Run or walk the beautiful Northeast Alabama Community College campus on Saturday, March 21, 2025, and help us to raise money for scholarships at the First Southern State Bank Mustang 5K!   The Mustang Run / Walk will begin promptly at 8 AM from the Athletic Complex on the Northeast Campus at 138 Alabama Highway 35 Rainsville, Alabama.  Chip timing will be provided.  All proceeds from this race will benefit scholarships at Northeast Alabama Community College.   Pre-registration until February 14 is only $25.  February 14 until day of race is $30.  Registration day of race is $40.  Students pay only $20.  To be guaranteed a long sleeve race t-shirt, please register before March 1.

Please join La Paz Unified Firefighters in our annual 5k, 10k, and 1-mile fun walk/run. March is the perfect time of the year in the beautiful desert terrain. Troop 99, based in Litchfield Park, was chartered by the Goodyear Aircraft Corp. in 1943.  Our Troop has been developing young boys into leaders in the community ever since.Currently, over 100 Scouts have earned the rank of Eagle Scout in our Troop.Our current Charted Organization is the Church at Litchfield Park.

The 38th Annual Whale Run & Walk for 2026!Fort Bragg, Ca is a small, picturesque city on the Pacific Ocean, nestled between sandy beaches and the redwood forest. We are the home of the world famous Glass Beach! Every year there is a huge Whale Festival on the 3rd weekend of March, and Saturday morning the Whale Run kicks it off! After the Whale Run there are events all over town, including a craft fair; guided whale viewing; clam chowder, beer and wine tasting, entertainment, and music everywhere. The Oldest Race in the State of Indiana and the Flagship Race of our club - Indy Runners and Walkers!  Initiated in 1970 by educators and coaches from Carmel High School, and managed by our volunteer led, not-for-profit club since the early 80's, Sam Costa has the legacy, charm, and friendly participant experience you would expect from a race put on by runners for runners.  The Half is a test of early season fitness for those who train all winter. The Quarter provides a distance to build on for those with aspirations for longer events later in the Spring. Either way, the Sam Costa has a place for you! There is a 3-hour time limit for the Costa. This equates to a 13:44 pace for the Half Marathon (27:28 for the Quarter).  Walkers are strongly encouraged to select the Quarter Marathon. The Milliken Earth Run cross country 5K is held annually on the beautiful campus of the Roger Milliken Research and Customer Center (RMC) in Spartanburg, SC.  This course has been the selected site for NCAA, Jr. Olympics & Jr. College Championships and is the home of the Eye Opener High School and Collegiate Meet. Milliken & Company encourages environmental stewardship with the event, while runners experience the mostly grass cross country course within the Milliken Arboretum.  This is a Greenville Track Club (GTC) Corporate Shield event.  Individual recognition of award categories will be given in results for the Corporate Shield age categories. Corporate Shield age categories are Male, Female – Open, Masters (40 and over), Grand Masters (50 and over), and Senior Masters (60 and over). There is a race cap of 600 participants. Over the past couple of years, we have been able to renovate two wings of this hospital. Help us continue to enhance the services of Edgefield County Healthcare. Legend has it that before the time of Elizabeth Wetmore and John Cook, there was the Leprechaun of the Lake.  The Leprechaun has only been seen during the 3rd week of March in the woods surrounding what is now known as Rock Ridge. He is known to carry a "Golden Shillelagh" which has only been seen by a few lucky Rock Ridge residents while they were running at high speeds in the woods now known as Muriel Hepner Park.  Those  residents were Dan Kane (the founder of the race)and the previous winners: Ariana Bauer, Brian Christ, Catherine Borkowski, Graydon Kolk(3x), Molly Gahagan, Bryan Coward, Austin Coward and Wylie Kolk (it's a family affair). Come try and capture our modern day version of this Golden Shillelagh by competing in 5K race/walk. The winners names will be etched on the Golden Shillelagh which will be proudly displayed in the clubhouse for years to come.
