Don't Struggle In Silence 5k

Norfolk, VA
Race DetailsLocation: Benchtop Brewing Company (1129 Boissevain Ave. Norfolk, VA 23507)Date: Saturday, April 11, 2026Time: 8:30am - 12:00pm DescriptionThis movement was founded by Emily Sheetz, a third-year medical student at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS), whose passion for mental health advocacy stems from a deeply personal place. In 2012, Emily lost her sister, Courtney, to suicide. Courtney struggled with self-harm and eating disorders for many years, and despite her family's best efforts to support her, they couldn't find a way to help. For a long time after her death, Emily and her family struggled to talk about what happened, as the stigma surrounding mental health prevented her from sharing the impact it had on her family. Now Emily shares her story without the fear of being judged or looked down upon. Losing her sister to suicide is a part of her — one she no longer carries with shame or guilt. Emily is now using her voice to show others it is okay to speak out

Our Half Marathon is still happening—just taking a quick jog to a new date. New Race Day: Saturday, April 11(Originally March 28)   Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield Half Marathon/5K/10K/Kids Fun Run will start at 11:00 a.m. on April 11. All runners will receive a unique medal and this year's half-marathon t-shirt! Everyone will have access to the post-race party in our gym, where results will also be posted.    The Westfield Half started in 1994 when a group of runners from the Empire One Running Club approached the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield with the idea of a half-marathon fundraiser. Since then, we have seen the Westfield Half grow from 142 runners to well over 600. In 2011, there were nearly 1,000 participants! We have also added a 10K, 5K run/walk, and a children’s race. Since that first race 30 years ago, this event has raised ~$300,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield. Race maps and info are available on the Westfield Half website

The Azalea Run 2026

Muskogee, OK
ABOUT THE AZALEA RUN: Hosted by the Muskogee Running Club, the City of Muskogee, and Saint Francis Health Systems, the Annual Azalea Run returns to Honor Heights Park on April 11th.   This run dates back to the mid-1980s, and has had many names, most recent of which has been the Muskogee Run.  For many years we start at Honor Heights Park and ran on roads to the west of the park.  This year's event will stay inside the park and is better suited with the traditional name "The Azalea Run".    This will be one of many events of the 2025 Azalea Festival, which will go on the entire month of April.  The Chili Cookoff will also be happening on April 10-11 at Hatbox Sports Complex in Muskogee.  We will be using a course familiar to many local runners, the Garden of Lights Run Course, but it will have a much different feel for a spring run.  Please read below for more event details and we hope to see you on April 11th!     T-SHIRTS & AWARDS: Included in your registration fee i
