This community 5K and walk is being held in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Our goal is to bring our community together to raise awareness about domestic violence, support survivors, and connect participants with local resources. The 5K will begin and end at the Temple to Music at 10:00 AM. Whether you're an experienced runner or prefer to walk, everyone is welcome! The Burrillville Bronco 5K is a fundraising event for the Burrillville Prevention Action Coalition (BPAC). BPAC is a volunteer working task force comprised of individuals who are interested in substance use prevention in the town of Burrillville. Helping Hands of EG is a 501(c)(3) committed to supporting local individuals facing familial death or illness. On Saturday, November 7th we will be hosting our 5K Trail Fun Run, starting at 9am in the back of East Greenwich High School. This years race will be in memory of Alyssa Rose McGraw. Alyssa passed away last August at 14 years of age. She attended Cole Middle School, and was preparing to enter the eighth grade. Alyssa's family has asked that all proceeds from this year's race go to organizations that were very meaningful to Alyssa and her family-EG Unified Sports Program, Women & Infants NICU, and Give Kids The World. We Hope to See you all November 7th! Please no dogs at the event. The course will head out on Lyons Ave and continue on Veterans Memorial Parkway and return on the gorgeous East Bay Bike path, with beautiful views of Narragansett Bay and the City of Providence. Each year, the Newport County YMCA hosts the annual Pie Run on Thanksgiving Day. This USATF sanctioned race, originally founded in 1985 by the Newport Running Club, collects food donations for the MLK Community Center as well as raises necessary funds for the Y's Community Support Campaign. Typically, this beloved annual event draws over 2,000 walkers and runners who gather at the Newport County YMCA parking lot. Ultra runners have from 7am-7pm to complete as many laps as possible within the 12 hours. You may run your first lap in the elite or AMOC wave, and just continue after with laps! Elites start at 7:15am, AMOC start at 7:30am ANY elite, AMOC person wanting to run multi-laps, just keep going after your competitive wave!

Race rescheduled for April 17, 2027! The Central Falls School District is proud to announce that year three of the Flynn's Flyers 5k run/walk race will take place on Saturday, April 17, 2027 in Central Falls Rhode Island. The CFSD sponsored event is in memory of our long time colleague, friend, coach, and educator Ms. Kelly Flynn who suddenly passed away in the spring of 2023. Lets run together to honor the legacy of Kelly. All funds raised at this event will go towards the Girls on the Run CFSD afterschool program. Fly high, Ms. Flynn and good luck to all the runners involved. The race will start promptly at 9:00am at Yip Field with a short speaking engagement beginning at around 8:40am. Runners may start the check-in process at the starting line as early as 7:45a. The race will start and end at Yip Field in Central Falls with parking located a short distance from the starting line. Participants choose if they want to complete 3 loops of the mixed terrain scenic course to eventually complete the 3.1 mile race course. We encourage both runners and walkers to register for the event. Due to safety issues and the course design, dogs and baby carriages are not allowed. All participants will receive a t-shirt and race medal. At the conclusion of the race, there will be light refreshments for runners. We encourage family and friends to cheer runners on throughout the course. This is a rain or shine event.

Join us in the City-by-the-Sea for this stunning marathon and half marathon. In its 10th running, the Newport Rhode Races partners with the upcoming Annual Newport Daffodil Days Festival to give you a true Spring Newport Experience. Our courses will pass along many of the over 1,200,000 starting to bloom around the City by the Sea. (We'll call it Dash through the Daffodils!) Providence Rhode Races winds through 4 of Rhode Island's famous communities, providing runners with a truly unique RI experience. Enjoy historic neighborhoods, treelined streets, sweeping coastal views, and working waterfronts. The Marathon will start at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, May 2, 2027, at Bold Point Park, East Providence, RI. The Kids' Fun Run will start and finish at the same Bold Point Park location, directly following the 5k start. It is a one-kilometer course, and limited to children under 10. In Memory of Jim Varin to benefit The RI Brain & Spine Tumor Foundation Jim Varin was a dedicated firefighter in the city of Providence for 31 years. He always expressed how extremely thankful he was to have a job that he loved so much. In January of 2022, Jim’s life as he knew it completely changed. He was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive and fatal form of brain cancer, at the young age of 52. Due to this diagnosis, Jim would never be able to return to his fire station and perform the job he loved. Before his passing, just 13 months later, he talked about wanting to help others who may be affected by Glioblastoma down the road. I assured him that his death would not be in vain and that we would make sure some good came from him being taken from us too soon by such a relentless cancer. The Blazin’ Battle Against Brain Cancer 5k/10k is not only a way to keep Jim’s memory alive and positively channel the pain so many of us feel in his absence, but most importantly it will fulfill Jim’s desire to help others who are faced with a brain or spine cancer diagnosis. Your participation in this race will directly support The Rhode Island Brain & Spine Tumor Foundation’s (RIBSTF) mission to provide comprehensive support to those individuals, and families of those diagnosed, with brain or spine tumors and enhance their quality of life by providing education, spiritual and financial support, as well as to assist those who conduct research and wish to study this field. For avid hikers, ultra runners, or anyone looking for a new challenge. Come for our first year of the King of the Hill event. You will run or hike as many laps of a hill loop as you can in a 12 hour period from 7am-7pm. The Male and Female that reaches the furthest distance will be crowned the King and Queen of the Hill!

A great race for your first attempt at the Ultra distance or for the veteran trail runner. The course is 50% smooth non-technical trails and 50% moderately technical trails. Our generous cutoff time allows runners of all abilities to complete this milestone distance. Come join us in June for the first year of the F.I.T 50k!
