Join us for the Wet Dog Triathlon at Point Mallard Park on July 11th, 2026 at 7:00 AM.  This year will launch a new era for Wet Dog as it becomes a Team Rocket Tri Club managed race.  Long time Race Director Leah Brown will still be very involved as we work together to make Wet Dog the very best open water sprint triathlon in North Alabama.  Wet Dog Triathlon at Point Mallard is a 400 meter open water swim, followed by a 15k bike ride and a 5k run along the beautiful (and FLAT) banks of the Tennessee River at Decatur, Alabama. Wet Dog is a fundraiser for Tennessee Valley Outreach, Morgan County Rescue Squad, and Princess Theater.  Wet Dog at Point Mallard is the second of three races that make up the Summer Sprint Series.  Heel & Crank Duathlon and the Huntsville Sprint Triathlon are the remaining event in the series.  Each participant who finishes will receive a series water bottle at no extra charge.  Race photos will be by We Run Race Photography. Every second Sunday this summer at 7AM we’ll host a 5k at a unique location. Come for the race, stay for the BYOB potluck brunch. One payment of $20 buys you a bib for the entire series. Flat, Fast & Fun! Now in its 39th year, the Mountain Lakes Triathlon invites you to swim the calm waters of Lake Guntersville, bike a flat, beautiful loop, and run lakeside greenways. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just finishing strong, the community vibe and post-race pool party make this event one to remember. Join athletes of all levels for a day of challenge, camaraderie, and celebration at one of the country’s longest-running triathlons.

This is a fun 5K race to help close out summer!  This race will take place in late evening/night and require participants to take a shot of cold brew coffee at the end!  Participants will receive a shirt and glow kit!  Race will be chip timed. Proceeds will benefit the Sharecroppers Soles program that gives shoes to running athletes. All participants who complete the 5K and drink their shot will receive a finishers "I took a shot in the dark" glass.  Prizes for top male and female and age groups.  Bring a flashlight!

The Anniston Runners Club (ARC) and our members invite you to our premier annual event, the historic Publix Woodstock 5K and Kidstock 1K! The 2026 race's RRCA championship event designation is the Alabama State 5K Championship, marking the 19th RRCA championship event hosted by Woodstock. We are back to our original location at Point Mallard Park!  Brothers for Life exists to support local firefighters, police officers, EMS professionals, and dispatchers. Race start is at North Trailhead Beginning with a short service road start, runners will quickly sort themselves before entering the single track of Blue Trail. After some rolling uphill, you will take a hard left up one of Oak Mountain's gnarliest climbs, and my favorite training hill, Outback Highway! Once summitted, good news, the most grueling stretch is behind you. But you still have 2.5 miles of rugged Alabama terrain. After the next, shorter, and gentler hill, you will crest over onto one of my favorite top-outs with boulders towards a slippery pine straw downhill. Next is a walk-worthy climb to your halfway point, your water station, and the crown of this race: King's Chair! After a quarter mile of mostly runnable trail, you will come to your second toughest, but final climb to Eagles Nest. From there, it's about a half mile of technical downhill till you get back to Red Road for a fast finish. But make sure you watch your ankles here! So, come test your grit with t

This is a race like no other. The course includes a scenic route starting in Ross Bridge Village Center and crossing participants through six distinctive neighborhoods of a classic American resort town. There will be a time of fellowship at our Health Expo where there will be prizes, vendors and activities for the children.

Join us for the 10th Annual Bloody Mary 5K Run and Walk at Tacky Jacks in Gulf Shores on Saturday, August 30th at 7:30 am. This annual event is on flat and fast city streets.  If you want to earn a PR or just have fun, THIS is the Labor Day weekend event you want to do. This race is the final race in the Run the Coast Summer series. There are cash prizes for the top 3 male and female runners in the series, based on the points system over the 3 races. Labor Day weekend also kicks off football season and a race tradition is showing your team spirit. The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who've served our nations since. This is the 2nd Frantic Frog Sprint of the year.  The Goose Pond Island Frantic Frog Fall Sprint Triathlon will take place at the Goose Pond Colony Resort, located in Scottsboro, Alabama on September 19th, 2026. We have added a 5k Run to the event this year, for those that don't feel challenged to participate in the Triathlon.  It will be the same course as the triathlon run portion.  You won’t be required to have a USAT membership for the 5k.  We invite all to come enjoy the beauty and challenge awaiting in our host Northern Alabama venue! Packet Pickup Friday 5 PM - 7:00 PM & Saturday 6:30- 7:30 AM at the grassy area just outside of the Docks Restaurant. Please park on the north side of the pool and not by the transition area. Please note that if you are picking up your packet on race day morning, you will need to arrive early so that you can get checked in and won’t delay the start of the race.
