His strength was unbelievable, two weeks before he was diagnosed with "stage 4", he ran 5 miles with me, he only stopped because the road ended, not because he was sick, not because he was tired. On another occasion while he was receiving chemo treatments he went for a mile run with me, the next day he came home and said "Welp, Doc said I can't go for runs at this point in my treatments." again not because he was sick or tired simply because the Dr said. He stood tall and was always on the go, ready for new adventures. His love for his family was beautiful and expressed with compassion and laughter. Help us continue his legacy of love and strength by participating in this run/walk year after year. We will use your s

Wulfman's CDT-14K Trail Race

Butte, MT
Every continent except Antarctica has a continental divide. In North America the divide runs from northwestern Canada along the crest of the Rocky Mountains to Mexico's Sierra Madre Occidental, and it is generally the line that divides the flow of water between the Pacific Ocean and Atlantic Ocean. In 1968 a federal plan for the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (CDT) was mandated, and construction continues to complete this national trail. Fourteen Butte-iful kilometers along the CDT between Montana's Homestake and Pipestone passes in Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest are complete.  They provide scenic vistas with majestic rock formations. This race along that route celebrates the trail and the memory of one of its greatest local proponents -- the late John "the Wulfman" Wulf, who was the Godfather of Butte's Piss & Moan Runners. The race is run near the Summer Solstice, the anniversary of the Wulfman's final run with his Piss and Moan comrades. R
