Rogue River Triathlon

The Rogue River Triathlon includes a Sprint Distance and a Mini Distance. Both distances begin with a down-river swim in the Rogue River. Next is the run, 3 miles for the Sprint Distance and 1.5 miles for the Mini. The run takes place on a paved Forest Service Road overlooking the beautiful Rogue River. The event ends with the bike ride, 12 miles for the Sprint and 6 miles for the Mini. The bike ride is also on a paved Forest Service Road and boasts views of the Rogue River. There is also an option for a 2-3 person relay.

Moorehead Park Trail Mazathon

This 26.2 mile marathon trail run will take place on the single track dirt trails along with some sections of mowed meadow trails in the rolling hills of Moorehead Park.  Participants can expect challenging hills and beautiful scenery while running well-marked and maintained trails. You will be running on some old stage coach trails that will take you past the first homestead which served as the stage coach stop, church, and doctor/hospital. Pay your respects as you visit the cemetery of our first settlers, check out some old farm equipment, visit an old train depot, and run past a one room school house.  This race will consist of three 8.8 mile loops with the option of signing up for the 1/3 mazathon which consists of one loop for 8.8 miles, the 2/3 mazathon which consists of two loops for 17.6 miles, or the full mazathon which consists of 3 loops for 26.2 miles.  Finisher medals will be awarded to all distances for Mazathon finishers. We have designed a safe course with plenty of adult supervision that will be fun for the kids to challenge.  The 200-yard swim will be in the river in a shallow area near shore with plenty of adult swimmer support. The 4.5-mile bike leg is all on a bike path, except for a short portion in the boat ramp parking lot which will be heavily barricaded and controlled. Helmets are required during the bike ride. Joe had been diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) which is a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord and in July of 2025, after a long fight with ALS, Joe went home to be with his Lord and Savior. Loon Ride at Mercer Bike Fest

August 1st, 2026 - Join us for the second annual Loon Ride at the Mercer Bike Fest. ICORE (Iron County Outdoor Recreation Enthusiasts) announces the inaugural Mercer Bike Fest and Loon Ride. The event supports our fund raising efforts to expand the current Mercer bike trail from Carow Park along Hwy J to WinMan Trails ultimately completing a 26 mile loop of Mercer and Manitowish Waters as part of the Heart of Vilas County trail system. In previous years this ride was known as Lupine Junefest. The volunteers who created and supported that ride did a wonderful job of building the foundation for the trail expansion project. We are proud to take up the cause. Please note: moving forward if you choose to ride and E-bike only class 1, those without throttles, are allowed for safety reasons. JACKPINE SAVAGE MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE brought to you by Spooner Health

The Jackpine Savage Mountain Bike Race is on City Park trails in Spooner, WI.  The race start will happen near the trailhead entrance behind Spooner High School with parking available in the west parking lot at the high school.  The race will consist of singletrack mountain bike trail, cross country ski trail, and utilize a short amount of pavement as well.  All levels of mountain bike racers are welcome.  However, off-road riding experience is necessary to safely compete in this race.  Most of the singletrack is at a beginner level but there are some intermediate sections as well.  A mass start will be utilized with 3 lap racers going first, followed by 2 lap racers and then 1 lap racers.  The kid's short track race will start at 11:30 with awards to follow. Two Face 10K

Two Face 10K gives you the option to race road, trail, or road + trail!  Held annually in August in beautiful North Park from Olympia Shelter, this event is a dual race that combines a 10K Road race, followed by a 10K Trail race. Race day is typically one of the most humid days of the year in western PA. Houtzdale Days Annual 5K* Run/Walk and Fireman's Challenge

The Houtzdale Days 5K Walk/Run and Fireman’s Challenge is an annual event during our Houtzdale Days celebration.  Participants are awarded medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for Male and Female in each category.   Registration is $25 for walk/run, $20 for Fireman's Challenge. All proceeds go directly to Houtzdale Fire Company.  REFERRAL OPTIONS TO SAVE MONEY! Summer Sundown Rundown at Kempton

Sundown Rundown isn’t just a race. It’s a battle against the clock. Trail Circuit Run: 1.6-ish miles to +35.7 miles. We run until it's done! One start. One course. A lot of shared effort.
