Funner to be a Runner

Free race for children 8th grade and younger as part of the annual Spring Run Off.  In past years we've had over 450 kids in these races so please get pre-registered early so all you have to do is pick up a bib race morning. We do have same day registration from 8:30 to 10:30 am. Bike for Women is Alaska's premier all-women's time trial. Started in 2000, this annual event takes place on a 9 mile course that provides both challenging uphills and breath-catching downhills. Over 700 women of all ages and abilities participate in this fun competition, which serves as a great precursor to the Gold Nugget Triathlon and other summer races. The Bike for Women is part of the Arctic Bike Club's road race division and is the main fund raiser for the club. And since 2014, the club has also been donating $3.00 of every registration to Let Every Woman Know Alaska--a charity dedicated to raising awareness and providing support for women living with gynecological cancers.

Lace Up For Learning is a nonprofit that was started in 2024 by five 8th grade friends who believe in the value of community, the importance of education, and the power of running.  The mission behind this annual event is to raise money for under resourced classrooms across the greater Sacramento area. In the first two years, participants, donors, and sponsors raised more than $30,000 -- reaching thousands of students, K-12.  The 5k and 10k courses run on the beautiful, flat paved Parkway Trails in Folsom. Napa MPS Race for a Cure

2026 Napa Race for a Cure 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk The National MPS Society will host a timed 5K run and 1 mile walk, beginning at 10:30 AM on Sunday, April 26.  The 1 mile walk will begin at 10:40 AM.  Packet pickup and day of registration will open at 8:30 AM.  A picnic for attendees and volunteers will be held after the race! This event is open to individuals of all ages and abilities. Once you register, either as an individual or as part of a team, you are set. We would love to see the posts of pictures participants on their 5K route. This is completely optional – but since our goal is to bring awareness to MPS and ML, we want to do just that. And by using #MPSAwareness on your social media posts, we will be able to keep up with the fun. Not able to join in person? Participate virtually! Strides For Scholars

The Strides For Scholars point-to-point, downhill course is the fastest 5K in Connecticut. Set a new PR! Registration and Packet Pickup starts at 7:30 AM and takes place at the Union Elementary School,18 Kinney Hollow RD, Union, CT. This year, the 5K Run or Walk will also take place at Union School, going off at 9:00 AM. There is plenty of parking on site. The race will start at the school and proceed down Kinney Hollow Rd for 3.1 miles through the scenic Yale Forest. There will be a shuttle bus at the finish line to transport runners back to the school. This a among the fastest 5K courses in the state, perfect for a PB.  T-shirts for the first 100 runners/walkers registered by April 1st, 2026. Proceeds from this race go to the Union School Association Scholarship Foundation. Since the first scholarship was awarded in 1995, scholarships have been awarded annually to graduating high school seniors. 2026 Deer Lake 5 Mile Trail Run

It’s back! (and hopefully back for good!) After a 7 year pause and a change of ownership, the Deer Lake Trail Run is back. Deer Lake Outdoor Center, formerly Deer Lake Scout Reservation, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to accessible outdoor education while protecting their more than 250 acres of green space and miles of trails. Come to rural Killingworth, CT to run (or hike) the Deer Lake Trail Run. The challenging 5(ish)-mile course, involving almost 500 ft of elevation gain, traverses the 250+ acre property and offers many scenic views as you navigate the ever-changing elevations on well-marked trails. Join us on a Sunday afternoon for an early season 5K run and one mile walk.  This is a family-friendly community event to celebrate health, wellness, and physical fitness.  The 5K course is USATF certified and endorsed by the Governor's Council for Physical Fitness through the Michigan Fitness Foundation. The race begins near the entrance of Legacy Field at Greenville High School and follows a scenic course along the Fred Meijer Flat River Trail.  The return takes runners through nearby neighborhoods and the campus of Montcalm Community College with an exciting finish through the tunnel onto Legacy Field and across the south 30 yard line of the high school football field.  Proceeds benefit the Education Foundation of Greenville to support health and wellness initiatives at Greenville Public Schools, including mental health support.   Packet pick up will be available on race day starting at 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM. Tear Drop Half Marathon, 10K & 5K

Lace up your sneakers, lean forward and get ready for the 12th Annual Tear Drop Half Marathon! If you’re looking for a fast and scenic half marathon then join us on Sunday, April 26, 2026! All distances will start on top of Fort Mountain at an elevation near 3000 feet and finish in Chatsworth, Georgia, for an over 2000-foot drop for the Half Marathon. All courses (13.1, 10K, 5K) are USAT&F certified for those participants that are looking to set a personal record or for a qualifying time at a race elsewhere. Chatsworth is 80 miles from Atlanta, 40 miles from Chattanooga and 10 miles from Dalton. The courses are on all paved roads and features 7 miles of 5-10% grade downhill for the 13.1, 5 miles downhill for the 10K and 2 miles for the 5K (which will improve your time :40- 1:20 per mile!) and then a flat to rolling finish. Again, this year the Half Marathon will run an out and back on top of the mountain, which runners will encounter several climbs (it's not all downhill). The

Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade.
