Let's start the 4th of July celebration early with a fun, 5k on a USATF certified course in Oak Ridge Park, Clark.  Professionally timed by COMPUSCORE, Red, White & Blue bandana for all registrants. Our course will have one water stop, post-race refreshments and RED, WHITE & BLUE medals to all finishers. Awards to Top 3 Overall (Male/Female) and Top 3 Masters (Male/Female). The Macklind Mile Story: The Macklind Mile is more than just getting outside…you can run fast or stroll slow…you can race to compete or move to complete. There will be music, food and activities following the short one mile course which makes it perfect for hanging out in the streets of South City St Louis with other kids and kids-at-heart. If this is your first time at the Macklind Mile, know this: it’s a one mile distance that everyone can do regardless of running or walking, and the post-race party is just as important as the distance covered! You can come to run the downhill, one mile course to try and set a personal record, or you can walk it with your family pet – but either way you’re partying at the finish line! In 2026, the Macklind Mile will play host to the RRCA 1 Mile National Championships! 9th Annual Race to Save the Harvest! Minto-Brown Island Park It's hard to believe this family-friendly race has been going and growing for 9 years! Run the Plank, is a 5K race along the east side of Romeo Plank Road. Starting at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Romeo Plank, participants will have the option to run or walk the roughly three miles north to St. Peter Lutheran Church on 24 Mile.  We can accommodate runners, joggers, walkers and strollers; however, pets are not permitted.    RETURNING IN 2026 - 1 MILE FUN RUN The 1 Mile Fun Run will be held on the grounds of St Peter Lutheran Church during the Family Fun Fair after the 5K. The Light the Way 5K is a community run hosted by Youth & Family Services in celebration of our 50th Anniversary. The Harford County NAACP 4th Annual Freedom 5K Run/Walk will take place on the Ma & Pa Trail at Edgely Grove Park. This will be the 10th Annual Good Hope Running & Walking Well 5K. In the past we have done this race in Beverly, Lynnfield and Peabody. Proceeds from past races have been used to dig wells in Kenya, Tanzania, Gahanna, Morocco, Zimbabwe, and Uganda. Proceeds from this race will be used to dig a well in Zimbabwe to provide clean drinkable water to thousands of people.  The race will begin and end on Nahant Road in Nahant and take you on a scenic 5K walk or run through the town.
