world’s largest open-pit iron ore mine, known as the “Grand Canyon of the North.” The climb is steady and rewarding, ending with one of the most incredible views on the Iron Range.
