Both events will be held at English Landing Park in Parkville and participants will receive a custom finishers medal and top finishers will compete for age group and overall awards. This race is being run in honor of long time area runner, World War II veteran, and VFW employee, Ed Burnham, and a portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the VFW Foundation in his honor. Cocoa Classic 5K — St. Louis Sunday, November 8, 2026 · 11:00 a.m. Washington University in St. Louis, Danforth Campus www.runcocoaclassic.com The Cocoa Classic is a 5K with a purpose: raising money for mental health work reaching teens and young adults before a crisis, not after. The race was founded by Collin Maher as a high school sophomore in Atlanta, after he noticed kids at a local food bank wearing worn-out shoes. What started as an Eagle Scout project put new shoes on more than 1,600 children. Collin died by suicide in May 2026, weeks after finishing his freshman year at WashU. He was 19. This race is the St. Louis Cocoa Classic — run on the campus he loved, on Olympic ground, for the young people who need someone to notice. The course runs through the Danforth Campus: 169 acres of Collegiate Gothic architecture and an accredited arboretum, at the best week of the year for it. The 1904 Olympic Games were held here — the first anywhere in the Western Hemisphere. Welcome to the inaugural Midwest Ultra Trail Classic, a true single-track trail running experience held at Knob Noster State Park in Knob Noster, Missouri. Whether you're looking to tackle your first trail race or your next ultramarathon, the Midwest Ultra Trail Classic offers a distance for every runner. Participants can choose from 10K, 20K, 30K, 40K, or 50K distances, all taking place on the scenic and challenging Opossum Hollow Trail. The course consists of a 10K loop featuring technical single-track terrain from start to finish. Expect winding forest trails, rolling hills, roots, rocks, creek crossings, and approximately 550 feet of elevation gain per loop. Each additional distance simply adds another loop, allowing runners to enjoy the same fully supported course throughout the day. Kick off the holiday season in true St. Louis style at the Winterfest 5K, returning for its sixth year at Gateway Arch National Park. The Winterfest 5K is the only official run/walk that goes through and supports Gateway Arch National Park's official nonprofit conservancy, giving you a chance to experience the Arch grounds like never before. While you run or walk, you'll take in stunning views of Downtown St. Louis, the Old Courthouse, and the iconic Gateway Arch. Directly after the race, our seven-week long Winterfest celebration will kick off in Kiener Plaza with ice skating, s'mores stations, heated igloos, and so much more. The Lake of the Ozarks Turkey Trot 5K is a family tradition held on Thanksgiving morning at Camdenton High School. 2026 will be the 17th year for this event. It's attended by many families who want to kick their holiday off with some exercise, friendly competition and camaraderie. New Hope Christian School, located in Smithville, Missouri, is excited to announce their inaugural turkey trail trot 5k on November 27, 2025. This self-timed event will be a fundraiser for the school to support Christian education in Smithville. The tradition lives on! The St. Louis region's largest and oldest Thanksgiving Day run gets set for its 44th annual edition. Choose between the 3-mile and 6-mile races. Run in-person or virtually! Downtown Kirkwood is where it's all happening. The 3-mile begins at 7:30 AM while the 6-mile begins at 8:10 AM.

Please join us for Thanksgiving mass at 9:30am. The 3 mile run and 1 mile fun walk will begin immediately following mass around 10:30am. As always we will have a virtual registration option for those unable to participate in person. The Run for Ryan was formed to support parishioner, Ryan McDaniel and his family in their battle against cancer. The McDaniel Family, so grateful for the love & support they had received, created the Stay Strong Fund to help others who find themselves in a similar situation. Ryan’s legacy of kindness & generosity lives on in this fund.

The Annual Hillcrest Hope Giving Thanks 5K will be held on Thanksgiving Day 2026 at 9 AM in Liberty, MO. All proceeds from this event benefit Hillcrest Hope by raising awareness and funds to support its mission to transition homeless families to self-sufficiency. This event will be chip-timed.
