This event will open the opportunity to acknowledge the reality of suicide, honor those that we've lost, honor those that have survived, encourage dialogue and conversation, and begin to shift the culture, perceptions and beliefs regarding suicide. Together, we can spread the message that suicide is preventable, and the support is out there. Let us take the pledge to accept zero! #AcceptZero Money raised from this event is used for increased training and education throughout the community on suicide through free Question, Persuade, Response (QPR) trainings to businesses, churches, schools, and individuals. This race is a fundraiser for Head and Neck Cancer. We will donate all the proceeds to the SPOHNC Foundation. My dad was a member of this foundation throughout his cancer battle. Unfortunately, Head and Neck cancer took my dad from us too early. I think this race will be a great way to honor him, and help future people fight this terrible disease!

Start Time is 8 AM Sunday April 19th at Hogan's Fountain in Cherokee Park. The Goatman Race is the first in a series of trail runs through Louisville's beautiful parks. This is a family and beginner friendly five mile run through the trails of Cherokee Park.  We'll start at Hogan's Fountain and make our way around the park.  When you think of Kentucky Cryptids, particularly in the Louisville area, what is one of the most well known....GOATMAN! The Goatman is a cryptid who is said to be half-man, half-goat. Although his origins are unknown, the most popular origin story is that he had once been a scientist who worked at Beltsville Agriculture Research Center in Maryland, who experimented on goats. Unfortunately, during one of these experiments, he was mutated into a goat/human hybrid, and went insane. The Delta Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma will be hosting its 5th Annual 5K for Kappie! This event is being held in honor of our late sorority sister, Catherine Williams, who passed away on June 2nd, 2020 after a courageous 13-month battle with osteosarcoma. Catherine Williams was 18 years old, and a recent graduate of North Atlanta High School. She was admitted to and excited to attend the University of Georgia in the fall of 2020. In the week before her death, Catherine accepted an early bid and was initiated into the Delta Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma as a double legacy. All proceeds from this event will go to CURE Childhood Cancer, a non-profit organization whose mission is dedicated to conquering childhood cancer through funding targeted research while supporting patients and their families devastated by a childhood cancer diagnosis.  We look forward to this opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary life of Catherine Williams.

5k description   This race is put on two high school seniors, at Loganville Christian Academy, for their senior project. The race will be held on April 19th, 2026 at Loganville Christian Academy’s XC course. Due to the fact that the course isn’t flat, it is not suitable for strollers and runners should expect to run up and downhill. The first 1000$ covers the cost put on the event. All proceeds after that go to Emory Win-shape, specifically for helping patients afford their cancer treatment. EWB’s 4th Annual 5K Stride for Sustainability invites community members to run in support of health and environmental awareness while raising funds for impactful projects in Malawi, Rwanda, and Woodford. Engineers Without Borders UIUC is a student-led nonprofit that builds a better world by empowering communities to meet their basic human needs while equipping students to solve the world's most pressing challenges. We realize this mission through projects such as bridges, water and wastewater systems, and electrical systems. Our chapter is currently working on projects in the United States, Rwanda, and Malawi. We work to ensure that our projects are sustainable in terms of environmental impact and that they are able to serve the needs of their communities for years to come. The 3rd Annual I Raced The Law 5k and Color Run* is raising money for the Oswego Public Safety Cadets Post #1833. Proceeds from this race will go towards paying for equipment, training, and towards lowering the cost for participation in the 2027 Public Safety Cadets Summer Showdown. Race against a Police Officer in your age/gender bracket on our course. Everyone gets a t-shirt and if you beat the officer's time you can check off the I Won box on the t-shirt. Also offered this year for the first time is a 1 Mile Color Run. Race Packet pickup will be at the Oswego Police Department located at 3355 Woolley Rd from 800am to 500pm 4/16/26 and 4/17/26. Day of packet pickup will begin at 800am the morning of the race at the race site. Day of registration begins at 800am. Race start time is 900am. Award ceremony will begin at 1100 am or 15 minutes after the last runner completes the race. THIS RACE IS USATF CERTIFIED AND IS CHIP TIMED! Any Sign Ups after 3/31/26 are not guaranteed a shirt.

The 12th Annual Illini Veterans Memorial 5K Run/Walk is taking place on Saturday, April 5th, 2025. This 5K is the seminal event conducted by the Illini Veterans, that works to both raise funds for the club to support veteran programs and services. Join the Friends of Lums Pond at Volunteer Brewing Company Sunday April 19 for a 5K through Middletown.  As Friends of Lums Pond (501c3 nonprofit), we are  a passionate group of volunteers working together to preserve and enhance Lums Pond State Park. Our annual Pond Fest, concert for a cause fundraiser is in October at Lums Pond.  The proceeds from this run will go to enhance Lums Pond. COURSE INFORMATION: Experience trail running at its finest in the heart of the Withlacoochee State Forest. The Withlacoochee Trail Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K take place on the hiking and equestrian trails within the Two Mile Prairie Tract, just outside Lecanto, FL. Runners will travel through scenic sandhills, oak forests, and wet prairies, with frequent opportunities to spot local wildlife along the course. Plogging is a combination of running or walking and picking up trash you see on your route. It is an up-and-coming fitness trend that brings variety to your workouts while helping to keep the environment clean and healthy. Boise Plogs is a fitness initiative for both the individual and the planet!  Anyone can register for this event, no matter your ability, and plogging materials will be provided.  Choose a suggested neighborhood from the list below or choose your own location in the Treasure Valley (foothills, Meridian, greenbelt, school grounds, etc..) to plog during the week of April 19-25th.   There is no time requirement but plogging for at least 30 minutes is suggested. Its that time of the year to gather together with no sweating involved:  the MPRRC Annual Banquet and Membership Meeting.    The event will be held at Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra, 410 Atkinson Drive, Honolulu Hawaii 96814. The banquet will be a catered buffet dinner and is free to members. However, there is a $20 security deposit that will be refunded to you in cash at the door.
