There will be prizes for the top male and female finishers, and racer swag for all participants. Whether you're chasing a PR this spring season or want to THAW out with a leisurely stroll, this race is for you! The Heroes of America Marathon and Half Marathon Saturday, March 21, 2026 race starts and finishes at the intersection of West 10th St and Bay Ave in front of Woodruff Park, Columbus, Ga two blocks north of the Columbus Marriott.  The full marathon runs both north and south of Woodruff Park (1000 Bay Ave) utilizing some streets including the 14th street Pedestrian Bridge onto the beautiful Riverwalk, going down and looping inside Fort Moore (AKA Benning).  The course will then exit Fort Moore (AKA Benning) at mile 17 and returns passing the Iron Works Convention Center exiting to Bay Ave to W. 9th under the train trestle and back the start/finish line.  The course is reasonably flat with some smaller inclines.  The Heroes of America 5k also starts at W 10th and Bay Ave immediately after the Half Marathon start. UNITED WE RUN for those struggling to make ends meet in Hall County. Join us as we race through Phase II of the scenic Highlands to Islands Trail. Proceeds will benefit United Way of Hall County’s One Hall: United Against Poverty Initiative. Events will be held rain or shine. In the event of dangerous weather, we will make every effort to reschedule. All entry fees are non-refundable and can be applied to the rescheduled event or donated to United Way of Hall County. The second annual Spartan Shamrock Sprint takes you on a two-loop journey around the local high school and elementary school. The course begins at 9:00 am near the track with a steady incline towards the main road, followed by a decline along the road and into the elementary bus loop. A brief section of the course leads down and back between the baseball and football fields, through the student parking lot, and repeats the whole course, ending with a photo finish on the school track. While you wait for awards, grab some free lite refreshments and take a photo with Sparty the Spartan, the school mascot, or indulge in a cup of hot or iced coffee (we won't judge) from Tom's Coffee Truck. The race is enjoyable for runners and walkers of all levels. Strollers may have difficulty with some portions of the course, such as gravel sections and over one curb.  Awards will be given to 5K finishers in Overall Male and Female, Masters, and age group categories from 9 up to 70+. Join us for the Wendy Puff Eureka Spirits Run, a fun and relaxed 5K through the charming town of Eureka. This out‑and‑back route starts and ends at Wendy Puff, with a scenic stretch to a local cemetery before looping back for a post‑run celebration. Starved Rock Runners Ltd. brings to you, a rewards program for participating in club races. Club members will have the opportunity to earn a unique reward. At this time, we are exploring options and "top secret". In 2024 it was a full zippered hoodie that was printed with reflective material to be seen during the early morning or late evening runs. These were customized by an embroidered SRRL logo and your name. I am sure 2026 reward will be even better. These will be presented at the Annual Banquet in March of 2027.There will be no cost to members, only that you will need to register no later than 15JUNE2026. That is all you need to do. There will be 4 club races in 2026; Lori’s Walleye 5k (March), Boo Milby 5k (August), Run the Path 10k (November), and Turkey Trot 3 Mile (November). Join us for the St. John’s Alumni & Friends 5K Run/Walk on March 21 in conjunction with our Annual Benefit Auction weekend! The race will take place Saturday morning starting at 9 a.m. with participants running or walking a fun, scenic course around Beloit. Whether you are running, walking or cheering from the sidelines, it’s a great way to reconnect and kick off the weekend together. All registered participants by March 4th receive an event t-shirt.  Individuals can still register after March 4, but will not receive a t-shirt due to printing deadlines. Cash prizes will be awarded to top male and female finishers. Proceeds go to support St. John’s Catholic Schools. Per KSHSAA, Track and Field students in grades 7-12 can only participate in either race if they HAVE NOT officially started their season by attending a practice session.

WELCOME TO THE AMERICAN BOTTOM This is a unique road ultra on a beautiful course, following the Mississippi River, as you run through the historic American Bottom. Race headquarters is in Columbia, Illinois just outside of St. Louis, Missouri. The race offers a 110 mile and a 55 mile option. The course will loosely follow the American Discovery Trail and the Kaskaskia - Cahokia Trail (Illinois' first road). You’ll watch the sun rise over the Illinois bluffs while running on levees and deserted backroads, from Columbia to the confluence of the Kaskaskia and Mississippi Rivers. You’ll make your way through many historic sites, including Piggott's Fort, Fort de Chartres, and the town of Prairie du Rocher. This is a flat and fast course with generous cut off times, plenty of aid stations, and a friendly atmosphere.
