The race starts at the beautiful Bridge Street Town Center in Huntsville AL and runs through Cummings Research Park, the nations 2nd largest research park in the US.  We will have a Chip Timing start and several pacing groups available. The Visit Tuscaloosa Half Marathon is the longest distance running race held in Tuscaloosa Alabama each year.  Runners get a sampling of the rolling hills along the Black Warrior River, the Tuscaloosa River Walk, portions of the University of Alabama campus, and some quaint downtown neighborhoods.  Runners can also choose to participate in the 5K or the Alabama Credit Union 1 Mile Fun Run and get in on the action! Welcome to the 34rd running of the Ellis Porch Statue to Statue 15k. Starting in the shadow of Vulcan's statue and finishing near the Statue of Liberty, the race winds its way through the scenic neighborhoods of Mountain Brook, Alabama. The course gently rolls and is generally downhill for the first six miles. Runners then head up a pair of hills that are among the most challenging you'll find. The reward for climbing the hills is a fast mile-and-a-half downhill finish that's sure to generate the quickest splits you've ever run. Hospice of West Alabama’s 16th Annual Family 5K will be held April 11, 2026, at the Harry Pritchett Running Park . The event will begin at 8:00 am, with registration beginning at 7:00 am. The HOWA 5K is a reunion, in a way, as many families of former patients participate. Participants can choose to run in memory or honor of a loved one, giving their walk a personal meaning. The event includes activities for the entire family, and it gets bigger and better every year.

The Hokes Bluff Library Foundation and our co-sponsors, the Hokes Bluff Lions Club and Tawannah Lions Club, invite everyone to join us as we go "BOOKING IT" THROUGH THE BLUFF on April 26, 2025. Options for races include a 10K Run Only beginning at 8:00 AM and a Triathlon starting at 8:30 AM. The triathlon will be an exciting triathlon totaling 42 kilometers starting at the Hokes Bluff Community Center.  Athletes will begin with a 5K run through the streets of Hokes Bluff to Hokes Bluff Ferry Road.  Participants will then kayak 4.5 kilometers paddling with the current on the Coosa River until they reach the designated landing spot at the Coosa Veranda boat ramp. All triathlon participants will be required to wear life jackets when in and around the water. The race will continue, as the challengers complete a vigorous 32.4 kilometers cycle through Eastern Etowah County to the finish line at the Hokes Bluff Community Center. Race starts at Peavine Parking Area. The race opens on a fast, forgiving service roa.d before dropping sharply downhill and rolling into a short, gentle climb just beyond the bridge. From there, the course turns straight up pinestraw-covered singletrack, cresting the ridge and diving back down into a flowing descent that winds its way toward the Peavine Gorge Overlook.  You’ll then tackle a technical, rocky downhill to the creek, followed by narrow, technical singletrack as you move downstream along the water. After crossing the creek, hands-on rock steps force you upward as you head back upstream. This section is technical, and downright gnarly.  As you grind deeper up the gorge, Peavine Falls comes into view, marking the heart of the course. From there, you’ll cross the creek again and climb hard once more, scrambling up to the cliffside trail. Since the inaugural Mayor’s Cup in 2007, we've raised over $350,000 to provide resources for preschoolers throughout the Tuscaloosa area. The Mayor's Cup is a simple, fun way for the entire community to get together and get involved in supporting education.  The Tuscaloosa Mayor's Cup 5K is a proud partner of the Tuscaloosa Runners' Championship (TRC), presented by Fleet Feet Tuscaloosa. The Kitty Kat Haven & Rescue 5K Meow-A-Thon is a 5k race and the Whisker Walk  is a 1 mile fun run/walk benefiting Kitty Kat Haven & Rescue, a no-kill, cage-free shelter for cats and kittens. The race will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Veterans Park, 4800 Valleydale Road, Hoover, AL. Veterans Park offers a varied terrain for running, including fields, trails and pavement. The race will be held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather we will operate on a delay.  Check-in begins at 7:00 am. The 5K Meow-A-Thon will start at 8:00 am. The 1 mile Whisker walk/run will start at 9:30.  This will allow time for 5k awards and to allow 5k runners to participate with family in the whisker walk! Register online through midnight May 1, 2026. Registration Opens February 1st Huntsville’s first 24-hour running event will be held at Milton Frank Stadium. In traditional 24-hour format, participants may run continuously or take breaks as needed throughout the event. Runners are welcome to rest, refuel, socialize, or compete without stopping. In addition to the 24-hour event, race options will include a 6-hour, 12-hour, Marathon, 50K, and 50-mile race. The goal of this event is to provide an inclusive environment where runners of all abilities can come together to run fast, run slow, and run long. Aid stations will be available for all participants; however, runners are encouraged to bring their preferred nutrition and supplies. Personal tents and setups are welcome for those planning to stay for extended periods. The event will be chip timed. Welcome to the 2026 Cotton Row Run 10K, 5K, and 1 Mile! Run the Cotton Row!  For 46 years the Cotton Row Run has been the premiere Memorial Day running event in the South.   The Cotton Row Run is conducted by the Huntsville Track Club

Event Description The name of this event says it all… Because of the Brave!  We love this country and all of us enjoy the freedom of living in the United States of America.  However, this freedom we enjoy came at a price.  On this Memorial Day, come out and join us in an event that truly honors the brave men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.  Because of the Brave 5K is truly about reflecting on this sacrifice that was made by so many of our heroes.   These men and women carried their American flag and served our country with honor.  What better way to honor them, than to carry an American flag while running/walking a 5K?  As part of this event, each runner/walker must carry a 2’x 3’ American flag during the entire 5K course.  The flag will be affixed to a pole so it will be easy to carry.  The flag and pole together will be light so even children will be able to participate.
