The Lake Lucerne Advancement Association Community Support Committee’s Third Annual 5K-ish Run/Walk will be on Saturday, July 26, 2025.  This year's charity, Crandon Area Rescue, is a non-profit squad that serves approximately 435 square miles, including Argonne, Crandon, Hiles, Lincoln, Nashville townships, and the City of Crandon. With four ambulances and around 20 active responders, they provide essential emergency care when needed. There is no registration fee, however a suggested donation amount of $35 requested per racer.  If you would prefer to donate a different amount, you are welcome to do so. ~~~~~ Over the past three years, this event has raised over $10,500 in direct donations from the race! August 1st, 2026 - Join us for the second annual Loon Ride at the Mercer Bike Fest. ICORE (Iron County Outdoor Recreation Enthusiasts) announces the inaugural Mercer Bike Fest and Loon Ride. The event supports our fund raising efforts to expand the current Mercer bike trail from Carow Park along Hwy J to WinMan Trails ultimately completing a 26 mile loop of Mercer and Manitowish Waters as part of the Heart of Vilas County trail system. In previous years this ride was known as Lupine Junefest. The volunteers who created and supported that ride did a wonderful job of building the foundation for the trail expansion project. Registration is now open for Friends of Hoyt Park & Pool’s tenth annual TOSA Youth Tri. Held on Saturday, Aug. 7th, up to 250 competitors ages 9 to 17 will show their athletic abilities in a safe and fun setting. Participants choose from two categories: FUN, which includes a 100-yard swim, 2-mile bike ride and a .6-mile run, or CHALLENGE, which is a 200-yard swim, a 4-mile bike ride and a 1.2-mile run. The course includes stages from TOSA Pool to the Menomonee River Parkway to the Oak Leaf Trail and through Hoyt Park.

The Brule River Lions Club 5-Miler starts at the Afterhours Ski Trail in Brule, WI off Highway 2.  The run begins on the Afterhours Road; a hard packed gravel road for about 2 miles, then continues through ski trails in the beautiful Brule Forest.  The 2-Miler is a walk/run that is an out and back on the Afterhours road;  perfect for youth, families, and well-behaved leashed dogs.

The Paavo Nurmi Marathon is a point-to-point marathon run in Northern Iron County, Wisconsin - always the 2nd Saturday in August. The Paavo runs on a verified course, and this year the Hurley Area Chamber of Commerce is handling ALL the details for the race INCLUDING assuring all runners that the course is a Boston Marathon Qualified Course!!!   The Paavo Nurmi Marathon is the longest running marathon in Wisconsin, with 2026 being our 56th year.  Locals and visitors alike will find a weekend of history and heart, once again be run on the course that made us famous, "finishing" in downtown Hurley, Wisconsin. The 18th Annual Midwest Financial Group Madison Mini Marathon is an exciting and scenic running event that showcases the best of Madison. Runners will pass by iconic landmarks such as Capitol Square, the renowned Dane County Farmer’s Market, State Street, Camp Randall Stadium, and the Kohl Center. The route also takes participants through the picturesque Arboretum, Picnic Point, and the University of Wisconsin Campus, offering a true taste of Madison’s charm. After crossing the finish line, runners are invited to the 14th Mile Post-Race Party, where they can unwind and celebrate their achievement. Participants aged 21 and over can enjoy a complimentary beer, courtesy of Wisconsin Distributors. Those who prefer non-alcoholic options can enjoy a soft drink or bottled water. The post-race party features live music and stunning views of Lake Mendota, making it the perfect way to cap off the race.

Twenty four hours of fun! Run it as a team or run it solo. Run as much as you want or run as little as you want. Run it competitively or run it socially. Regardless, we will be there to cheer you on. Ok, at some point you might want to take a nap, but that is up to you. We even have camping, bonfires, s'mores, & family activities! Registering for a team The team captain will select a team name and pay for the entire team. During registration, the team captain will be required to create a password. The team captain should then invite their team members to join the team and use the password to register. Your team members will not be charged. The team captain will also be asked to select a male team, female team or coed team. We recommend you select coed and we will adjust it the week of the race.

The Kettle Klomp is back for its 14th year! The race and walk takes place at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School (KML) on the cross country course. The new flatter two-loop 5k course winds around our athletic fields and along KML’s beautiful outdoor environmental classroom. This will be the same course used for high school cross country meets. A map of the courses can be found at kmlhs.org/klomp. The 2 mile walk will be on our new 3200 m grade school course which uses one loop of the high school course. The walking course will be clearly marked and we will have a dedicated ambassador to lead the walkers so there is no confusion on the course. Area runners and walkers of all ages, KML parents, and students, as well as area high school and grade school cross country runners are invited to participate. We also encourage all KML alumni, past Klomp runners, and KML CC alumni to join us for the festivities! Proceeds go towards supporting the KML Cross Country team. The Big Bull Falls Grand Fondo is not a race, but rather a chance for riders to challengethemselves while enjoying the ride at their own pace. The 11th Annual Pretzel Run! The 11th Annual Pretzel Run includes a timed 5K, a 1.5 mile Fun Walk, and a Pretzel Dash (4K-2nd graders). It will take place on Friday, September 11th at 5 pm at Lake Park Summer Stage in Milwaukee, WI. The Pretzel Run is hosted by St. Robert School. The 3nd Annual Kewaskum TRiE-athlon will take place on the morning of September 12, 2027. This 'sprint' triathlon takes place in Kewaskum's River Hill Park thanks to the partnership of Kewaskum Friends of Parks and TRiE Fitness. Race participants will complete a 5K run/walk through Hon-E-Kor Golf & Country Club, a 2-mile kayak paddle on the Milwaukee River, and a 12 mile bike ride through the hills of the Kettle Moraine. For those not interested in biking the full 12 mile route, an earlier turn-around spot will be offered, making the total route an 8-mile bike ride. This event is not timed. Sign up is open to individuals wishing to complete all 3 portions of the triathlon OR open to relay teams of 2-3 individuals wishing to split the events. The event is open to those 12+ years of age. The trails, roads, and waterways that complete this course are all within scenic Kewaskum and the beautiful surrounding Kettle Moraine. We welcome creativity and encourage joy along the trail. This is why we run....to help fund the Green Bay MobilePack for Feed My Starving Children. Feed My Starving Children is a Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The majority of your race registration goes to the food program for our local volunteers to pack the life saving food we call MannaPack Rice. This life saving formula is purchased and hand packed with LOVE by local volunteers and then shipped to mission partners in over 70 countries to feed God’s starving children. At just 29 cents a meal, a race entry fee of $30 is equivalent to 103 manna-pack rice meals! The Green Bay MobilePack will take place at Green Bay Community Church during the first week of October for the 15th year! Last year we packed an amazing 676,512 meals in just 4 days with 3,307 volunteers! This year we hope to pay for and pack 650,000 meals at a cost of $188,500! Ten local churches sponsor and plan this event each year in partnership with Feed My Starving Children. Our course is set in beautiful Howard, Wisconsin. The course leaves from the Green Bay Community Church parking lot and takes you through neighborhoods and scenic areas in Howard before returning to the church. The annual Raider Nation Triathlon - Aquabike - 5K run - 2 mile run/walk event is set for Sunday, September 21, 2025.  You can do it solo or as a team!  New this year...Aquabike (swim/bike) event! For solo participants there is a full and short sprint triathlon & Aquabike race option open to those ages 9 and up.  Relay options for the full and short sprint races as well. Don't forget the Kid's Triathlon for those ages 6-13 & a 100 yard Raider Dash for those 7 and under!! The swim portion will take place in the Kiel HS swimming pool and is organized based on swim times provided during registration. Full distance solo & relay racers will start the event followed by the short distance races. The event will wrap up with the Kid's Triathlon & Raider Dash! Whether you're a seasoned captain or a landlubber just looking for some fun, gather your crew and set sail for a race filled with pirate spirit, treasure, and plenty of "Arrr's!" Choose your quest—5K, 10K, or Half Marathon—and chart your course to the finish line. Every buccaneer who successfully walks the plank and crosses the finish line will earn a custom finisher medal worthy of any pirate's treasure chest. We're headed to Richard E. Maslowski Glendale Community Park in Milwaukee (Glenadale) for an 8:30 am start, and hitting the trail to celebrate the pirate in you. Come out dressed in your favorite pirate garb (and some running shoes), and we'll hit the trail instead of walking the plank. Awards will be presented in all three distances to the top three male and female finishers in our traditional five-year age groups, giving pirates of all ages a chance to claim their share of the booty. Jack's Jog is inspired by a sweet baby boy named Jack and his mom's desire to keep his memory alive.  On January 27th, 2020, a routine 20 week ultrasound turned the world upside down for Jack's parents, Brad and Jamie.  Expectations that their third baby was perfect and healthy turned into devastation and fear.  Their baby was not perfect and healthy.  There were several significant findings on the ultrasound indicating that their baby had a life-threatening condition and would need further evaluation.   Four days later, Brad and Jamie spent an entire day at a higher level of care where they met with several specialists, had more in-depth ultrasounds and lab work that would diagnose their baby's condition.  Results of the tests would take several days but Brad and Jamie were warned that whatever the result was, it was fatal.  Their baby would not survive.   Three days later, Brad and Jamie received a phone call with their baby's diagnosis-triploidy.  He had an entir

Your course winds through forested hillsides, twisting single-track, and steady climbs inspired by the rolling terrain of Wisconsin’s Kettle Moraine region. Expect a scenic mix of woods, elevation, and flowing trail that keeps the miles interesting from start to finish. Whether you’re here to walk 7 miles or push all the way to 28, the challenge is yours to define. 10 hours. One 7-mile loop. Four distances. How far will you go? Complete your goal within the 10-hour event window. Want another layer of challenge? Take it on with a 10, 20, or 35 lb. ruck or weighted vest. The course will be clearly marked from start to finish, with well-stocked aid stations positioned along the route to keep you fueled and moving. Welcome to the Fox Hourglass Ultra, a relentless test of mental grit, pacing, and pure endurance. There is no finish line in sight, no set distance, and no guaranteed end. There is only the top of the hour, the sounding of the whistle, and the next loop. We will follow the standard backyard ultra format with the exception of the time limit. Fox Hourglass Ultra is a max of 24 hours. The event continues until only ONE runner remains, max of 24 hours. If there are multiple participants for the final 24th hour, the winner will be determined based on who completes the final lap first. Fox Hourglass Ultra is a standard backyard ultra format with the exception of the time limit (24 hours). It is a 24-hour event where participants run a 4.167 mile marked loop on the hour every hour. Each loop begins exactly one hour after the last. If the participant is not in the starting corral for the initial start, the participant is disqualified and receives a “Did Not Finish” (DNF). Each participant must complete the loop and be back at the starting corral within the hour in order to continue. If a participant fails to start or finish a loop within the allotted hour, the participant is out of the race and receives a DNF. Note, the event can end prior to the 24th hour.
