35th Annual Running  The Arkansas Traveller is steeped in tradition as one of the oldest 100 mile races in the country, maintaining its founding philosophy of providing a true ultrarunning experience melded with Southern hospitality. Our course consists of a 17-mile loop followed by an 83-mile out-and-back through the Ouachita Mountains on forest roads, jeep trails, and an eight mile section of the Ouachita Trail. 12,000 cumulative feet of climb. Join us for the 2nd Annual 5K Walk/Run for Breast Cancer Awareness, hosted by Dr. Kim Leverett — breast cancer survivor and owner of A Kick Above: A Personal Training Studio.  Kim spent 10 years as a full-time pharmacist before following her passion for fitness and wellness. She transitioned into personal training to help others move beyond managing symptoms to truly living well. In 2013, after a routine mammogram, Kim was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her treatment included six rounds of chemotherapy and 35 rounds of radiation. Remarkably, throughout her treatment, she continued to train clients and maintain her own workouts — often without anyone knowing what she was facing. Kim credits her faith in Christ, her fitness foundation, and the support of her clients for carrying her through. Jimmie Hale Mission’s Rescue Run  - 10K, 5K, and 1 Mile Fun Run Join us for the 6th Annual Jimmie Hale Mission Rescue Run 10K, 5K, & 1 Mile Fun Run! On October 3rd 2026, join us as we proceed through the charming community of Homewood, starting and finishing on 29th Avenue South between 18th St. S. & 19th St. S. Race attendees will receive a high-quality race t-shirt & swag bag filled with goodies.  After the race, we will provide post-race food items along with water and sports drink. We will be highlighting Homewood restaurant and business specials.  You can stick around for Awards or we will mail your award to you after the event.   We have a 10K Option, which will be a double loop of the 5K.  A pretty flat  5K/10 course.  The 10K will start at 7:45 am CT and will be a RUN-only option. Night Owl 5k, 10k and the 6 hour shuffle

The Night Owl Races are an excellent way to take the next step in trail running. The Six Hour Shuffle and Six Hour Team Shuffle is a good introduction to ultra running. Long enough to get past the marathon distance, but not too long. The Namesake Night Owl 5K and 10K are great introductions to night time trail running.  All three races are run on grassy ski trails over rolling hills. Their will be trail lights on for the 5K, 10K races and the final hour and a half of the 6hr shuffle, runners need to bring supplemental lighting with either a headlamp or hand held flashlight.
