Information US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Most races are small enough to feel personal but organized enough to feel official. You can expect a clear course, helpful race staff, finisher medals, results, and a relaxed community feel. Bring your fast shoes, your steady walking pace, your favorite running buddy, or your best “I signed up for this on purpose” smile. We will be glad to see you at the start line. A quick race-day note: because many US Road Running events are small local races, we normally have one or two staff members at each race. The Run the Line Half Marathon is a unique opportunity to run in one half marathon in Texas and Arkansas on a USATF certified single-loop course.  The race starts at W. Broad Street and Texas Blvd in downtown Texarkana, Texas, quickly moves into Arkansas, crosses back into Texas, and finishes in Texarkana, Arkansas. The course includes 10-ft wide asphalt trails that wind through residential neighborhoods on city streets. The finish line is downtown at 3rd and Wood Streets in front of the Hopkins Ice House about 5 blocks from the start.   A portion of the course is on the Texas/Arkansas State Line. The 2027 course is USATF certified (AR19015WJT). The race includes chip timing, runners, walkers, and 2-person and 4-person relay teams.

One of the oldest 5K’s in the Triangle where every female finisher receives a red rose, the North Carolina Roadrunners Club is proud to present the 46th Annual Run for the Roses 5K. This fun traditional weekend race offers a fun-filled afternoon for the family including face painting and children’s fun runs to raise money to benefit Four Paws NC an organization which trains service dogs for veterans and Team Red, White and Blue NC, an organization with the mission to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity. This 5K fun run/walk is being held in memory of Max Schollenberger, a 12-year-old Annville resident, who died after experiencing horrendous abuse and neglect. His death rocked the community and galvanized residents to do something substantive to honor Max and ensure he is remembered. This race provides an opportunity to help heal the community and to support The UPMC Child Advocacy Center of Central PA, an organization whose sole purpose is to treat children who have experienced abuse. This is not a timed event. The focus of the run is to honor and remember Max.
