We hope you are ready to get some exercise and explore Ballard with us.  From the heart of Ballard to Shilshole Bay, the Sons of Norway Leif Erikson Lodge is proud to announce our annual 5k!  5k Fun Run / Walk: Adult (18yr+) - $20 13-17 yr - $10Child 12 and under - FREE Check in begins at 8:00am. Race starts around 9am. Top finishers will receive ribbons and prizes, with prizes also being awarded for fun and creative participants! The half marathon will be on the Mahaska County Recreation Trail all around Oskaloosa with a little bit of the running on the streets.  UPDATE: The race will begin by the new Lacey Complex Stadium. This will allow for more parking and better central location for the meet. We will follow the path down and around the city of Oskaloosa. The course is hilly, but full of a lot of beautiful scenery. The race will begin and end by the community stadium for your convenience.  The Mahaska County Sheriff's Reserves will be hosting our third Pot of Gold Shared Half Marathon and 5K. This  4th annual 5K is created in memory of Jasmine Torrain. This run helps to fund scholarships to graduating high school students in the mid- west.

Celebrate Prairie Village's 75th anniversary with a 5K run down 75th Street and through picturesque, tree-lined neighborhood streets. River Rd., Baton Rouge, LA 70802 The YMCA Corporate Cup, which is the former Providence Corporate Cup, is a 5K run/walk with a new route this year.  It will be held near Downtown Baton Rouge across from the Cane’s River Center on S. The Grandview Grind 15k will start and finish at Columbus Youth Camp in Columbus, Indiana. Runners will make their way “down” to Grandview Lake and run the beautiful, yet hilly 7 miles around the lake before returning back “up” to Columbus Youth Camp. This course is loved by local athletes for training purposes and we are excited to offer the opportunity to race the course. Burke Sunrise Rotary Club invites all runners and walkers to join us and the Spring colors in the NC foothills on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. The scenic paved 5K course winds through the beautiful campuses of Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC), the NC School of Science and Math (NCSSM) and the NC School for the Deaf (NCSD) with a backdrop of the South Mountains. A post-race breakfast will be served.  The proceeds will be used to fund scholarships for students in the club-sponsored STRIVE (Students Taking a Renewed Interest in Education) Program that targets students in the bottom third of the class who are willing to work hard to increase their GPAs in order to continue their educations after high school graduation.  A cotton-polyester blend short-sleeve t-shirt is included in the entry fee. Mackenzie Corbin Memorial 5k Our daughter, Mackenzie Corbin was a 2023 honors graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School, a Sophomore at Wilmington College, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenfield.   As the baby of our family and the youngest of six girls, Mackenzie was God’s blessing that completed our family perfectly.  Mackenzie was a beautiful young woman with a smile that could light up any room, a contagious laugh, was humble, kind, loving, and had a passion to always help others.  Mackenzie loved big and touched many lives in her nineteen years and is loved and missed by her family and friends so very much.
