With all of the construction on campus, we're not sure if and when the roads will be ready, and we don't know what condition they'll be in. We've been waiting for an update, but since we need to get registration started, we've decided to have an AQUATHON for 2026! We've decided to have the Kids race an AQUATHON as well. Since it will be April, and weather could be a factor, we will continue our "reverse" order (run, then swim). The adult run course will be shorter, but the swim will be the same. The Sandia Resort & Casino Run to Break the Silence benefitting Presbyterian Ear Institute will take place on Sunday April 19, 2026 at Sandia Resort & Casino with a 5K and 10K Trail Run and a Kids Fun Run. Welcome to the 43nd Annual Shiprock Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K Shiprock Youth Center – Friday, May 1 & Saturday, May 2, 2026   The 2026 Shiprock Marathon will provide a unique and memorable running experience the first weekend of May in Shiprock, New Mexico!   The Shiprock 5K Trail Race will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1 on the Blueberry Hill course, beginning and ending at the Youth Center.  There are awards for top individual (overall and age-group top three) and team winners.  All runners will receive a performance t-shirt, race poster, swag and post-race snacks.  We have added two new events to Friday's lineup.  We will host the Elder's Run at 3pm.  These events are fun-run style, so no timing or awards.  Each finisher will receive a finishers medal. Glorieta Twelve Hour Endurance Race

Glorieta, NM
This destination event is set in the southern terminus of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and will offer a unique test of stamina and perseverance. Participants will have 12 hours to complete as many 3.2-mile trail loops as possible or desired. We will provide ample support including fully stocked aid station fare, a covered area for securing gear, fun things to do for family and friends supporting, as well as easy access for them to check on their runner, rucker or hiker. Lodging, camping, activities and food are all within the 3.2 mile course loop. If you have been wanting to attempt the ultra distance, this event is for you. Death by 5k is coming BACK to Albuquerque! Join us for the third edition of Death by 5k Albuquerque taking place at Balloon Fiesta Park on May 30-31. RunStrong Event's signature 24 hour challenge, Death by 5k requires participants to run ten 5ks, starting each 5k 2.5 hours apart. The first 5k starts at 8 am, and subsequent 5ks start at 1030, 1, 330, 6, 830, 11, 130, 4, and 630 am. Participants need to be present at the start of each 5k, and have that 5k finished prior to the start of the subsequent 5k. Polly's Run

Polly’s Run, a non-profit road race, is an annual 5K Run/Walk and Kids’ K road race honoring Polly Rogers and all the loved ones we have lost to pancreatic cancer. The 5K will take place at 8:30am and the Kids K at 9:30am on May 31, 2025.  The 5K race begins on 18th Street outside of Explora, and the Kids K starts at 18th Street and Mountain.   The purpose of the race is to raise awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer research. The proceeds from this event will support pancreatic research by donating 100% of the profits to the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center. The UNMCCC has created an endowment for Polly’s Run that the profits from every year will be contributed and continue to grow. The endowment will create an everlasting funding stream for pancreatic cancer research in New Mexico.
