Our 2nd Annual Finding Hope Suicide Prevention 1 Mile Walk is on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at LSUE Campus in Eunice, LA. The Finding Hope Suicide Prevention 1 Mile Walk is a community-focused event about creating connection and finding hope as it is dedicated to raising awareness, honoring lives, and supporting those impacted by suicide and mental health challenges. This uplifting and inclusive gathering welcomes participants of all ages who are family, friends, and supporters of this cause. Along the walk route and throughout the morning, you'll find encouragement, meaningful moments of reflection, and a shared sense of purpose. Proceeds help fund prevention efforts, such as, education presentations and creating local resources that make a real difference in our community. In 2025, we had nearly 400 participants and raised over $14,000.00. Many participants stated, "This is needed in our community." We found the participation and feedback from the Walk validated that truth. We committed to offering community education on suicide prevention throughout 2026. We are fulfilling that commitment by providing talks on suicide prevention to local churches, organizations, businesses, and schools. We are also training certified Mental Health First Aiders who are among us in our community to be equipped with how to respond to and help those in crisis. Divisions: Elementary - Individual registrants will run 1 mile. Junior High School - teams and individual registrants will run 2 miles Race Times and Awards: Female elementary 1 mile race will be held at 8:00 AM and the male 1 mile race will be held at 8:15 AM with awards to follow. What is a Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk? The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! For more information on the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation please visit www.t2t.org. How far is a Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk? This is a 5K (3.1 miles). You are welcome to walk or run this event. Can I register the day of the run? Yes, registration will open at 7:00 AM on the day of the race. When does online registration close? Online registration will close August 21, 2026. Is this a timed event? No. Where can I pick up my packet? Packet pick up will take place at Moncus Park on November 7th from 8 AM to 11 AM. If you are unable to pick up your packet early, you can pick up on race day. Do I have to wear my bib number? Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment. Join us for the 3rd annual "Watson Strong" 5K Color Fun Run on Saturday November the 14th at 112 Front Street Vidalia, Louisiana from 9 am until 2pm. The race will begin at the base of the levee across from the Vidalia Upper Elementary School and will go down Concordia Ave including Concordia Extension turning around halfway down the Extension and heading back to the start/finish line. There will be several color stations along the route, so you are colorful when you complete the race. There will be two waves: a runner's wave that starts at 9 am and shortly afterwards the walker's wave will begin. The Rows of Hell is available only as part of the Machete 7 Challenge. A WORD OF WARNING... This is a real Louisiana sugarcane field. The fields are inspected before race day, but this isn't pavement. Ruts, tire tracks, holes, mud, uneven ground, and other naturally occurring changes in the terrain cannot all be prevented. Trail shoes are not required, but older shoes you don't mind getting dirty are highly recommended, especially if rain has fallen during the week leading up to the race. THE ROWS OF HELL There's a reason you have to earn your way into this one. The Rows of Hell takes Machete 7 runners through the middle of an uncut sugarcane field, weaving down rows and across rough, uneven terrain. The terrain is not level, and conditions can range from dry and hard-packed to extremely muddy. Depending on the height and condition of the cane, runners may want to wear a lightweight long-sleeve shirt and/or running pants. Sugarcane leaves can scratch exposed skin. You've been warned. LATE REGISTRATION & SHIRTS Registering within two weeks of race day? Unfortunately, we do not own a magic crystal ball, so we cannot accurately predict shirt sizes for late registrations. We'll do our best, but participants registering within two weeks of the event are not guaranteed a shirt on race day. If your shirt is unavailable, it will be available for pickup at a later date. Ready. Set. Gleaux! Join us on Thanksgiving Eve as we light up Camellia Boulevard for the 24th annual Camellia Crossing! On November 25, put on your gleaux gear and race down to River Ranch Town Square for a night of family fun that makes a direct impact on the lives of local families fighting, surviving, and living with cancer. It doesn't matter what race you sign up for, everyone who registers is welcome to participate in both races. Your registration fee includes a gleaux-in-the-dark T-Shirt, a variety of gleaux gear, and a food and drink wristband for the official after-party. All proceeds from this event benefit Miles Perret Cancer Services. By participating, you help provide services to local families facing cancer. Thanks to your support, Miles Perret clients are never charged for the services they receive.

Founded in 1907, the 119th New Orleans Athletic Club's Turkey Day Race stands as the 5th oldest continuous race in the United States. The race begins and ends at Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans City Park, featuring a 5-Mile and a Kids' Half-Mile run/walk. It has become a cherished holiday tradition for families from across the nation, with several generations returning annually to participate. Celebrating its 38th year, the Turkey Trot returns to Downtown Baton Rouge on the morning of Thanksgiving 2024. This race is a local thanksgiving tradition – one that serves the community by keeping them active and fit through racing and by partnering with the March of Dimes as a fund-raiser to help their organization financially and by spreading the word about the work they do. The Tammany Turkey Trot takes to the streets of Covington again on Thanksgiving morning. Ready to experience the history of downtown Covington, or show it off to your visiting family and friends? Here’s your chance to #EarnYourTurkey! Athletes will start their Thanksgiving run just north of downtown Covington. From there, both 5K and 5 mile runners will make their way through downtown and into the splendor of moss-covered trees that line the streets. Close to St. Paul’s High School runners will head slightly west before turning north. From there, it’s a return trip for the finish line at the St. Tammany Courthouse! 5 Mile runners will finish their Turkey “tour” with a scenic jaunt further south past more beautiful homes before rejoining with the 5K course and heading north back to downtown. The 1 Mile Fun Run option will start at 7:30am prior to the 5K and 5 Mile Run.
