RUN! GEEK! RUN! is an annual, charity 5K run/walk race, on a USATF certified, flat and fast course. We also have a 1-mile Fun Run option. Truly a community event - hosted by an Alexandria nonprofit, supported by local schools and organizations, and benefiting a different Alexandria-based non-profit each year. Our 2026 beneficiary is the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria.

Weighted Angels is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization operating out of the Virginia Peninsula. We provide weighted stuffed animals to grieving families who have experienced stillbirth and infant loss before they leave the hospital. Our mission is to make sure no family leaves the hospital with empty arms. Did you know the fastest 5k ever run was completed by Joshua Cheptegei in 12 minutes and 35 seconds? With the current rate of stillbirth being 1 every 16 seconds, that means in just that short time, an average of 47 babies were born silently into this world. Get ready for the Tantalus 10-Mile Challenge, taking place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, in the beautiful city of Honolulu! This exhilarating race features a scenic one-loop course that starts at 6:30 a.m. on Makiki Heights Drive, near Halau Kumana School. Participants will embark on a thrilling uphill journey along Makiki Heights Drive, transitioning to Tantalus Drive and climbing for about five miles before enjoying a downhill stretch on Round Top Drive. Runners will then make their way back, finishing strong with a final uphill push on Makiki Heights Drive. For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, an optional early start at 6:00 a.m. is available for walkers and runners planning to finish in over 2.5 hours. Just remember to check in with the timer by 5:45 a.m. and bring a flashlight or headlamp to navigate the early morning darkness. The Golden Grizzlies Festival of Races is an event for all ages and abilities! Gravel racing through the Fall colors in the Upper Peninsula of MI, what could be better?  We offer 36, 50, and 100-mile course options that you can fiercely compete in, or slow roll and enjoy the beautiful scenery.  Race will start and finish at the gravel pit off of Sportsmens Club Rd (45.91628° N, 87.99001° W).  The courses will be minimally marked, a .gpx-compatible device is required for navigation.  Helmets and rear flashing lights are required, as is following all traffic laws and rules of the road.

Race for the Refuge The Highland City Striders welcome you to explore the trails at the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge in Sudbury, MA! The Race for the Refuge begins at the ARNWR Visitor’s Center and traverses the beautiful trails around the Refuge. The course will lead runners into this idyllic nature refuge, past ponds, through pine and oak forests, and alongside mysterious military bunkers. Course Description The double track trails are hard-packed earth and gravel. It’s a great course for beginner trail runners. For the advanced trail runner, it could be an opportunity for a new PR!  Events The lineup features a 10K (1 loop) and 30K (3 loops) races, and a 6-hour timed event. For the timed courses, runners may do as many loops as desired. A loop must be completed by 3pm to be counted towards final mileage. Ranking of runners is determined by the runner who completes the most loops in the shortest period of time. Runners in the 6-hour race must start their last lap by 2pm. Th

We have partnered with USA Race Timing and Event Management to bring you the Annual Dublin Pet Fair 5K race, sponsored by Pet Palace! The race will start and end at the Dublin Rec Center and will travel through the Indian Run Meadows Park with the turning point at the ML Red Trabue Nature Reserve. The purpose of the Dublin Pet Fair is to bring awareness to animal welfare organizations in the state of Ohio, to promote adoption of shelter and rescue pets, to showcase animal related vendors and sponsors, and to provide an educational and entertaining event for the public. Proceeds from this event will be utilized for spay/neuter efforts to help control pet overpopulation, a major concern faced by the rescue community in our state.  Rescue organizations and shelters will bring along adoptable pets. First Annual NCHI Inaugural Community Health Walk

Join us for the 11th annual Kelsey Bradley Favrot Memorial 5K Run/Walk on Sunday September 27, 2026, in Audubon Park! This event honors the memory of Kelsey Favrot, who bravely fought brain cancer and wanted to help others facing the same diagnosis. Her goal was to establish a neuro-oncology program at LSU Health New Orleans so other patients could receive quality care without having to travel out of state. Proceeds from the race each year are donated back out in the Plainfield and surrounding communities to non-profits and other organizations. In the history of the race, the chamber has been able to donate over $400,000.00 back to the community. Each year a Give Back Luncheon takes place in November where this happens. MoCo Dems 5K Fall Fun Run is organized by the MD District 15 Democratic Caucus in Montgomery County, Maryland. This is an annual 5K (3.1mile) run/walk event for adults and youth that will be held at the Agricultural History Farm Park in Derwood, MD on Sunday Sept. 27, 2026. This outdoor, fun and healthy gathering is to promote community engagement and voter participation in Montgomery County and our beautiful State of Maryland. Welcome to the MCRRC Parks Half Marathon! The race begins just before sunrise, at 6:45 AM, on a scenic Montgomery County road and quickly transitions into a tour of beautiful Rock Creek Park. As you run through the park, you’ll experience the sun rising through the tree cover and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Mile markers help keep you on track, and we also have an excellent pace team ready to help you reach your goals. Our thoughtfully placed hydration stations, complete with awesome volunteers, will keep you hydrated and motivated.  Everyone always loves our FREE, high-quality race photos, so be sure to wear a smile along the course because we will have photographers along the way capturing race memories. At the finish, catch up with your friends to exchange race stories at our Finish Festival.

We spend the morning honoring and remembering service members who have been killed or who have died as a result of a service connected illness.    A shirt, medal and brunch are included in the registration fee.

The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who've served our nations since. We activate & unite communities and empower local veterans, active duty, first responders, and families of the fallen. TMF is proud to partner with GORUCK again with rucking divisions at every run. Rucking is a sport based on special forces training in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. Miles for Migraine will host its 13th annual 2-mile Walk, 5K Run and Relax Philadelphia Event on Sunday September 29th at The Navy Yard Philadelphia. This event is a fundraiser for Migraine & Headache Awareness, Treatment & Research. Dress up in your best purple flair for a chance at a fun prize!  All funds raised will benefit the Jefferson Headache Center and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to support local migraine research and fellowship training programs and Miles for Migraine programs & services.
