2026 Nantucket ShamRock Run

2026 Nantucket ShamRock Run! The 14th annual ShamRock Run will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 11:00am.  Runners and walkers of all calibers are welcome!  The event will start and finish at 5 Bartlett Farm Road, at the Cisco Brewery parking lot.  There will be two Little Leprechaun Leaps prior to the race, one for children 18 months to 4 years; the second for children 5 - 10 years of age.  Both races are FREE of charge, with face painting and fun to follow! The ShamRock Run and walk will begin promptly at 11:00am; lite bites, music, and fun to follow at Cisco Brewery. Race swag and bib pick-up will take place on Friday, March 20th at the Haulover from 4:30-5:30pm and on Saturday, March 21st at Cisco Brewery from 9:30-10:30am.  The ShamRock Run is a fundraiser for the Nantucket Island Safe Harbor for Animals, proceeds first pay for the race expenses and all residual funds go to the Nantucket Island Safe Harbor for Animals (NISHA)!  Please know in advance there will be NO refunds. Participants will choose from a 10 or 20 mile distance, those who choose the 20, will have a 4 hour time cap to complete the 20 mile distance. New Race Day: Saturday, April 11(Originally March 28)   Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield Half Marathon/5K/10K/Kids Fun Run will start at 11:00 a.m. on April 11. About the Program The Needham Track Club Spring Track Program is open to children age 4-14. The program meets on Sundays from April 12 – June 14, 2026 at DeFazio Track in Needham. There are two sessions to choose from: 9:15 - 10:20 am and 10:45 - 11:50 am. Children age 6.5-14 can choose a sprinting group or a distance group. Age 6.5 can choose to remain with an age 5-6 team. The weekly sessions include warm up, stretching, running drills, sprinting and distance training, hurdles, field event technique building and warm down.
