The Down n' Dirty Trail Run is the second race in the Huaco Cuatro Trail Run Series. Each racecourse (3K and 8K) runs through the trails on the rolling hills in Cameron Park. As you are running on trails with names like Powerline, Slinky, Mix Master, and Vortex, you may discover how they got their names. Notes: Dogs and baby joggers are not allowed on the course for safety reasons.

Pink Diamonds Survivors of Cancer and the Kiest Park & Recreation Center will host a Health & Wellness Event on April 11, 2026, that will feature a 5K Walk, Health Fair and Line Dancing. Welcome to the Houston Kids Triathlon presented by Huntington Bank. The 11th annual kids triathlon will take place at Typhoon Texas Waterpark in Katy, Texas over TWO DAYS; Saturday April 11th and Sunday, April 12th. After each race day, the park will be open for participants and family to enjoy a day of fun in the sun.  The Short Course triathlon (ages 6-11) will include a 125-meter swim, 2-mile bike, and 1-mile run. All proceeds raised during this event benefit the Sheldon Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which provides grants to Sheldon I.S.D. teachers. What is it? Tidy Up Tomball is a bi-annual trash clean-up event designed to bring the community together to beautify the City of Tomball.   When is it? Tidy up Tomball is a bi-annual event. The next event is scheduled for April 11, 2026.   Where is it? 401 Houston St. Tomball, TX 77375   How does it work? Tidy Up Tomball is open to businesses, schools, organizations, families, and friends—everyone is welcome! Teams will be assigned a clean-up area and meet at 8:00 AM on event day to sign in, get their route number, and pick up supplies. After cleaning their area, teams will place filled trash bags in the designated drop-off spot, then return to check-in to return supplies and complete the event.   How do I sign-up an individual or a team? GreenFest on the Greenbelt is an event centered around health, wellness, and recreation. There will be food and activities for the whole family including food trucks, vendors, and music. The walks/runs are not your everyday 5K, 10K or 1Mile Fun Run. They are special because of the surroundings and the unique experience in the festival area. The 1 Mile Fun Run will be around the festival area for all of the spectators to enjoy. The 5K is a good introduction to off-road running/walking. The course will be almost entirely off-road and will take you along the beautiful Greenbelt Trail, across the historic Elm Fork Bridge, and introduce you to the equestrian trails. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome. The 10K is for those who are a little more adventurous and serves as a good introduction to trail running/walking. The Kile G. West Memorial 5k is a unique walk, jog, run in beautiful East Texas and is open to the public. The race is held in memory of First Lieutenant Kile G. West, an SFA alumnus and SFA Army ROTC commissionee who was Killed in Action on Memorial Day 2007, in Iraq. All proceeds from the event will go to the Military Science Excellence Fund, a scholarship founded in 1LT West's memory.
