COURSE UPDATE:The start and finish of all races will be in the Water Park west parking lot at the Archery area like it was in 2024.  10k Course map 5k Course map For over three decades, the River City Run has been one of North Alabama’s most anticipated Spring RRCA runs. We are proud to partner with The Committee on Church Cooperation as our Charity Sponsor. $800 in Prize Money!!  10k male/female: 1st $125, 2nd $100, 3rd $75, Master $50, Grand Master $50. Finishers Medals for 10k and 5k. Fun Run awards for the kids. Runners can participate in the 5K, 10K, 5k/10K Double or the all ages Fun Run. The 10K and 5K courses are flat and fast. The first 3.5 miles of the 10K are run through quiet residential streets. The finish of the 10K and the entire 5K is run on the park and golf course perimeter road which runs along the beautiful Tennessee River. The 5K course is an out-and-back and the 10K is a loop. The Fun Run is a loop of the paved perimeter trail around the Spirit of America field. 5k

The Walk for Autism Fundraiser is an exciting event dedicated to supporting, bringing awareness to and providing resources to those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Whether you're a seasoned walker or just looking to enjoy a day of fresh air and community spirit, this event is for everyone! This walk is hosted by the nonprofit Stim City and Every Step ABA  Services. Find Your Part: Participate: Walk with us and raise awareness for Walk for Autism vital work. Walkers can choose their own distance or join in with a set route, all while gathering support from friends, family, and colleagues.Fundraise: Set up your own fundraising page and invite others to sponsor your walk! How many laps can you walk? Every step you take brings us closer to our goal of supporting the impactful work in the community.Donate: If you can’t attend, don’t worry! You can still make a difference by donating directly to the fund

This is a 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run to benefit First Priority / Clothe Our Kids campus ministries and students in Morgan, Lawrence, and Cullman counties. To receive a free race T-shirt, you must register by Monday, March 30th, 2026. The 5K will start at 8:00am at Decatur Baptist Church, 2527 Danville Rd SW. The 1 Mile Fun run will start at 8:40am.  At every turn of the First Priority run you will have volunteers cheering you on.  ----- Race Packet Pick Up will be at Decatur Baptist Church, 2527 Danville Rd SW from 4-6pm on April 10th 2026. At that time, you will get your bibs, t-shirts, and your runner bags filled with goodies from our incredible sponsors.

Join us for the Wet Dog Triathlon at Point Mallard Park on July 11th, 2026 at 7:00 AM.  This year will launch a new era for Wet Dog as it becomes a Team Rocket Tri Club managed race.  Long time Race Director Leah Brown will still be very involved as we work together to make Wet Dog the very best open water sprint triathlon in North Alabama.  Wet Dog Triathlon at Point Mallard is a 400 meter open water swim, followed by a 15k bike ride and a 5k run along the beautiful (and FLAT) banks of the Tennessee River at Decatur, Alabama. Wet Dog is a fundraiser for Tennessee Valley Outreach, Morgan County Rescue Squad, and Princess Theater.  Wet Dog at Point Mallard is the second of three races that make up the Summer Sprint Series.  Heel & Crank Duathlon and the Huntsville Sprint Triathlon are the remaining event in the series.  Each participant who finishes will receive a series water bottle at no extra charge.  Race photos will be by We Run Race Photography. We are back to our original location at Point Mallard Park!  Brothers for Life exists to support local firefighters, police officers, EMS professionals, and dispatchers. Please join us as we support these brave men and women! Please sign up for our 5k race, 5k ruck, or our 1 mile fun run. RUCK DIVISION: male weight is 30lbs and female is 20lbs.  Early registration ends July 28th. Everyone that registers early gets a shirt! Packet pickup will be Friday night at Cross Eyed Owl Brewery on Friday August 7th from 5-7PM at 105 1st Ave NE, Decatur, AL 35601. Packet pickup will be on race day, Saturday morning from 6:00AM-7:30AM in Point Mallard. The race will start at 8:00AM.
