Historic White Mills 5K

White Mills, KY
Join us for  another fun scenic run through White Mills, Kentucky on Saturday, August 15, 2026, beginning at 8:30am EDT. The White Mills Community is home to the ever-growing and Historic White Mills Christian Camp, which started in June 1940 as a “camper” week at the old White Mills hotel, where 37 campers were in attendance for the first-ever full week of camp. In March 1949, the White Mills Christian Assembly formed and purchased the old hotel, where eventually they would add dorms and hire a camp manager. Today, they offer 25 camp sessions during the ten weeks of summer, during which hundreds upon hundreds of children come to camp. Every year the small-town community of White Mills, in western Hardin County, Kentucky, hosts a festival called White Mills Days. Various activities start on Friday evenings, such as beauty and pet contests, music, fellowship, and fun. On Saturday, the small town shuts down, and the activities resume on and around the Historic White Mills Christian Camp

THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER TRAIL RACE TO BENEFIT FLYING PIGS ANIMAL SANCTUARY

Grandview, TN
August 16-17, 2025 | Somewhere Real Hot, Real Hilly | Rural Tennessee- The Barkley's LONG LONG Distant Cousin Welcome to the heat. Welcome to the hills. Welcome to The Dog Days of Summer, where the trails are brutal, the vibes are feral, and every sweaty, soul-grinding step helps save the lives of animals in rural Tennessee—places where shelters don’t exist and animal control is just a rumor. RACE OPTIONS:Choose your pain:  1-mile loop or 3-mile loop (we THINK that's how far they are...)  1 hour, 3 hour, 6 hour, 12 hour, or the ultimate 24 HOUR GAUNTLET Each loop starts and ends at a single aid station party zone. You’ll climb gnarly hills (seriously, we’re an hour from the Barkley Marathons—so yeah, it’s gross out here), melt into the Tennessee humidity, and then do it all over again… and again… and again. There's no elevation chart—just pain, pers
