BTC 1200 Mile Club Challenge

Birmingham, AL
The Birmingham Track Club promotes fitness and a healthy running lifestyle for its members. Part of this involves consistency, and the BTC wants to reward its members for that consistency. So in 2008 the BTC established the 1200 Mile Club Challenge. Log 1200 miles during a calendar year to meet the Challenge. How it Works You keep a log of all the miles you run. At the beginning of each month, you receive an email with a link to an online form to submit your total miles for the previous month. The log is posted in the BTC Newsletter and continuously updated on this website so that you may track your progress. Complete at least 1200 miles by the end of the year and you've met the challenge; you've earned your place in the 1200 Mile Club and you qualify for special BTC rewards. Qualification Participation in the 1200 Mile Club Challenge is free but you must register and you must be a current member of the Birmingham Track Club. Mulberry Mile: Trail Endurance Race

Hanceville, AL
The Legend of the Mulberry Mile Long before runners traced their footsteps along the banks of the Black Warrior River, the Cherokee and Creek nations traversed these Appalachian ridgelines, calling the river the restless one for the way it carved its will through stone. They believed the Mulberry Fork carried the memory of every traveler who braved its white‑water rapids—stories churned into its currents, grit woven into its roar. Warriors hunted along its banks, believing the river rewarded only those who respected its power and matched its determination. Today, Whitewater Ranch stands on ground shaped by all those who came before. When runners gather for the Mulberry Mile Ultra‑Marathon, they join a lineage older than any race bib or finish‑line banner. For twelve hours, they follow a trail carved by water, wind, and human will. They climb where hunters once climbed. They descend where warriors once sprinted. They push through fatigue the way its earliest settlers pushed through stor

Running for Robert 5k

Prattville, AL
I am dedicating this run to my father, Robert Willis, who has recently experienced a severe heart attack and is now coping with congestive heart failure. In my opinion, this is a pressing concern that impacts a large number of people. A heart attack of such magnitude can lead to unemployment and create substantial financial, physical, and emotional challenges. Let's come together and run for Robert, as well as for all those affected by heart problems. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Thank you very much!
