The Tour de Dirt Kids Kup season wraps up in unforgettable fashion at The Dam Race in Edmond, set against the wide‑open views and rolling terrain of Lake Arcadia. The Fall Backyard Burn (SBYB) is a series of 5 and 10 mile trail running races held on some of the best trail networks in the Northern Virginia Area. All the courses include a mixture of forested fire roads, twisty hiking trails, stream crossings, grassy fields, and minimal pavement. Hemlock Overlook, located along the banks of the historic Bull Run, feels surprisingly remote for being so close to Washington D.C. Sightings of deer, beaver, turkey, osprey and great blue heron are not uncommon in this 425 acre park. This beautiful race course consists mostly of hiking trails (including the Bull Run Occoquan Trail), old dirt roads, and open fields. Competitors will run over rocks and roots and along bull run. The course is designed to be spectator friendly with several areas designated for family and friends to cheer on their racers. The GCHS Booster Club Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk will take place at Grayslake Central High School.  The race starts and ends on the GCHS track.  All proceeds will help support the high school athletic program financial needs throughout the year. "All gave some...some gave all." We are free to run, thanks to the men and women who have defended this great country of ours. Join us for our all-charity event to raise funds for local veteran's causes and to honor those who have served. Our course isn't for sissies. It is beautiful, hilly, rural country, but our course is almost entirely paved. We have a free Pasta Party in Salem at packet pick up; our post-race party is legendary; we are small enough to provide personal attention to each runner, walker, sponsor, and volunteer. It's time for St. Bernadette's 17th Annual Turkey Trot! We hope our familiar faces will come out to support this community event and that some new faces will join us in virtual format from anywhere you live! As always, our commemorative 2025 Turkey Trot t-shirts will be issued to registered participants (must register by 11/7/2025 to guarantee a shirt for your family). Please note, if your child registers for the race/walk and dumpling dash, they will only receive 1 shirt. As in previous years, we have partnered with the experts at Bryn Mawr Racing and will again use RaceJoy, a live running application to ensure a successful virtual run for those who choose that option. Death by 5k is coming back to Oak Mountain State Park! The first four years have been awesome so let's do it again! RunStrong Event's signature 24 hour challenge, Death by 5k requires participants to run ten 5ks, starting each 5k spaced 2.5 hours apart. The first 5k starts at 8 am, and subsequent 5ks start at 1030, 1, 330, 6, 830, 11, 130, 4, and 630 am. Participants need to be present at the start of each 5k, and have that 5k finished prior to the start of the subsequent 5k. This challenge is designed to test participants mentally and physically with physical fatigue, sleep deprivation, and running in the dark. (Headlamps, hand lights, or some other form of illumination will be required) Death by 5k Oak Mountain will start and finish near the Dogwood Pavilion at the South Trailhead.. Race Day: November 21, 2026   Join us for the 4th Annual Dam 5 Miler!   This race starts at the Center Hill Recreation Area, which offers a scenic vantage point of the Center Hill Dam.  The run continues over Center Hill Dam towards then enters Edgar Evins State Park.  As you enter the State Park, a native pollinator corridor hugs the roads as you travel to the Visitor Center Office.  The route in both directions has challenging points due to road inclines.   Participants who wish to run or walk are both welcome at the Dam 5 Miler. Join us for a holiday tradition! The Pumpkin Pie 5K/10K is a flat and fast 5K and 10K held at City Park in Denver, Colorado. Start your holiday season off right with this family friendly run. All finishers will get a piece of delicious pumpkin pie, as well as top-notch chip timing, a race logo shirt, a finisher's medal, and a finish line expo with vendors and food.

This is not your run of the mill 'Turkey Trot.'  This is the Turkey TREK!  Are you up for the challenge?  Run a steady uphill climb to the summit of the course at the 3 mile mark.  Poised at the top of the hill is the infamous EGG NOG CHUG Challenge where racers (have the option) to chug 5 oz of eggnog.  (Those who 'chug' are entered to win a new pair of shoes!) It's windy and wild at the top and the limitless views are UNMATCHED.  Run the ridge for a mile before starting the more gradual, yet still winding, descent down the east side of the mesa.  Once down the hill, racers encounter a relatively flat straight-away peppered with HAY BALES for the hay bale hop challenge.  Continuing the clock-wise loop back into the park, runners find the final challenge - just one kilometer from the finish: Fill Your Pie Hole Challenge.  A fresh portion of holiday pumpkin pie awaits racers there.  Once the pie is 'down the hatch', the joy of the finish line isn't far aw

We hope our familiar faces will come out to support this community event and that some new faces will join us in virtual format from anywhere you live! As always, our commemorative 2025 Turkey Trot t-shirts will be issued to registered participants (must register by 11/7/2025 to guarantee a shirt for your family). Please note, if your child registers for the race/walk and dumpling dash, they will only receive 1 shirt.
