This much-loved community event began in 1983 and, since then, has grown to become the largest women's-only race in Virginia while raising over 4.2 million dollars for the UVA Breast Care Center. The Powhatan Village Run was established in 1981 by Phil Blankenship and Hal Hedley as a community road race for all ages and skill levels. Over the years the race has benefited many causes and donated thousands of dollars to charity. America's only 15 mile race is a scenic but challenging course, starting at our majestic State Capitol, taking you through downtown, rolling through our beautiful hillside neighborhoods, and along Charleston's riverfront.

The Ravine Trail Run takes place on cross-country ski trails with several hills, making it moderately challenging. The trail is a 3.2-mile loop, wide enough for passing and walking, featuring hills, valleys, shaded tree areas, and sunny prairie sections. The terrain includes grass, mud, packed dirt, and rocky sections in washout areas. The 5k race consists of one loop, while the 10k race includes two loops. Course and Location: The race starts at the Ravine Landing building next to the parking lot at the end of Ravine Road, following the Green and Red trail loops. These will be marked with ACR arrows, but be aware of many offshoots and the fact that trails are open to the public. We do our best with signage. The 46th Annual Sickle Cell Road Race is scheduled for September 5, 2026, in East Point, Georgia. This longstanding event, which is a Peachtree Road Race qualifying event and is USATF certified, serves as a crucial fundraiser and community gathering to support individuals affected by sickle cell disease. Participants can look forward to the 5K race/walk starting at 9:00 a.m. in front of East Point City Hall. Proceeds from the event benefit Camp New Light, a weeklong camp for children and teens living with sickle cell disease.    The price for ages 18 and older is $45, 7-17 is $35, and 6 & under is free.    PARKING: ·       Riding MARTA is one of the most convenient ways to travel to the race. The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who've served our nations since. We activate & unite communities and empower local veterans, active duty, first responders, and families of the fallen. TMF is proud to partner with GORUCK again with rucking divisions at every run. Set in beautiful Northeast Michigan, the Aliferis Memorial Race is open to runners, walkers and bikers of all ages and ability levels. It is named in memory of long-time Alpena Pathologist Dr. Peter Aliferis. Dr. Aliferis earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan and joined the hospital in 1963, serving for many years as the pathologies and laboratory director. He touched the lives of many in our community during his 37-year tenure. This race is a celebration of his steadfast dedication to health and wellness. All proceeds will benefit the Peter Aliferis Scholarship Fund, the Cancer Center and patient enhancement projects and new technology at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena. The Old Rochester Regional High School cross country and track & field teams are hosting a 5k race through beautiful downtown Marion, MA.  All proceeds from the race will benefit the cross country and track teams at Old Rochester to purchase new equipment to ensure continued success with our programs.  The race will start and end at Sippican School, and will run along the water through downtown Marion Village, and then loop back around to finish at the school.  T-shirts will be given to the first 200 athletes registered! The Marshall Run is held in memory of Tpr. Kevin M. In 2026, we are excited to host two different half marathons, one full marathon, and NEW THIS YEAR a 10K course! The full marathon and TSV half marathon distance will take you to Kachina Peak at 12,481ft then you will continue on to the Northside half marathon course where you will climb Fraser Peak at 12,168ft!
