RVA Mile (aka Regency Mile) & 5k

Glen Allen, VA
The RVA Mile (aka Regency Mile), along with the 5 & Under 400m Express Run, has held the record for the largest timed youth road race in Richmond for 15 years! With both in-person and virtual race options, an adult race, condensed start times, and a fall festival, this event provides a family-friendly day of racing. The course is entirely closed to traffic and encircles Regency Square Mall. This year, we have a kid’s mile, parent’s mile, and a 400m race for ages 5 & under. After the race, make sure to stick around and enjoy our Fall Festival complete with candy, games, activities from our sponsors, and more! The races are organized into a series of heats (or waves) based on age and gender to keep each race competitive and fun for everyone. When you register, you’ll automatically be assigned to the correct heat for your age group. Each heat has a specific start time, and it’s important to run in the heat you’re assigned to as we cannot guarantee an accurate time or award if you do not run in your assigned heat / wave. There’s also an Elite Wave that kicks off the event, using an “equalizer” format—women start first, followed shortly by men—and the first person across the finish line wins the top prize. You can view the full heat schedule and start times here. Be sure to register on or before 10/16 to be guaranteed a race t-shirt! As part of the RVA Mile, cash awards are given to area schools to help with their Physical Education programs, and each year, the competition is fierce! Learn more here!

Lake Michigan Half Marathon

Milwaukee, WI
Race Week Info Race Day Instructions | Spectator Guide Packet Pickup is race day only. Parking is available at Cupertino Park. Please do NOT park in the boat launch area. Additional parking is available on surface streets. The Lake Michigan Half Marathon is a scenic fall race built around one of Wisconsin’s most beautiful running backdrops: the Lake Michigan shoreline. The event starts and finishes at Cupertino Park and follows the paved Oak Leaf Trail south along the Lake Michigan shoreline. From Cupertino Park, participants will head south through Milwaukee County’s lakefront trail system, passing through or alongside South Shore Park, Bay View Park, Sheridan Park, Warnimont Park, and the Grant Park area before turning around and returning north to the finish. The event is designed for runners, walkers, and ruckers who want more than another ordinary road race. With crisp fall air, lake views, changing leaves, and miles of paved trail through Milwaukee County’s south shore park system, the Lake Michigan Half Marathon delivers a memorable race experience from start to finish. Participants will travel through a series of lakefront parks, enjoy wide-open water views, wooded trail sections, and the natural beauty that makes Milwaukee’s shoreline such a special place to run. Whether you are chasing a goal time, completing your first half marathon, rucking the distance, walking with friends, or coming back for the return of a classic event, this race is built to be scenic, organized, and worth every mile. The route is simple, runner-friendly, and built around the best parts of Milwaukee’s south shore: parks, trail, fall color, and Lake Michigan doing most of the heavy lifting. Final course details are subject to municipal and park approvals, because apparently we still need permission before sending hundreds of runners down the shoreline in matching bibs. That's one mile for every year, equaling about 112,000 steps. And every one of them is for our neighbors experiencing homelessness right here in Phoenix. Sponsor, donate, and join her virtually. How it works Sign up for free now. From October 18 to 25, log your own miles anywhere: a neighborhood loop, a treadmill, a stroller walk, a kid's first mile. Walk it, run it, roll it. Snap a photo, log your miles, and help us hit our team goal of 560 miles, ten for every year. Donations are welcome and greatly appreciated -- and never required to play. Win something Every finisher is entered in our prize drawing. Beyond that, you earn it: Most Miles, Top Fundraiser, Best Photo, and our Kids' champion. The Leadership Cup Leaders go first. Build a team of four or more from your company, log your miles from October 18-25th, and the team with the most combined miles takes home the Leadership Cup awarded in person by NFL legend and Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Famer Nick Lowery. It's a real trophy, yours to display for a year and then defend. Ask HR about donation matching while you're at it, because it can double every dollar your team raises. Sponsor a mile Every one of her 56 miles is up for grabs, for individuals, families, companies, and organizations. Standard miles are $56, a dollar a year. Milestone miles are $10 a year, because the later ones hurt more: Mile 1, Mile 13, Mile 26, Mile 38 (her worst mile, every single time), Mile 50, and Mile 56 -- the Birthday Mile. Tell us which mile is yours when you donate, and she'll run it with your name on it (pictures too, or it never happened). We run on Donations. Here's the thing: Running with us is free. No registration fee, no entry cost, no barrier for anyone who wants to lace up and join. That means every meal, every pair of shoes, and every warm shirt this challenge delivers comes from donations. Yours included. Your gift is tax-deductible, and you'll receive a receipt from the Nick Lowery Foundation. That means every meal, every pair of shoes, and every warm shirt this challenge delivers comes from donations. Yours included. Got shoes? Bring them. We're also collecting shoes in all sizes and long-sleeve pullover shirts for men, women, and kids. Socks are always welcome too. Drop-off location: TG The Gym -- 3901 E Thunderbird Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85032. Got a lot? Drop off too far? Contact us for a pickup. Why Champions for the Homeless Champions for the Homeless, a program of the Nick Lowery Foundation, works with St. Vincent de Paul in Phoenix hosts events that can each serve up to a thousand people in need, with hot meals, clothing, gift cards, haircuts, and chiropractic care, all while a live band plays to those experiencing homelessness, with love, understanding, and respect. Most importantly it does so face to face, as equal neighbors, because the giver and receiver are the same. Age is just mileage. Sign up. Sponsor. Donate. And Let's GO.

St Cecilia's LIFE Runners' THOMAS A HALTIGAN MEMORIAL PRO-LIFE 5K

Morris Plains, NJ
A faith-filled, family friendly gathering at Central Park of Morris Plains, NJ 07950, celebrating the gift of life and the protection of the unborn from the moment of conception until natural death. This fundraiser for the Saint John Paul II Respect Life Ministry based at St Cecilia's Catholic Parish, Rockaway, NJ, is hosted by St. Cecilia's LIFE Runners, an affiliate of the Ministry, and a chapter of the nationwide LIFE Runners organization. LIFE Runners is the world’s largest Pro-Life team. That's more than 25,000 LIFE Runners across 53 nations who run, jog, walk, and pray for an end to abortion through global relays and running events. Our Pro-Life 5K has become a wonderful gathering of generations, drawing young people and young adults from parishes and churches near and far—and participants from communities across the region. Alongside them are families, seasoned runners and walkers, older adults and supporters—all coming together in a spirited celebration of life. BISHOP KEVIN J SWEENEY Joining us again this year to lead the Opening Prayers and offer Remarks will be the Most Reverend Kevin J. Sweeney, D.D., Bishop, Diocese of Paterson, NJ. A steadfast and courageous advocate of the pro-life cause, Bishop Sweeney has made the defense and dignity of the most vulnerable among us a central part of his ministry and pastoral leadership. Since its inception in 2013, our group has organized this Pro-Life 5K in Morristown annually, with the exception of the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown and 2024. Until now, the 5K has been a non-timed, carefully supervised event through the streets of Morristown. With the dedicated support of St. Cecilia’s Parish in Rockaway—and the generosity of Assumption Parish in Morristown, which has provided its facilities since the very beginning—this race, jog and walk like no other takes an exciting next step this year as a professionally timed, cross-country event that’s competitive, fun-filled and welcoming to participants of all athletic and non-athletic abilities! HONORING A PRO-LIFE CHAMP Two years ago, the event was renamed in honor of the late THOMAS A HALTIGAN, one of the original chapter members, and a dedicated servant of St. Cecilia’s LIFE Runners. Funds raised are for the charitable and tireless work of the Saint John Paul II Respect Life Ministry at St Cecilia’s Parish, Rockaway, NJ. This Ministry has generously contributed material, practical, financial and spiritual support to single mothers coping with crisis pregnancies, and to non-profit shelters assisting single mothers. The support has specifically included shelter care, food, clothing, cash and assistance towards the general needs of moms and young babies. RACE DAY Registration Price $40 (Register before Race Day: $35) $35 (Register before Race Day: $32. Ages 0 - 18)
