Hi, my name is Nathan Chamot, I’m 18 years old, and I’m the organizer of the second annual Run for Tourette 5K, a charity run and walk that raises money for the Tourette Association of America! I founded the Run for Tourette 5K because I have Tourette Syndrome, and I don’t want others to face the same barriers I did growing up with the disorder. In 2025, the 5K set a new national fundraising record for events raising money for Tourette Syndrome—the event raised over $33,000, and I hope to surpass that this year! RushRun5k: Our favorite yearly FUNdraiser which raises funds for RushChurch Student Ministries will include a BEST COSTUME contest and a PUMPKIN COLLECTING contest! Awards will be given for top 2 costumes as well as first and second place for pumpkin hoarding along the way! For the past several years the Lion club members of OH6 have put on our STEPS 1K walk/ 5K Run for Pediatric Cancer Research. All the money raised goes to support pediatric cancer research at our Dayton/Cincinnati Children's Hospitals. This is a Fun Event for all ages with Costume judging, 5K Awards and 1K walking Certificates. With the help of this Event, we have donated over $1000,000 to our two area Children's Hospitals. Come join us to help in this cause. Every Year around 91,250 children lose their lives to cancer. 1/285 children in the United States will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 20. It is the number 1 killer from disease in children 15 & younger. Despite these facts, childhood cancer research is vastly and consistently underfunded.

Water Stop Information: There will be five opportunities for water stops on the half marathon course. The first location is about 3.5 miles into the race on Columbus Ave. The second will be on Main Avenue about 5.5 miles into the race and the third location is near the Smolen-Gulf Covered Bridge. The final two locations will be the same locations on your way back toward the finish. There will be no water stops on the course for the 5K. If you're concerned or uneasy about water stops or the number of water stops available, runners are encouraged to carry your own to supplement or provide for your respective needs.

This is the 14th Anniversary of the Vito Nocero's 5K for Heroes run. This year the course will be at the Pinnacle Golf Course in Grove City for those who choose to participate in the IN-PERSON Race. PLUS we are offering a VIRTUAL option for those of you that are out of town which means you can participate when you choose. You will be mailed your race shirt.
