Race course is very scenic and mostly flat (around 160 feet of elevation gain) and takes place on city and county roads and gravel or concrete pedestrian paths. Spreading Help Around You is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded in 2014 in honor of Shaylyn Anela Pinoliar, who tragically passed away on November 14, 2012. Our mission is to help and support families who have lost a loved one, educate them on the importance of being prepared during such a time of loss, and provide active service to the community.  As well as promoting Pedestrian Safety Awareness. This year, we proudly launched the SHAY Scholarship Program, marking an exciting new chapter in our commitment to supporting education and empowering future leaders.  Each year, since Shaylyn’s passing, family, friends, and community members gather to honor her memory with an Annual 5k Run/Walk on Thanksgiving morning. SYRACUSE UGLY SWEATER 5K  November 28, 2026 Race Event start time 10:00am Come celebrate the transition from Thanksgiving to the Christmas season with a fun and festive Syracuse Ugly Sweater 5K for runners and walkers. The 12th Annual Syracuse Ugly Sweater 5K will once again be held at Onondaga Lake Park under the Lights on the Lake. All runners participating in the Ugly Sweater 5K run (either Team Santa or Team Grinch) will receive a custom long sleeve shirt and custom finisher medal. New for 2026 will be the addition of the Ugly Sweater 5K Yeti Walk. All of those participating in the rewarding 5K walk will receive a custom Winter Beanie and a finisher medal. Post race awards ceremony and party will be at the Cobblestone in Liverpool.  There will be awards for the Overall and Age Group winners as well as prizes for best in dress. All donations, both financial and in-kind will go to the Ainsley's Angels of Syracuse this year.

This race is in memory of Margaret Walling, a  young Hackettstown resident who lost her battle with a malignant brain tumor in December of 2013 after a brave and vailant fight.  Smiles For Margaret gives money raised to families with children fighting cancer. Smiles for Margaret is continuing to raise funds in Margaret's memory in order to help other local families whose children have also been diagnosed with life cancers. Go Bucks and Go Blue during this 10th annual event in downtown Sandusky. There isn’t a better way to start the morning of the Ohio State/Michigan game day than “Dotting the i” or “Blocking the M.” And you can do both in this one-of-a-kind event. There is no other city with a unique street grid like Sandusky's to complete this kind of course. The “Dot the i” course is approximately 5 miles and the “Block the M” course is approximately 4 miles.  (Note: The "Dot the i" finish line will close at 10:30 a.m. Any participants unable to finish the course within that time are recommended to complete the Big O course instead) The OH-IO Two-person relay. A Kennekuk Members Only Event - MEET THE BACKPACK TRAIL  TRAIL:One of the most difficult in this part of the Midwest. Plenty of sheer beauty, and you could very easily get wet & muddy. Everything a trail runner could want. There is even a long stair climb. You will see things on this trail you won't see on other trails in the area. You will see Julee's Shooting Star Tavern on the right (northwest comer). Follow the road for 7 .2 miles to the Forest Glen entrance. About Talk to Me: Talk2Me is a 501c3 whose mission is to empower people to connect, heal, and thrive in our schools and communities. We provide education, an open sharing platform, and an action and accountability plan to connect individuals with safe help.  We offer counseling grants to those in need. Many who come to us are suffering from addictions and mental illness.  We also provide grants to women and young people to advance their education, careers, and faith development. Ogden Santa Run The Ogden Santa Run 5K is the first and largest of the Utah Santa Runs. Held in Historic Downtown Ogden this race runs just prior to the Ogden Holiday Light Parade and down Washington Blvd. All participants get a Santa Suit to run in and Milk and Cookie Aid stations supported by Elves that dress as Volunteers. Music is played over the entire course of the race.
