Spook Hill Cider & Wine 4 Mile Run

Burkittsville, MD
THE 2025 SPOOK HILL CIDER & WINE 4-MILE RUN HAS BEEN CANCELED, but we hope to bring this classic back in 2026, so put it on your calendar for next year!  Why did we cancel the 2025 race?  The short answer is that one of the key landowners on the course has put their property on the market, thus our ability to utilize the orchard portion of the course is in question. We will reach out to the new owners at the appropriate time to begin land-use negotiations.  I’ve always prided myself on giving our runners a great course and a wonderful, inclusive race-day experience. Hopefully we will be able to bring Spook Hill back, bigger and better than ever, in 2026!  Most appreciably, Bill Susa, Race Director, SMHS Runs  email: spookhill4mile@gmail.com

Thank you for registering for our 5th annual charity race!  We are excited to host this event and to interact with local community members and businesses.  This race has grown from being a small community event (previously called LaunchCARES Charity Race) to a county-wide effort of uniting people and companies who CARE.  We are thrilled to announce the charity recipients of the 2026 race - - - COMFORT CASES and COVENANT LIFE SCHOOL (our location host)!  Both of these organizations work diligently to improve the lives of children in and around MoCo.     Your donation is tax deductible.  After the races are over we will work together on a service project for Comfort Cases.  Together, we will aim to pack 1,000 backpacks of essential goods for children in foster care.
