Cactus Rose Endurance Trail Race

Bandera, TX
RACE DATES: OCTOBER 23-25, 2026. No whiners, wimps, or wusses.  This is a rugged trail running race that was designed to test runners.  The course can go by quickly because of it's picturesque views;  technical climbs and descents; and fun terrain.  But be careful looking at the scenery too long, you might end up face first in a cactus. Please understand this race does not have our usual full spread aid stations and volunteers...on purpose. We have medical staff, but you are required to be able to handle your own needs out on the course.  People asked for a tough race, so Tejas Trails made it happen.  Enjoy! Cactus Rose is capped at 500 total runners for all distances. While every racer will get some cool swag, September 29 is the deadline to get a shirt. Soles Walking 4 Souls Virtual Walk-A-Thon

San Antonio, TX
This walk was started in 2023 to commemorate the bill signed by Governor Abbott designating October as Fentanyl Awareness Month in Texas. Since that time, we have hosted three in person Fentanyl Awareness Walks in San Antonio, TX Well, We’re Doing Something Completely Different This Year! This year, Soles Walking 4 Souls is changing things up! Instead of hosting our traditional in-person walk in San Antonio, we’re taking our mission beyond one location and inviting people everywhere to walk with us. From October 23–31, 2026, we’re hosting the Soles Walking 4 Souls Virtual Walk-a-Thon during Red Ribbon Week. For nine days, participants can walk wherever they are, log their miles, share their stories and photos, create teams, and help us work toward one big community mileage goal. Walk one mile or walk twenty. Walk around your neighborhood, at a park, on a treadmill, with your family, friends, coworkers, classmates, or your dog. You can walk in memory of someone you love, in honor of someone in recovery, or simply because you believe in raising awareness about the dangers of illicit fentanyl. Registration is FREE There is no registration fee to participate. We want everyone who believes in this mission to be able to join us, regardless of where they live. Participants are encouraged to create their own fundraising page or teamthrough RunSignup and invite friends and family to support their miles. Donations are appreciated but never required to participate. Every Mile Matters Throughout the week, participants can log their miles through RunSignup as we work together toward our overall mileage goal. Whether you walk one mile or walk every day, your miles count. Each mile represents awareness. Each mile represents remembrance. Each mile represents hope. And together, those miles show families impacted by fentanyl that they are not walking alone. Make It Your Own Create a team with your family, workplace, school, organization, recovery community, or group of friends. Walk in your own community and share your photos, signs, stories, and miles throughout the week. Participants are also encouraged to walk in honor or memory of someone special and share their name and story. We’ll be sharing participant photos and stories throughout the event on social media so that even though we may be walking in different cities and states, we can come together as one community with one mission. Why Red Ribbon Week? Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s largest drug prevention awareness campaign. By holding our walk-a-thon during Red Ribbon Week, we hope to bring additional attention to the devastating impact of illicit fentanyl and encourage conversations about prevention, education, recovery, and protecting our communities. Who Can Participate? Everyone. Anywhere. Walk alone. Walk with your family. Walk with friends. Walk with coworkers. Walk with your school or organization. Walk with your dog. There is no required pace and no required distance. Participate in whatever way works for you. At Soles Walking 4 Souls, we know that behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a story that matters. Together, we walk for those we have lost. We walk for those still fighting. We walk for awareness. We walk for change. Register for free, create your team or fundraising page, log your miles, and help us see just how far we can walk together.

CTX Wrestling Presents: Mats to Mud Obstacle 5K + Youth 1 Mile

Hutto, TX
OFF THE MAT. INTO THE DIRT + MUD FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF WRESTLERS. This one is for the wrestlers, the families, the runners, the competitors—and anyone ready to get outside, get a little dirty, and have some fun for a great cause. Join us for the CTX USA Wrestling Mats to Mud Obstacle 5K + Youth 1 Mile, a one-of-a-kind fundraiser supporting Central Texas USA Wrestling. Hit the dirt trails, tackle five wrestling-inspired challenges and obstacles, take on the elevation changes, embrace the natural terrain, and yes...plan to get a little muddy along the way! But this isn't just about crossing the finish line. It's an opportunity to build camaraderie, get together off the mat, challenge yourself in a different way, and have some fun while giving back to the wrestling community we love. EVERY DOLLAR FUELS CENTRAL TEXAS WRESTLING. All proceeds support the CTX USA Wrestling Scholarship Fund and club support, helping provide financial assistance to wrestlers for things like: USA Wrestling memberships/cards Wrestling shoes Tournament registration Other participation needs that help keep athletes on the mat Support for our Central Texas wrestling clubs When you run, you help another wrestler keep going. THE MATS TO MUD OBSTACLE 5K Check-In: 8:00 AM Race Start: 9:00 AM This is not your average 5K. Our trails are natural, unimproved dirt trails—meaning you can expect uneven terrain, elevation changes, rocks, roots, loose dirt, and whatever else nature has in store that day. Along the approximately 5K course, you'll encounter five wrestling-inspired physical challenges and obstacles designed to get you moving, working, laughing, and maybe talking a little trash with your friends along the way. Expect: 🤼 Wrestling-inspired challenges 🌳 Natural dirt trails ⛰️ Elevation changes 💪 Physical obstacles 🧠 A little strategy 👟 A lot of movement 🟤 A little mud 😂 A whole lot of fun The Obstacle 5K is open to anyone but is best suited for participants who are comfortable running or completing a 5K distance and taking on physical challenges along the way. Suggested age: 13+. Younger participants may participate with a parent/guardian's discretion and appropriate supervision. Come ready to challenge yourself. Leave with muddy shoes and a good story. YOUTH 1 MILE Start: 9:30 AM The Youth 1 Mile is designed for our younger athletes, ages 10 and under. A great opportunity for kids to get outside, move their bodies, experience the excitement of race day, and be part of the cause! Whether they're wrestlers or simply ready to run, all kids are welcome. THESE SHOES HAVE A STORY POST-RACE WRESTLING SHOE SWAP Don't throw those old wrestling shoes away just yet! After the race, stick around for our Wrestling Gear Swap. Bring your worn, loved, but still in good condition wrestling shoes to donate, trade, or pass along to another wrestler. Before you bring them, we encourage you to take a moment to share their story and can find THESE SHOES Cards on the trade-in table. “THESE SHOES...” Finish the sentence: These shoes... -Were my first pair. Took you to FargoWon your first tournamentWere your first pairWon a State ChampionshipCarried You through a hard season Maybe you've simply outgrown them—and now it's time for another wrestler to make their own memories in them. Write your answer down and attach it to the shoes you're donating. We want to celebrate the stories they've already carried—and send them off to help carry another wrestler forward. Because sometimes, passing something down means passing something on. THE FUN DOESN'T STOP AT THE FINISH LINE Stick around after your race and enjoy the full Mats to Mud experience! 🎵 Music 🍔 Food Trucks 🏆 Awards 🤼 Rules + Techniques Clinic 👟 Wrestling Gear Swap 🧒 Kid Zone 🧘 Recovery Zone 🛍️ Vendor Village ✨ And a few surprises along the way! Please understand that this is an outdoor trail event and course conditions may include: Uneven terrain Dirt and loose gravel Rocks and roots Elevation changes Mud Natural obstacles Wet or slippery conditions Physical challenges requiring strength, balance, mobility, and coordination Participants should choose the event that is appropriate for their age and physical ability.
