The Buck Rut Run returns to Minocqua Winter Park for its 31st edition! Will this be the last? The Buck Rut Run celebrated it's 30th edition last year. For the past 5 years we have hovered around 35 participants, with a goal of 50 each year. In 2025 we hit 43, still short of our goal. This event raises money for Minocqua Winter Park and the Lakeland Union High School Cross Country Team. No fee is charged by the timer and all proceeds are divided between these two organizations. The decision has been made by the race organizers that from this point forward, a race that doesn't have at least 50 entries will be the last Buck Rut Run. 2026 IS HAPPENING, 2027 is up to you and your friends! This is a 5K trail run which utilizes the trail system at Minocqua Winter Park. Here is the COURSE MAP. Online Registration is open from midnight, September 1 to 11:59 PM on October 24. The Lake Michigan Half Marathon is a scenic fall race built around one of Wisconsin’s most beautiful running backdrops: the Lake Michigan shoreline. The event starts and finishes at Cupertino Park and follows the paved Oak Leaf Trail south along the Lake Michigan shoreline. From Cupertino Park, participants will head south through Milwaukee County’s lakefront trail system, passing through or alongside South Shore Park, Bay View Park, Sheridan Park, Warnimont Park, and the Grant Park area before turning around and returning north to the finish. The event is designed for runners, walkers, and ruckers who want more than another ordinary road race. With crisp fall air, lake views, changing leaves, and miles of paved trail through Milwaukee County’s south shore park system, the Lake Michigan Half Marathon delivers a memorable race experience from start to finish. Participants will travel through a series of lakefront parks, enjoy wide-open water views, wooded trail sections, and the natural beauty that makes Milwaukee’s shoreline such a special place to run. Location: UW-Whitewater, Williams Center Pool Session: Oct 27th - October 22nd CLASSES AVAILABLE TWICE A WEEK (10 classes total) Days: Swimmers will participate BOTH Tuesday AND Thursday Tot Class Time: 6:30pm only Class is 30 min long Clinger Class Times: 5:30pm, 6pm, 6:30pm Classes are 30 minutes long Self-Supporter Time: 5:30pm only Class is 45 min long Cost = $64 /swimmer ($60 + $4 on-line payment convenience fee) Single Day/Week Classes = $29 ($30 + 4 on-line convenience fee) This option is only available for the Clinger classes. Join the Oconomowoc Public Education Foundation (OPEF) for a 1-mile or 2-mile run to support our schools!  This fall, OPEF is striving to raise at least $25,000 to fund new gymnastics equipment for the elementary schools, sound system improvements at the middle school, and more! OPEF is a collaborative partner of the Oconomowoc Area School District (OASD).  OPEF raises and   provides funds for innovative educational opportunities and experiences not funded in the core school district budget – including classroom grants, facilities improvements, and innovative curriculum.  OPEF has given more than $500,000 to the OASD in the past 18 years.  Help OPEF continue the legacy of gifts from the community…to the schools…for our future! CHARITY: Elkhorn Scholarship Foundation, Scholarships in the name of Randi Wulf On Monday, October 2, 2023, the Elkhorn Area School District Community lost an incredible man in a tragic accident. Randi Wulf was an incredible person - a devoted husband, father, son, brother, teacher, coach, and friend. He was a truly outstanding individual who lived his life with humility, honesty, kindness and sincerity. Randi exemplified the very best qualities we hope to see in a person, and his impact on those around him will never be forgotten. Mr. Wulf dedicated 29 years to teaching and coaching in Elkhorn. He cared deeply about his students and athletes and took great pride in coaching Cross Country and Track & Field. For Randi, running and athletics were about much more than competition. They were opportunities to build character, create connections, encourage others and help young people discover what they were capable of achieving. This annual race is held in honor of Randi and his love of running and athletics. Race Description  Join us on October 31th, 2026, for a scenic run through the Southern Kettle Moraine Forest on the historic Ice Age Trail. Participants can choose between 100k and 50k distances. Each finisher will have the opportunity to brand their wooden medal on-site, with the option to have their finishing time burned on the back. Enjoy the stunning fall colors and be part of this memorable event. 100k Elevation - 6,493 50k Elevation - 2,221 Race Course The 100k and 50 races will both start at DJ Mackie Campground, situated on the Scuppernong trails. Participants will navigate the green loop of the Scuppernong trail and proceed to join the Ice Age Trail westward to Emma Carlin. The 50k runners will turn around at Emma Carlin, while the 100k runners will continue on to Whitewater. Lets celebrate an awesome 2026 running season with your favorite season ending event. Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun!! The Lakefront Discovery Run features fun, with a 15k, a 5k, and a FREE Kids run!. Each distance can be run, walked, skipped, or hopped. Get ready to lace up your running shoes- and your costumes!- for a hauntingly good time at the Green Lake Area Animal Shelters second annual 5K, a community event dedicated to making a measurable difference in the lives of all the animals in need at the shelter! This Day of the Dead themed run/walk invites participants of all ages and fitness levels (pups included!) to come together for a great cause! Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking to enjoy a walk with your friends (and pup!), every step you take helps make a difference! So come on down and celebrate in the memory of all our lost paws! This event will include many vendors, a brat fry, face painting, and more! As it was last year, the bike trail will be our running route. All proceeds from this event will directly benefit the Green Lake Area Animal Shelter, ensuring that we can continue to enhance the lives of animals and people through adoption and education, and assisting all of the stray and surrendered pets in Green Lake County.

The Northern Kettle Moraine Nordic Ski Team is excited to host the first-ever Greenbush Trick or Trail 5K/10K race! Taking place in the scenic Greenbush trail system, runners can choose between a 5K or 10K course. Thank you for joining us for the 3rd Annual Beer Belly 5K Run/Walk! For three years, Vickery Village has hosted this fun and inclusive run alongside the Autumn Festival, with 100% of the proceeds going directly back to the Suamico Fire Station. This year, Vickery Village has teamed up with local business Paramount Physical Therapy & Training to help bring this fun event to the next level! This event is for the whole family! November Project Madison will host the 5th edition of the only half marathon race held entirely on Bascom Hill on Saturday, October 31st at 8am. That's 40 laps around a 1/3-mile oval-shaped sidewalk (approximately 2,000 feet of elevation gain). There are solo and team divisions, and costumes are highly encouraged. Registration for this untimed race is free. The top-of-the-hill aid station will offer water, snacks, and moral support. All solo finishers will receive a vintage November Project Madison buff of their choice.

The Endurance United adult camp 2026! Campers will be in charge of their own transportation AND lodging. Included in the camp fee will be coaching and some meals. (Friday dinner, Saturday and Sunday lunch). Breakfast is on your own. Saturday dinner we’ll plan to go out for a group dinner purchased on your own. The Capital Credit Union Houdini 10k recognizes Appleton's iconic resident Harry Houdini and ushers in the beauty of a Wisconsin fall with a scenic course including the Newberry Trail and Appleton Locks. Participants will start at Houdini Plaza and finish in Jones Park to enjoy post-race food & beverage including Copper State Brewing Co. beer to those 21 & older. This special event honors our veterans and active-duty service members and is part of the Wisconsin Chilly Willy Winter Run Series. Join hundreds of runners as you make your way through the beautiful Veterans Park in the only race that starts and finishes on Mason Street, right in front of the War Memorial. After the race, stick around for the awards ceremony and treat yourself to our hot chocolate bar.
