The 2026 installment of the Mercer University Homecoming 5K race is scheduled for October 31, 2026 at 8am. The race will consist of two laps around the beautiful Mercer University campus with a short trip through Five Star Stadium and along Coleman Avenue. Registration includes a Homecoming 5K tshirt based on availability. Please note that online registration will shut down on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 8:00am. This year's 27th Annual 5K BOO RUN on October 31st is a great way for family and friends to enjoy the beautiful and ever-changing landscape of Flowery Branch, Georgia. Aloha Friends of Hale Kau Kau, Hale Kau Kau delivers 115 meals to the homebound elderly and disabled each day and serves a hot meal to anyone who comes by the kitchen at dinner time, currently we are serving about 40-80 complete hot meals from the kitchen each evening; thus Hale Kau Kau prepares and delivers/serves over 150 meals every day of the year. . In order to continue to feed those who are hungry, we must rely on the generosity of our many supporters. Racers will enjoy scenic views of the historic “Bluff City” along the Wabash River. Timed 5K and 10K distances will be offered in addition to the half marathon race. The start/finish line for the race will be at the Mt. Carmel Merchant’s Park located at the intersection of 4th and Market Streets. The race start time will be 8:00 am. All runners should be in the start corral by 7:50 am. We will close the course at 11:00 am CST. Runners who have not crossed the finish line before the 3-hour mark will not be timed. The Historic Irvington Halloween Festival's kids' race! Join us for a 1/8 mile run around Irving Circle Park, just south of the Halloween Festival Street Fair Kids Zone. All races will kick off from South Audubon Road just north of the park. We will be running 5 different heats this year: Ages 10-12 Ages 7-9 Ages 5-6 Ages 3-4 Ages 2 and under We will start lining up the first wave around 11:25, and kick off at 11:30. You will always have people around you to encourage you and get you to the finish line! The path is completely protected from traffic, except at a few cross roads where we will have police and volunteers to keep you safe. There are also several porta potties along the way, which is always nice- especially on the longer distances. If you have never been on the Pumpkinvine Path, it is a local gem! We are so lucky to have access to this fabulous path in our area! We welcome back all of our past participants! Whether you're bringing the whole family or bringing your bravest self, we've got an experience for you. 🎃 Trick or Trot (Family Friendly) Dress up and walk through the underground with the whole family! This is a safe, no-touch experience where kids and adults alike can see the zombies up close, enjoy candy stops along the way, and take in the spooky (but not scary) atmosphere. Costumes are highly encouraged! **an adult must register with a child; children will not be allowed through without an adult** 🧟 Full Exposure: Wave Red & Wave Black Think you can survive the outbreak? Strap on a flag belt and make your way through one mile of zombie-infested underground warehouse. Zombies will be lurking around every corner, trying to snatch your flags before you reach the end. Rules keep our zombies on foot (no running!) to keep things safe and fair for everyone. Make it through with at least one flag remaining, and you'll earn your "I Survived" medal. Lose all your flags along the way? You'll take home a "Casualty" medal instead — still a badge of honor for facing the horde!
