8th Annual “Blast Fun Run Bubble 5k Family Fun Run/Walk

The North Olympic Discovery Marathon, Marathon Walk, Marathon Relay and Half Marathon take place on a unique point to point course that incorporates the beautiful Olympic Discovery Trail with stunning views of the Olympic Mountains and a five mile finishing stretch along the shores of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The Great Ferry Race

Bainbridge Island, WA
The Great Ferry Race is unlike any other race you’ve ever done. Participants will board the ferry in downtown Seattle by walking on, enjoy the scenic 35 minute crossing to Bainbridge Island, and then assemble on the car deck and walk off.  This half marathon race will start on the ferry dock and take runners all around scenic Bainbridge Island.  The course is approximately 2/3rds road and 1/3rd groomed trail.  After the run, enjoy the post-race festival before picking a return ferry of your choosing back to Seattle. Please note that this is a hilly course, compared to most Orca Running events, and that approximately 1/3 of the course is on Bainbridge Island trails. The trails are not technical and do not require trail running experience, but runners that experience difficulty while running on trails should probably not run this race. This is a race series for EVERYONE! As long as you have a bicycle worthy of being ridden on dirt, and can pedal it, you can do this! If you are a pro, it’s great for training. If you are new to Mountain Biking and/or Riverside State Park, it’s a great way to learn the trails and make new friends. We use the term “race” loosely. We are all about fun and keeping it simple! Come out on Wednesday Nights and ride your bike. Pedal as hard as you want or casually if you want. If pedaling casually, do keep in mind that it will eventually get dark! New course every week. Berry Dairy Days 5K and 10K Race

Enjoy this historic festival with a 5K or 10K race on Saturday, June 20. Although it started as the “Strawberry Festival”, Berry Dairy Days has been a consistent part of the community for the past 88 years! Berry Dairy Days continues to celebrate Burlington’s history, agriculture, farming, traditions and community. In 1937, the first annual “Berry Dairy Days” was launched when the Burlington volunteer firefighters organized a fundraiser to purchase new equipment. The community event served as a fundraiser and a way to celebrate strawberry farming in Burlington. To add excitement and draw a crowd, they made a giant strawberry shortcake that was pulled down Fairhaven Avenue in red wagons. Pieces of the cake were handed to the crowd that had gathered to catch a glimpse of the shortcake. As the festival grew not only in size but in scope, in 1965 the event was handed over to the Burlington Chamber of Commerce to continue the tradition. CVR Youth Running Camp 2026

This camp is limited to the first 50 registered participants.  The Cowlitz Valley Runners (CVR) are excited to host this day camp (June 24th to June 26th from 9:30 AM to Noon each day) for incoming 6th, 7th and 8th graders.  Campers will meet each day at the RA Long High School auxiliary  gym and have running events at the high school and nearby Lake Sacajawea Park. The camp will introduce kids to aerobic conditioning, proper warmups, running games and activities, racing, team building, health and nutrition, goal setting, running shoes and clothing, and more.  The focus will be on lots of movement and activities.  The camp is free!  Campers will get a t-shirt, water bottle, snacks, and a $5.00 discount to CVR's Go Fourth Mile race on July 4th (immediately before the Longview Go 4th Parade).
