Join us September 12, 2026, at 9:30 am for the 54th running of one of the oldest and most scenic races in Michigan. Early Fall is the best time of year to run or walk the perimeter of Mackinac Island, where you will enjoy sparkling water, spectacular views and historic sites!  The Island is a unique destination that can only be reached by ferry - and no motorized vehicles allowed.  Step back in time to a bygone era where travel is done by foot, bicycle, carriage or horse. We're expecting over 1800 runners and walkers this year - the Mackinac Island Eight Mile is definitely a race you will never forget!

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!  Alive and Running VA 5K has a LIVE AND VIRTUAL for 2026 We are glad to announce that we are having a LIVE and VIRTUAL race for 2026.  Participants have the option to run the LIVE event on the VA location or stay at home and run/walk your event with VIRTUAL options. Virtual Event With a virtual race you can run the 5K distance anywhere, in your neighborhood, on a treadmill, at a nearby park. You will have between Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, October 3rd to complete your 5K. Once you have the 5K completed you will enter your time in the Run Sign-up website. If you participate in the virtual event you will still receive a race t-shirt!  We will plan for drive through packet pickup on Friday September 11 between 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm and Saturday September 12 from 7:00 am-9:00 am at the entrance to the VA, as we have done in years past.  Thank you all for your understanding as we take things one day at a time.  We must take care of each other now, more than ever.

Celebrate the fall classics with a 5k for all ages. Blake's Donut Dash 5k is run on gravel trails around the family-owned 50-acre Blake's Lyon Township. We gather to honor the lives lost on September 11, recognize the courage and sacrifice of first responders, and acknowledge the families forever impacted by that day. We also stand in solidarity with the recovery community—recognizing the strength it takes to heal from addiction and trauma. Scouting America Sky Trail Adventure Challenge DescriptionThis adventure race begins with a wall climb and zipline before the timed portion starts! You'll safety-gear up to ascend the 24-foot climbing tower, zipline across Sand Creek, and cross the suspension bridge back to the Start Line. Run (or walk or jog) 3.2 miles around Camp McClintock's trails, kayak (kayaks provided!) 0.75 miles of the creek (out and back), and run 0.9 miles around our campground and by the Cub Cabin back to the Finish Line! This is the 22nd YUTC Event   Mill Creek Park is a very scenic and picturesque area maintained by the Ohio Metro Parks system. It is the second largest urban park in the USA - only Central Park is larger.   The current course is 95% single track past large mature trees, past lakes and waterfalls.  It is mixture of short steep hills followed by runnable terrain. There is approximately 1397 feet of elevation gain per 25K loop.   The 25K course is one loop around Mill Creek Park.  The 50K course is two loops around Mill Creek Park.   This is a terrific race for the newcomers to trail running and challenging for the old veteran trail dogs. YUTC will provide everyone with a truly memorable experience.  You will find yourself stopping and snapping photo after photo to share with friends and family.     The YUTC Course: The course begins at the Bresko Pavilion and travels clockwise around the park passing the Mill then traveling through the Covered Bridge to the aid station on the other side.

THIRD ANNUAL WESTLAKE COMMUNITY RUN  The City of Westlake Community Run is a special event for the whole family, being hosted by the Recreation Department and held in conjunction with the Annual Safety & Wellness Day. Come out and enjoy a run or walk through the beautiful City of Westlake and then stay for the Fair! Race begins and ends on the Recreation Center Campus. There will be a timed 5K Run and Speed Walking Division along with an untimed 1-Mile Walk beginning at 8:30 am. We are also hosting a Kids Dash, which is free for those 8 years old and under. This is our nighttime party trail run just West of Houston at Stephen F. Austin State Park! ​The trails are wide and mainly gravel/dirt with a few quick elevation changes but a great trail run for beginners to advanced.  ​All runners will need both a light and hydration device as mandatory equipment. The trail will be marked with reflectors and ribbons. We are a cupless race so you must carry your own bottle/flask. Follow park instructions for parking along the right side of the park road, starting at the group dining hall event area and filling back from there.  The group dining hall is where all the action happens; packet pickup, start/finish, spectator hang-out lawn with runners personal area, and our main aid station. A second water refill will be available at halfway at the road crossing. Extra lights and costumes are encouraged! Sunset is at 7:30 PM.

The Northside Trap Run is St. Louis' first hip-hop themed 1 mile walk, 5K walk/run & festival aimed at empowering North St. Louis neighborhoods and unifying grassroots, civic, educational, commercial and residential efforts to bridge the city's north-south divide. The family-friendly event is hosted by Young Friends of the Ville, a board committee of Northside Community Housing, Inc., which  develops and owns affordable housing.

Join us for this year's Osseo Lion's Roar 5K!  Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome.  All proceeds from the event benefit the Osseo Senior High cross country team. Check-in will open at 9:00 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2026.  The race will start at 10:00 AM.   NOTE: Registration will be open online until September 11th @11:59pm, and will be available in person the morning of the race.  T-shirts will only be guaranteed for those registering online prior to September 1st. The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who've served our nations since. We activate & unite communities and empower local veterans, active duty, first responders, and families of the fallen. TMF is proud to partner with GORUCK again with rucking divisions at every run. Rucking is a sport based on special forces training in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. The eighth annual 5K and inaugural 10k  is being presented by Leading Edge to benefit Take Heart. Take Heart will use the funds raised by this event to create opportunities for orphans and widows in Kenya to overcome poverty through education and entrepreneurship.

Welcome to our 15th Annual Finger Lakes Mud Run! When we started this race fifteen years ago - it seemed wild to think we'd still be operating a decade and a half later. Through leadership changes, through COVID, through rain, sleet, heat, and drought, we've brought the FLMR alive every year. We are so excited to still be going strong at year 15 - and you can be sure there will be some special 15 year anniversary surprises for all of our registrants.  The Finger Lakes Mud Run is an outdoor challenge course that takes place on the beautiful grounds of Everest Park, with about 40 (in 2025) obstacles both man made and natural, that is usually just over four miles long. Designed to help cultivate camaraderie and teamwork, families and friends can look forward to an exhilarating, challenging, and extremely muddy adventure! Bampa’s House has announced that they will be sponsoring the Ninth Annual 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Craig Park in Painted Post, NY. The purpose of the race is to raise money for Bampa’s House and celebrate the life of Jim Dugan, the namesake of Bampa’s House. Jim, who was called Bampa by his grandchildren, was a life-long resident of the Corning-Painted Post area, spending his career at Corning Community College, volunteering through the Lions Club, and facilitating beer tastings at The Site. Participants are encouraged to run or walk the 3.1 mile course that includes the beautiful Painted Post Trail and winds through the streets of Painted Post where Jim lived.
