Phi Eta Sigma's Volunteer-A-Thon Run for Reading!

The goal of the Anniston Runners Challenge Series is to recognize consistent performances by ARC members.   A secondary purpose of the series is to increase participation in ARC races and to increase membership in the Anniston Runners Club. The third purpose is to support local charitable causes.  Runners competing in this year's ARC Challenge Series will receive points based upon their finish in The Fab Four Series.  Everyone who completes all four races, no matter the distance, will be awarded a long-sleeve Series T-shirt. 1.1   There will be no age group competition.  The top 3 overall male and female who have competed in the longest distance available races will receive Top 3 male and female awards.  Those who competed in a shorter distance race are eligible for an overall male or female award for the shorter distance series.  If you compete in the Quarter Marathon during the Half-Naked, and then decide to compete in the Five-Miler at Canyon Climb, you will receive -5 points fo

The Anniston Youth Runners Club is a FREE program. It is dedicated to fostering a love for running among the youth of Anniston. Our mission is to encourage physical fitness, personal growth, and a sense of community through the sport of running. Open to children and teenagers of all skill levels, the club offers a supportive and fun environment where young runners can develop their abilities, set personal goals, and build lifelong healthy habits.  Our Monthly Mileage Program begins in January and runs through to November. The ARC Youth Runners Program will meet weekly starting in March and ending in July with skill-building sessions, and team-building activities. Additionally, we participate in local and regional races, including the Canyon Climb 1 mile and Woodstock 1K or 5K, allowing our members to test their skills in a competitive yet encouraging atmosphere. The Birmingham Track Club promotes fitness and a healthy running lifestyle for its members. Part of this involves consistency, and the BTC wants to reward its members for that consistency. So in 2008 the BTC established the 1200 Mile Club Challenge. Log 1200 miles during a calendar year to meet the Challenge. How it Works You keep a log of all the miles you run. At the beginning of each month, you receive an email with a link to an online form to submit your total miles for the previous month. The log is posted in the BTC Newsletter and continuously updated on this website so that you may track your progress. Complete at least 1200 miles by the end of the year and you've met the challenge; you've earned your place in the 1200 Mile Club and you qualify for special BTC rewards. To further the mission of the Birmingham Track Club, we host multiple group runs. These runs may be part of a programmed training plan or simply a way to get together with fellow runners. The Epsilon Zeta chapter of Alpha Chi Omega at Auburn University is hosting the 5k for DVA Race for the promotion of awareness, education and prevention of domestic violence. AXΩ is happy to share an event full of community spirit, integrity and fun that students of Auburn and members of the local community can participate in and look forward to. 100% of proceeds from the event will be donated to the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation and the Domestic Violence Intervention Center of Opelika. The AXΩ 5k for DVA will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 21st, 2026. The race will begin promptly at 8:30. Runners will race through the beautiful campus of Auburn University. Join us Saturday, March 21st, to kick off spring with the Montgomery Whitewater Hootenanny 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run!  (Float) Race Day begins on land with the Hootenanny 5K at 10:00 AM, followed immediately by the 1-Mile Fun Run at 11:00 AM. The race starts at the beautiful Bridge Street Town Center in Huntsville AL and runs through Cummings Research Park, the nations 2nd largest research park in the US.  We will have a Chip Timing start and several pacing groups available. The post race party will be hopping with dozens of vendors and live music! Average Temperatures for this time of year are 44F for the low and 67F for the high.

Huntsville Track Club presents the Annual Rocket Run Ten Miler A flat, fast, certified 10 mile run in the town of Mooresville, AL.  State record eligible! Run or walk the beautiful Northeast Alabama Community College campus on Saturday, March 21, 2025, and help us to raise money for scholarships at the First Southern State Bank Mustang 5K!   The Mustang Run / Walk will begin promptly at 8 AM from the Athletic Complex on the Northeast Campus at 138 Alabama Highway 35 Rainsville, Alabama.  Chip timing will be provided.  All proceeds from this race will benefit scholarships at Northeast Alabama Community College.   Pre-registration until February 14 is only $25.  February 14 until day of race is $30.  Registration day of race is $40.  Students pay only $20.  To be guaranteed a long sleeve race t-shirt, please register before March 1.

The Visit Tuscaloosa Half Marathon is the longest distance running race held in Tuscaloosa Alabama each year.  Runners get a sampling of the rolling hills along the Black Warrior River, the Tuscaloosa River Walk, portions of the University of Alabama campus, and some quaint downtown neighborhoods.  Runners can also choose to participate in the 5K or the Alabama Credit Union 1 Mile Fun Run and get in on the action! Join us for Kearria Kares Foundation TBI Awareness Charity Walk, a community event dedicated to raising awareness, support, and hope for individuals and families affected by Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). This walk is more than just miles; it’s a movement. Together, we honor survivors, remember loved ones, and stand in solidarity with caregivers while promoting education, advocacy, and resources to raise awareness about TBI. Whether you’re walking in support of someone you love, as a survivor yourself, or as a community ally, your presence makes a difference. The event is open to all ages and abilities. Participants are encouraged to walk at their own pace, wear awareness colors, and help spread the message that TBI awareness, understanding, and support matter. All proceeds benefit the Kearria Kares Foundation, supporting its mission to educate communities, provide resources, and advocate for those impacted by traumatic brain injuries.

The Pi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi will be hosting its annual Sarah Anderson Live.Laugh.Run. 5K on March 28, 2025. Kappa Kappa Psi is a national honorary fraternity dedicated to serving college and university bands across the country. In November of 2009, Sarah Anderson lost her life in a tragic car accident. Sarah was a sophomore studying to go to veterinarian school at Auburn University, a piccolo player in the Auburn University Marching Band (AUMB), and a brother of Kappa Kappa Psi. In honor of her memory, the Pi chapter will be using all proceeds to fund the Sarah Anderson Memorial Scholarship, a scholarship that is granted to a deserving band member at the end of each fall semester. I am dedicating this run to my father, Robert Willis, who has recently experienced a severe heart attack and is now coping with congestive heart failure. In my opinion, this is a pressing concern that impacts a large number of people. A heart attack of such magnitude can lead to unemployment and create substantial financial, physical, and emotional challenges.
