A 5k race for veterans organizations in memory of those who fought for our freedom.Poppy Run 5k: Honoring Our Nation's Fallen Heroes. Founded by Grady Langenderfer as a tribute to his grandfather's friends who never made it home from Vietnam. This year's proceeds support Flag City Honor Flight, Fisher House Foundation. Please join us on May 23rd, 2026, for a 5k run/walk at the Fulton County Fairgrounds in Wauseon, Ohio. "The event will begin with a pre-race Memorial Day ceremony", followed by the 5k run/walk, and a kids' 1/2 mile race to follow. Are you ready to Kiss the Goat? Get ready for an outstanding 1/2 Marathon and 10K trail running event in eastern Kentucky. These trails offers some difficult climbs but with the addition of fast descents and flowy miles. This will be the 4th year of this event and second year with the 1/2 and 10K distances.  The 10K route will be roughly 1250 feet of climbing and the half marathon around 2500 ft of climbing. Runners will do a 6.56 mile loop in each direction for the half marathon, and one lap, with a bit of a short cut for the 10K. NO DOGS ON COURSE. They are welcome at the facility, but not the race course.  This race is suggested for experienced trail runners/hikers. Our class officers have worked diligently to plan a 5K Run/Walk fundraiser to help fund our class expenses.                                            3rd Annual Spring into Summer 5K Run/Walk fundraiser. This fundraiser has been passed down from the Class of 2026 to the Class of 2027.  It will be an annual fundraiser for the Sophomore class to raise funds for Prom, Snowball, Baccalaureate, Class Picnics, and other items that arise during their time here at Catholic High. 14th Annual Samuel F Pearson Memorial Day Event Saturday, May 23rd, 2026 Event is raising money in honor of Sam Pearson for the Piqua Education Foundation (PEF) for scholarships in his name.Sam was a soldier in the Army serving our country and paid the ultimate sacrifice fighting for our freedoms. Born andraised in Piqua, graduating from Piqua High, money raised stays here in Piqua and supports PHS seniors with scholarshipfunds towards furthering their education. But don't let the majestic trees and peaceful setting fool you - these are some of the toughest hills in Florida! All three courses take participants along shade tree draped roads and over some very challenging hills! Make sure that the sound of your pounding heart and deep breathing don't distract you from observing the wonderful surroundings along the course. The area is home to a variety of native plants and wildlife such as majestic oaks, magnolias, hickory and cedar trees, red hawks, bald eagles, wild turkeys, pileated woodpeckers, bob cats, foxes, coyotes and white-tail deer - just to name a few.... We are very proud to announce the 10th Annual Honor Our Heroes 5k Memorial Run!Oldsmar Cares is a for-impact 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates solely on the support of volunteers and donors. Serving the local community since 1997, we offer assistance as a food pantry, clothing closet, and other essentials, such as temporary rent and utility assistance, to those facing difficult times while keeping families together. On Saturday, 23 May 2026, and in recognition of Memorial Day, we continue our collaboration and veteran outreach with the All-American VFW Post 12186 here in Oldsmar. Our two distinguished nonprofit organizations are a 100% all-volunteer force.  We are working together to build a better community, and all net proceeds from the event will support our efforts to serve residents, families, veterans, and community projects. This year, along with a fantastic lineup of sponsors and vendors, we welcome back Tampa Bay Brewing Company (TBBC) and Three Brothers NY Pizza
