Join us face to face OR virtually for the 32nd Annual JW Tiger 5K!   As a fundraiser for our Cross Country team, we have held a 5K race every year for the past 32 years!  This year, you can come RUN THIS TOWN or run YOUR town.    This gives you all the opportunity to join us as we celebrate the wonderful rush of finishing a 5K and you will be helping us raise the money we need to purchase food, snacks, drinks and equipment for our Cross Country team!   We will medal top 3 in each age group as well as special pottery for top 3 male and female runners provided by Mark Ralston, retired Art teacher.

The 11th Annual Rexy Run/Walk is back on August 15th, 2026! We will be offering our 5K and NEW 10K course. The Rexy Run/Walk begins and ends at Broken Arrow Park, a picturesque city park, in southeast Lawrence and will wind through the Baker Wetlands on a combination of paved concrete trails and fine gravel trails. The Rexy Run is stroller and dog friendly.The Rexy Run is hosted by BabyJay's Legacy of Hope, a 501C based out of Lawrence that helps families with children who are fighting cancer. We help offset the extra expenses families have that are not covered by health insurance.

Join us on Saturday, August 15 in downtown Indianapolis for the 2026 Race Away From Domestic Violence 5k, benefiting the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV). This impactful 5k aims to raise awareness of the devastating affects that domestic violence has on our families and communities.  ICADV works for the prevention and elimination of domestic violence – until the violence ends.  Over the past 22 years, ICADV has raised over $400,000 to support survivors with resources and programs that increase their safety and stability including legal, housing and economic supports.  Participants can run, walk or roll through a route beginning at the IUI Michael A. Carroll Stadium, which offers beautiful views of the White River and Indianapolis Zoo. The 5K course is accessible and allows individuals of all ages and abilities to participate. The 13th annual Hy Noon Kiwanis Storm the Lake triathlon/duathlon is a charity event for Storm Lake Kiwanis Projects for Youth. Join other athletes at beautiful Storm Lake, IA King’s Pointe Waterpark and Resort. Swim in the protected bay, bike around the lake and run along the lake finishing at the flower lined path. All transition areas are at the waterpark. Storm Lake is considered one of the most beautiful venues for a triathlon in Iowa. The entire route is well marked with yellow vested Kiwanis volunteers cheering the athletes and providing assistance all along the way.  The triathlon is 600 m. swim in the bay, 12 mile bike and 5K run.  The duathlon is a 1 mile run, 12 mile bike and 5 K run all along the same race area as the triathlon. Join us for the Annual Atomic Two Miler August 16, 2025. This is a night run that will take place behind the levee across from Forsythe Park. The Breakaway 5K and Marilyn & Nat Golzbein Memorial Fun Run are the principal fundraisers supporting scholarships for Old Orchard Beach High School graduates. The scholarships are awarded by the MAPS Scholarship Foundation, a group of retired educators and former students from OOB who aspire to support the continuing education of OOB High School graduates. 100% of the proceeds directly benefit the MAPS Foundation. In 2025, MAPS Scholarship Foundation granted sixteen $1000 scholarships to Old Orchard Beach High School graduates. Lifestyle Sports Global LLC will be hosting an Olympic, Sprint and Half Ironman Triathlon on Sunday August 17, 2025, in Lincoln, Maine.  The Olympic Triathlon will be 1500 meter swim, 40k bike and 10k run which will begin at 7:30 am.  The Sprint Triathlon will be 750 meter swim, 20K bike and 5K run which will begin at 7:30 am. The Half Ironman Triathlon will be a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run which will begin at 7:30 am. There will be a Duathlon option for the sprint and Olympic events. 14th Annual 5K for Kelli Presented by the Breast Wishes Foundation Saturday, August 15th at 9am.  Join us in remembering the life of Kelli James and honoring all the breast cancer survivors, the fighters and the loved ones we’ve lost. 100% of proceeds go to granting wishes for women with breast cancer through the Breast Wishes Foundation. The 5k for Kelli Run/Walk is a super fun event for the whole family. Welcome to the 12th annual Catch-A-Pig (CAP) 5K – this is a great opportunity to have a unique race experience AND support The Boys & Girls Club of Harford County! The race is an out-and-back along the MA & PA Trail.  1K Bacon Stroll walkers are invited to join in the fun!  The kicker: THIS IS A CHASE!  We’ll have young runners dressed in pink pig shirts (a.k.a. The Splash and Dash is an exciting and rapidly growing sport that combines swimming and running. The Americana YMCA will be hosting its first Splash and Dash event for kids aged 3-18. Participants can compete individually or as part of a team of two, consisting of one swimmer and one runner.  Please note that results will be based on start and finish times, without individual splits, which will help us determine the awards for each division. We will award medals to the first and second place winners in each division.   Your child division will be based on his/her age the day of the race. This is a seven mile run through the trails of Iroquois Park.  We'll start near the amphitheater winding through Iroquois Park.  Wolfman / Dogman / Upright Walking Canid Cryptids while there are may names for these beasts, Kentucky has its fair share of reports and stories. The most well known is likely the Beast of LBL (Land Between the Lakes). Closer to Louisville we have the Beast of Bullitt County. Reports of sightings of these beasts come from across the state. Many describe the beast as around 7 Ft tall, with dog/werewolf type features, walking upright through the shadows. Within it lies the tallest hill in the city: Mann Hill.  It's a very spectator-friendly course with an ideal variety of fast riding, technical riding, and climbing. The first mile is generally uphill and wide enough for passing at almost every point. ​This race brings out a large crowd to the very popular trail system. The Life Worth Living 5K Run and Walk at Abbott Farms is an event to raise awareness to prevent suicide.     The 5K course is open to all, whether looking for a competitive race or just a fun time.   Certainly unique, the road and trial course will run through various areas on the farm.  The 5K course will include the roads through the housing development behind Abbott Farms.  The course also includes a very special memorial orchard remembering over 80 victims with local ties who lost their battle to suicide.  Not your average race!   Runners will be timed utilizing chips.    At Abbott Farms, there will be ice cream, bakery goods, berry picking and a variety of other family fun activities.  And don't forget to visit the baby animals in the barnyard. The Race to the Rock 5K is back!  As most of you know, Chimney Rock and Lake Lure were devastated by Hurricane Helene in 2024.While the area is slowly recovering, the Lake Lure Olympiad Committee is pleased to be able to bring back both the Race to the Rock 5K as well as the Slam the Dam 10K, as part of their "Race for Recovery" weekend. It's an officially sanctioned USA Triathlon event that takes place on the third Sunday of every August at Indian Pines Park in Penn Yan, right in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York. The best brother, friend, or project manager anyone could ask for. He has made a legacy in his 22 years of living that most people strive for in a lifetime. Join us for our third annual Tails & Trails 5K! The race is open to participants of all ages and will kick off with a Cat Walk 1K at 10am (dogs and cats are welcome in both races). The 5K race begins at 10:30am and will take runners along Independence Oaks’ beautiful trails. When physical exercise is included in treatment, we have seen a tremendous increase in recovery. Onsite registration begins at 7 a.m. at the athletic complex on Nanita Drive. 8k runners take off at 8 a.m. At 8:15, the 5k runners and walkers depart. Online registration is $40 and includes a t-shirt and participant medals for all. Stick around town after the race and enjoy a mouth-watering Blueberry Pancake Breakfast then head over to the Entertainment Tent/Marketplace area and snatch up some flea market and craft show bargains.

The Mount Vernon Park (MVP) race is BACK!. It is the last race of our season and a great way to kick off the school year. The swim will be in the MVP pool followed by a double out and back bike course. The run course is a u-shaped out and back with a bit of an incline on the out part.

A destination race in paradise!!  The City Bikes Key Largo Triathlon is set at world famous John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo (just a short drive from Miami) and will take place on August 16, 2026. This event will feature an Olympic and Sprint distance Triathlon and Duathlon, as well as an Olympic distance Aquabike race. Come for the weekend or make it an escape.
