Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is excited to announce June 5th, 2026 as the date for The GOAT Run 5K! We’re excited to have this year’s race on Friday night with registration beginning at 5:30 PM.  Proceeds from this event benefit the Greater Milford Boys & Girls Club. Before the race, at around 6:20 there will be a kids run where all participants receive a medal. Light refreshments will be available post race.

CASA of the Heartland will host  race two the Light the Night 5K: Superhero Walk/Run on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Buttermilk Falls in Brandenburg. Our goal is to raise awareness for the most vulnerable children in our community—and use this night to pay tribute to our local heroes who protect and serve. This event is a celebration of those hometown heroes, and a chance for all of us to show up for kids who need someone in their corner. The Badin Lake Triathlon provides a perfect opportunity for all fitness levels to get involved in a sprint triathlon. Participants will swim a 750 yard open water swim in Badin Lake, bike 13 miles through rolling country roads of Stanly County, and run a 5K through historic Badin, NC.  In 2019, Badin Lake Triathlon joined forces with Trivium Racing and became part of the Trivium Multisport Series. The run is to honor fallen Clermont County Deputy Sheriff's Detective Bill Brewer, who was killed in the line of duty in February, 2019. Please join us for our 14th annual 5K run/walk fundraiser. This event helps us to bring important resources to our clients and the community.  ASHA-Ray of Hope exists to support and counsel individuals and families affected by domestic violence in Ohio, especially in the South Asian community. Through advocacy, collaboration and awareness activities, ASHA will help educate the greater community and connect individuals and families with the resources they need to achieve self-reliance.

This flat, fast course starts in the village and runs South out of town through the industrial park and then winds through some of the streets and alleys in the village back to the finish line. We have the Seedling Scamper is a free kids run for ages 10 & under that takes place before the 5K.  It is about 1/2 mile long, and the kids get to cross the finish line, for a photo finish for the parents. Each scamper will receive a patch at the finish line. What is the LivSports 24 Hour Adult Hockey Marathon benefiting LivFree? Here’s how it all works - the event is a continuous game with 60 to 90 skaters playing on two teams in 3 rotating groups based on ability, with a running score from opening puck drop to the final horn. Each player raises $1000 dollars for the cause. LivFree is a pediatric cancer non-profit organization that provides children and their families with moments of joy to take a break from struggle and enjoy some family time together. Whether it's tickets to a game, a Broadway show, or a night out, LivFree is here to help the whole family.  When will this take place and how does it work? On Saturday, June 6, Akron Promise will host the fifth annual Kenmore Cowbell 7k, which highlights the Summit Lake Trail as well as Akron’s Music Row, Kenmore Boulevard, where guitar shops and percussion are plentiful.  The Cowbell 7k is unique not only in its distance but in its combination of natural and urban experiences. The race will kick off at 8 a.m. at the historic Rialto Theatre to the sound of guitars and cow bells. It will continue east on Kenmore Boulevard to the south end of Summit Lake, Akron's only glacial lake, where runners will connect to the Towpath via the Summit Lake Trail. Brought to you by the Spindale Burrito League! How many times can you run a 0.34 mile segment? How about if the time to complete gets shorter and shorter by the hour? This race will be a modified version of a last man standing style race. For the first hour, you will run the segment every 6 minutes. That time will reduce by 1 minute each hour. After the 4th hour the segment time will cap at 3:00 minutes. The race will end when there is only 1 person left.  Every two hours we will pause for 10 minutes for a bathroom break.

The Recreation Advisory Board will host a family-friendly 5K/3K walk/run as part of National Trails Day.  Designed to raise funds to support the maintenance of current greenways and the development of new greenways throughout Wake Forest, the National Trails Day 5K/3K is a timed walk/run for both children and adults. Strollers are welcome but will be placed at the back of the pack to allow runners a clear start. Please note: Registrations will be accepted on the day of the event.
