Bay One Beer Mile - RELAY

Colonial Beach, VA
Welcome to the 2nd Annual Bay One Beer Mile - Relay in beautiful Colonial Beach, Virginia (we survived the inaugural shenanigans...mostly)! The authorities have let us have another go at the 1-mile relay run/walk/crawl inspired by the memory of John Lamb to raise awareness about the importance of donating blood, sharing in the love of drinking craft beer, and enjoying life. John was a dedicated Power Red Blood Donor to the American Red Cross, loved beer, but hated running and, like last year, would've loved seeing his fellow beer-lovers suffer through the challenge of the Bay One Beer Mile. REGISTRATION & PACKAGE PICK-UP The Bay One Beer Mile-Relay is an "untimed" relay-race being held on March 21, 2026 and will start at 11:00 AM in the parking lot of the Ice House Brewery and Marina https://www.icehousecb.com/, on the waters of Monroe Bay in Colonial Beach, VA. Awards will be presented to the Top-3 teams. Team names/themes/costumes are highly encouraged and there will

2026 Don't Sit on Colon Cancer 5K & 1 Mile Walk

Virginia Beach, VA
Stand with us as a sponsor of Sentara’s annual Don’t Sit on Colon Cancer 5K & 1 mile walk, a community-driven event dedicated to saving lives through awareness, early detection, and support for those battling colon cancer. On March 28, 2026, survivors, families, medical teams, and supporters will come together not just to move their bodies, but to move change forward. Today, colon cancer is the leading cause of cancer in men under 50 and the second leading cause in women of the same age. Even more alarming, it is increasingly being diagnosed in younger adults, many of whom face advanced stages of the disease due to delayed detection. These realities underscore the critical need for increased awareness, education, and access to screening. Run or walk to remember those lost, honor those fighting, and to celebrate the survivors of Colorectal Cancer throughout Hampton Roads. Proceeds from this event directly support colorectal cancer education, increase access to screening, and provide
