The Race The Stockville is a two-day foot and navigation event, inspired by the mountain marathons of Europe and the UK. Each morning, racers will receive maps of a linear, point-to-point course that will take them through the wilds of north central Pennsylvania. The GCHS Booster Club Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk will take place at Grayslake Central High School.  The race starts and ends on the GCHS track.  All proceeds will help support the high school athletic program financial needs throughout the year. The in-person Save the Manatee 5K will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at 8 a.m. ET at Blue Spring State Park in Orange City, FL. November 15 is the official kick-off day of Manatee Season in Florida, so what better way to welcome the manatees back to Blue Spring! The Fall Backyard Burn (SBYB) is a series of 5 and 10 mile trail running races held on some of the best trail networks in the Northern Virginia Area. All the courses include a mixture of forested fire roads, twisty hiking trails, stream crossings, grassy fields, and minimal pavement. Hemlock Overlook, located along the banks of the historic Bull Run, feels surprisingly remote for being so close to Washington D.C. Sightings of deer, beaver, turkey, osprey and great blue heron are not uncommon in this 425 acre park. This beautiful race course consists mostly of hiking trails (including the Bull Run Occoquan Trail), old dirt roads, and open fields. Competitors will run over rocks and roots and along bull run. The course is designed to be spectator friendly with several areas designated for family and friends to cheer on their racers. The Speedway in Lights 5K returns for its 16th year on Sunday, Nov. 15, when more than 1,000 festive participants will be the first to tour the region's largest and most dazzling holiday lights display when the endurance race begins at 6 p.m. The run/walk event will wind through the new Speedway In Lights course that has been updated for 2026 with 40 new displays. The 5K will begin near the track’s Entrance No. 2 beside the BMS South Building and make a loop running up and back down the historic quarter-mile Bristol Dragway before returning to the legendary high-banked oval where they will enter the stadium at the track’s pit gate and make a left hand turn down the track’s backstretch in a counterclockwise direction before finally crossing the finish line which will be positioned just before Turn 2.
