The Strides For Scholars point-to-point, downhill course is the fastest 5K in Connecticut. Set a new PR! Registration and Packet Pickup starts at 7:30 AM and takes place at the Union Elementary School,18 Kinney Hollow RD, Union, CT. This year, the 5K Run or Walk will also take place at Union School, going off at 9:00 AM. There is plenty of parking on site. The race will start at the school and proceed down Kinney Hollow Rd for 3.1 miles through the scenic Yale Forest. There will be a shuttle bus at the finish line to transport runners back to the school. This a among the fastest 5K courses in the state, perfect for a PB.  T-shirts for the first 100 runners/walkers registered by April 1st, 2026. Proceeds from this race go to the Union School Association Scholarship Foundation. Since the first scholarship was awarded in 1995, scholarships have been awarded annually to graduating high school seniors. Donations to the USASF can be made directly to the scholarship fund via RunSignUp.

It’s back! (and hopefully back for good!) After a 7 year pause and a change of ownership, the Deer Lake Trail Run is back. Deer Lake Outdoor Center, formerly Deer Lake Scout Reservation, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to accessible outdoor education while protecting their more than 250 acres of green space and miles of trails. Come to rural Killingworth, CT to run (or hike) the Deer Lake Trail Run. The challenging 5(ish)-mile course, involving almost 500 ft of elevation gain, traverses the 250+ acre property and offers many scenic views as you navigate the ever-changing elevations on well-marked trails. This is a true trail course, and the technical nature of the terrain will mean that you will be exposed to rocks, roots, possible mud, etc. There will be awards for male & female winners in each age group listed below as well as the overall male & female winners. The Loudonville Lion Dash is a family-friendly event for the Loudonville Elementary School community. Students participate in timed races ranging from a half-mile to a full mile. The event is also one of the primary fundraisers for the Loudonville Elementary PTA that provides support for programs and resources at Loudonville Elementary School. We highly encourage online pre-registration. You will be asked to create an account through RunSignUp in order to register your student participant. If you already have an account, you may sign-in before starting the registration process. The price of registration is $6.30, which includes a processing fee. The SUNY Canton Men's Hockey and Women's Soccer are hosting a 5K Walk and Run to raise money for the Richard E. Winter Cancer Center in Ogdensburg, New York and the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, New York. Headed into our 14th in-person running, the Seneca7 is an opportunity to spend a day with 6 of your favorite sweaty smelly funny and somewhat athletically inclined friends in a 77.7’ish mile circumnavigation of Seneca Lake. Join us for a race inspired by good fortune and a deep body of blue. The Seneca7 will introduce you to the wonders of Seneca Lake: rushing inlets, crashing waterfalls, banks bathed in golden sunlight. All you (and your team) have to do is run around it. Event registration opens each October and has been consistently capping out in about 5 minutes. So, set those alarms to be ready to click by 7:00 AM on Friday, October 31st.

The Sybil Ludington 50K running race is back to celebrate 250 YEARS OF REVOLUTIONARY PEOPLE & PLACES brought to you by Putnam County and the Taconic Road Runners. This will be the 42nd running, held annually through 2019. This is a special year for the country and next year is a special for Sybil-the 250th anniversary of her ride. Sadly, race organizer for many years and co-director wtih Tony Galfano, David Farquhar passed away on December 23rd, 2025. He was looking forward to the return of the race. You can read his obituary here. You can see the course HERE. It will be a Sunday and will start at 7AM.  We are going back to the original course, which covers 31 of Sybil's 40 miles. Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Walk, Run, or Ride on Sunday, April 27th, 2025  at the AdironDUCK Trail Run!  Most people walk, so don't let the 5K or "Run" part scare you.  The Trail Run is the same day as the AdironDuck Race, a huge rubber duck race held at the Oswegatchie Educational Center. The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. This spring, the Sport Business Association at Gwynedd Mercy University is turning movement into meaning for the rare disease community. We are proud to host our inaugural, 100% student-run 5K Run & 1-Mile Walk, supporting Uplifting Athletes and the continued growth of the Sport Business Association. What began as a classroom collaboration has grown into a student-led initiative that uses sport to bring people together and create real impact. Uplifting Athletes is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit that harnesses the power of sport to support the 30 million Americans living with rare diseases through research funding, family support, and leadership development. Helping Our Families, a non-profit organization created with the mission of improving the quality of life of families, proudly presents the 2025 In-Stride 5K.   In 2024, 19 families were assisted through emergency fund services that allowed them to either stay in their homes versus being evicted or in many cases buy groceries; 40 Dayton Public School students were registered at our Grandview Learning Lab to receive afterschool tutoring; and 169 mothers and children received Christmas gifts who would otherwise have nothing.   All proceeds will go towards our mission of serving single mothers and their children, providing resources, support and hope by helping to remove barriers that prevent families from succeeding in the Greater Dayton area.   Register by April 12, and you will receive a t-shirt with your entry and save $5.     Donations also accepted and appreciated.

Island Montessori School will hold the 11th Annual Tinted Turtle Trot 5k, 1 Mile Run and Kid’s Dash on Sunday, April 26th at Mike Chappell Park in Carolina Beach Participants can register before April 5th to be guaranteed a shirt. Chicago's Favorite Neighborhood Run Returns The 29th annual Ravenswood Run presented by Fleet Feet + Altra returns to Chicago's historic neighborhood on April 27, 2025.  For over a quarter century, our family-friendly 5K and Kids' Race has given runners and walkers a chance to experience the charms this pocket of the city possesses. Beyond that, the event also is as a fundraiser for Ravenswood Community Services' Food Pantry and Community Kitchen, a staple in the community that provides meals and groceries to neighbors in need on the North Side.

The Feet Meet was started over years ago intending to be a family event to help encourage and promote physical fitness in our community.  We host a 1 mile and a 5K fun run/walk.  Both are aimed at getting our families out, exercising, and having fun!  The more our children are introduced to different kinds of physical fitness, the more likely they are to be comfortable with it.  Kids are even more likely to take note of physical fitness when they see their parents join in the fun! Traditionally, the Feet Meet has been a great success in promoting family fitness and healthy lifestyles.  Our participation has ranged from 400 to over 1,000 runners. JRs 11- 18 have a rare opportunity to race like the pros!  No equipment required in this fast-paced triathlon for new or experienced teen triathletes!  We provide the bikes - just bring your bathing suit, goggles, and run shoes! Come ready to ride a road bike sized for you and set up on computerized trainers.  Compete against other teens riding on a route on a big screen TV! Hop off the bike and into the pool for a 300 yard/meter swim! Out of the pool, head onto the run course for a 1 mile run and across the epic finish line!   Participate in one or all three in the race series to earn prizes and get cool race swag! Join us for of our annual Dash For Dogs 5K and Strutt Your Mutt Dog Walk and help out needy dogs in our community and beyond. Every day our caring staff and volunteers help dogs, and other companion animals, in so many ways- providing shelter, care, healthy food, a warm blanket, needed medical care and behavioral support and enrichment. Come walk or run the course along the beautiful Androscoggin Riverwalk path. This is one of the few events in Maine that allow you to also bring your dog (must be current on vaccinations and NO flex-lead leashes).
