We have a no drop policy, so we will not leave anyone behind.  This Social ride starts at 5:30 and should be done by 7:30p.m. Please check in by 5:45 to find your group. We will be riding in the dark, so bring your lights. Thank YOU 2025 Runners! Hope to see you in 2026...as we begin the 3rd decade of running the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains! September 11-12, 2026 (Fri. - Sat.) The Blue Ridge Relay (BRR), which is one of the longest running relay races in the United States, takes place in the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and North Carolina. BRR consists of maximum 12 person (4 person minimum) teams that rotate through 36 transition areas as they cover the approximate 208 mile distance of the race. The Start!  BRR starts in Grayson Highlands State Park, VA at an elevation of 4920′, near the base of Mount Rogers (5729′), the highest peak in Virginia. The Highlands’ defining feature are the high elevation balds that are spotted with stands of native Fraser Fir, boulder fields and a herd of wild ponies.  In addition, the Highlands feature the Appalachian Trail and the Virginia Highlands Horse Trail. OUR CAUSE Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) is a little-known and poorly understood cause of a heart attack. Most patients are young, healthy, and active women who do not have the typical risk factors of heart disease. Although less common, it can affect men too. SCAD can reoccur and can be fatal. Research is needed to identify the cause(s) and the best treatment options. SCAD is the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under age 50, pregnant women & new moms.   SCADaddle Our timed 5K run/walk takes place on the south side of Crown Point Park in San Diego on Mission Bay. The Capt. Jeff Kuss USMC Memorial hosts the annual Top Gun Night Run 6k on Friday, September 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Lee Victory Recreation Park in Smyrna. The 3.7 mile course includes the Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport and Smyrna Municipal golf course with the finish line at the memorial. Spectators and runners will enjoy live music and vendors in the park. The run will be chip-timed and USATF certified and limited to only 650 participants. On June 2, 2016, our nation was deeply impacted by the plane crash of USMC Captain Jeff Kuss during the US Navy Blue Angels performance at the Great Tennessee Air Show, in Smyrna. Following this tragedy, the Smyrna community and Blue Angels fans around the country mourned and showed an outpouring of support for the Kuss Family. Town of Smyrna officials called upon the community to help establish a living memorial in tribute to the life, honorable service, and high ideals exhibited by Captain Kuss. HOW REGISTRATION WORKS The event is comprised of 24, 1-hour games in a row and is open to men's and women's teams of all ages and abilities. Every team that registers plays in at least one, 1-hour game and will be matched with an opposing team of similar age and abilities If you register as a dual-slot, your team will have the entire hour with no opposing team schedule, and choose how you wish to play for that hour.

About the Event:   Stair Climb:  There were 1,980 steps in the Towers that fell on 9/11. That's 17 times up & down 120 stairs  in the Lake Co. Fairgrounds Grandstand.  You will be given 17 pennies, dropping off 1 after each lap completed.  When your pennies are gone, you are finished!  Are you up for the challenge? 1 Mile Non-timed Walk is for those who don't wish to do stairs but still want to participate to honor our 9/11 Heroes.   Participants receive: *  Finisher Medal for FIRST 200 to sign up*  Wristband with the name of a 9/11 Hero, a firefighter or police officer who died on 9/11 & for whom you will be climbing or walking.  We encourage you to look up  your hero & even bring their picture with you. The Scheels BurliMOT Half Marathon is a unique running event that showcases the beautiful communities of Burlington and Minot, ND by way of a scenic 13.1 mile course that follows the Souris Valley along dedicated running/biking paths. What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk?The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001, after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!
