South Seas Captiva Island Triathlon

Your island escape awaits!  Join us at the South Seas Captiva Island Triathlon and swim in the pristine waters of the Gulf of Mexico, bike on a closed-course (to vehicular traffic) and enjoy a beautiful run on Florida's Gulf Coast. This beginner friendly event will take place on September 27, 2026 and will feature a Super Sprint for beginners (200 yard Swim, 5 mile Bike, and a 1.5 mile run), and a Sprint distance triathlon, duathlon and aquabike (Tri: .25 mile swim,10 mile bike, and a 3.1 mile run -  Duathon: 1 mile run, 10 mile bike, and a 3.1 mile run - Aquabike: .25 swim, and a 10 mile bike, no run). Only 45 minutes, yet a world away, Captiva Island is connected to Florida’s mainland via Sanibel Causeway and a small bridge over Blind Pass, joining it to Sanibel Island.
