The Run The Ridge 5K, 10K, and 25K Trail Run is a culturally and historically significant event as runners will be traveling some of the same dirt roads and beautiful overlooks that Father of Bluegrass Music, Bill Monroe, and his beloved Uncle Pen did. This will be a fun but challenging event with steep inclines and declines to navigate going up to the top of the Ridge and coming back down. The scenic course winds “high in the hills of ‘ol Kentucky,” as Monroe put it. The race will start and finish at the celebrated Bill Monroe Homeplace and will feature plenty of great bluegrass music, including live bluegrass on the course. Run the Ridge coincides with two other Bill Monroe Foundation events, “Pickin’ on the Porch” and “Camping and Jamming.”  A live bluegrass band will perform free-of-charge Saturday evening on the Homeplace porch.  Runners are encouraged to stay and enjoy the show.  Dinner at 5:00, music at 6:00.  Bluegrass pickers and enthusiasts will be camping throughout the week

This trail run is so special and so different from what you will experience in the city. Run through the hills and knobs of the Beautiful Forkland Community. Your registration includes your ticket to the Forkland Festival pancake breakfast and of course a T shirt. Then plan on spending some time at the festival enjoying the crafts and music. The run starts with a grueling quarter mile uphill trek followed by open meadows and woodland trails and finishing with a downhill run to the finish line. The unique handmade awards will be presented at the pancake breakfast in the shelter behind the Community Center. Once you've experienced this unique trail run you will want to return every year. If you're not into running, enjoy a walk through the countryside with friends. The Sandusky County Park District will be having a 5K and Youth Race on the PK 5K Trail named after local runner Pam Graver- Koenig located on the grounds of Creek Bend Farm- Wilson Nature Center 720 South Main Street, Lindsey, Ohio 43442.   All proceeds will be donated to the Sandusky County Park District. Stretch your running legs and support Grove Christian Outreach Center at the 5th annual Grove Trotter 5K/10K. The event will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025 taking off from Chickahominy Riverfront Park. The run will start out going over the Chickahominy River Bridge, out on the Capital Trail and then back in to the park for a full 5K or 10K. The entire run will take place on the well maintained Capital Trail. This is a Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix event, and awards will be given for various age groups. The Grove Trotter 5K/10K Bridge Run is a fundraising event to support Grove Christian Outreach Center. Join us on October 10th, 2026 for the Frackville Fright to benefit the Hillside SPCA of Pottsville. The Frackville Fright will begin and end at the Elks Lodge, Frackville. This will be a night run so bring your flashlights and glow sticks! The course will take you through the rolling streets of Frackville. Come run or walk the Best Dam Run! This point-to-point 10K course features views of pristine waters, shading forests, interesting geology and bald eagles, osprey and colorful waterfowl. Participants are bused approximately 6 miles east of Estacada to the North Fork Lake start. The course meanders along the wild and scenic Clackamas River for most of your journey to the downtown Estacada finish line.   Post-race food and awards will take place near the finish line at SE 4th Ave and Broadway.  After your event you can also stroll along the shops and venues of Estacada. This event is limited to 750 entrants so don't wait and register now!

Join us on October 10th, 2026 for the Frackville Fright to benefit the Hillside SPCA of Pottsville. The Frackville Fright will begin and end at the Elks Lodge, Frackville. This will be a night run so bring your flashlights and glow sticks! The course will take you through the rolling streets of Frackville. There will be gentle inclines, some not so gentle inclines, with a downhill finish. This event is open to all ages and abilities. Walkers are welcome! Come dressed in your scariest, funniest, or group costumes for a chance to win some prizes! Top 3 overall runners will receive unique Frackville Fright awards as well as the top 2 in each age group. Our annual Walk For Life 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026. This is a timed race starting and finishing at Doodle Park in Pickens, SC. The race will be ran on a Certified Course. The 5K Run/Walk is family friendly for all ages and a great way to involve your family in supporting the sanctity of life! We are a pregnancy care center serving families in Pickens County and surrounding areas during and after pregnancy. We believe that life begins at conception and that salvation comes through belief in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All proceeds from this race will go directly to Hope Women's Center in supporting their ministry. The race will begin at 9:00AM.  Awards will be presented around 10:00am.
