As part of our 3rd Annual Spring Fling celebration, the Calhoun Civic Club will host the Not Ya Mama's 5K race on SATURDAY, APRIL 12th, 2025. The race will begin at 8:30am and will be followed at 9:30 with a kid's only fun run. Runners will complete a circuit beginning at the Calhoun Civic Club on Calhoun Loop Road, pass along Owens, McCain Farm Road, West Ouachita Baseball Road, and complete the race by entering the West Ouachita Wellness Park to take a victory lap on the wellness park track. The kid’s run is a short loop around the Wellness Park track. The Great Pumpkin Run for Bennett 5k Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 8am Levy Park, 403 East 3rd Street, Crowley, LA 70526   We will be hosting a 5k run to benefit Bennett James Guidry, son of David and Joelle Guidry, and the INADcure Foundation. Bennett was diagnosed with Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD) shortly after his 3rd birthday. A portion of funds raised will help his family purchase necessary medical equipment along with making home modifications to give Bennett the best home environment. The INADCure Foundation is working diligently with scientists and researchers to develop gene therapy as a possible treatment for INAD (which currently has no treatment options). A large portion of funds raised will go directly to the INADCure Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit foundation, in support of their valiant efforts to cure this terrible, terminal disease. The 3.1-mile race event will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 8:00AM in City Park. The start line will be located in City Park near the Children's Museum (15 Henry Thomas Dr, New Orleans, LA 70124). You can participate as an individual or on a team. THE ONLY 5K QUALIFIER FOR THE CCC10K ON march 27, 2027: The Corporate Classic 5K serves as the ONLY 5K qualifier for the Crescent City Classic 10k. ICCS Panther Run: ICCS PTO will be holding its annual Panther Run/Walk 10k, 5K, and 1-Mile Color Run on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The Pink With Purpose One Mile Fun Run/Walk is held annually to honor breast cancer patients, survivors & those who have gone before us. The proceeds from the event are used for supporting breast cancer patients & their families in the Acadiana area & fund the annual Pink With Purpose Scholarship presented every May to a local high school senior whose family has been affected by a breast cancer diagnosis. Rapides Junior Runners Fall Series provides 4 races in late August thru October for kids aged 3 to Junior High. Various distances are run, depending on the child's age: 3-5 runs a short distance for a Fun Run; 6-11 runs 1 mile; 12-14 will run 2 miles. One -mile participants may register via runsignup.com. No race day registration will be available. One registration is good for the entire season. Registration will open up again the day after each race to accommodate late registrants. Two-mile participants can either register as an individual participant via runsignup.com. If you are participating on a Junior High team, you will register with your Junior High School coach. The course is a true cross-country course, closed to traffic and utilizes the grounds of Ward 9 Sports Complex, 3311 Donahue Ferry Road, Pineville. Upon individual registration, each participant will receive a chipped bib to be kept and re-used at each race. If a runner happens to misplace or forget the bib number on race morning, replacement bib numbers will be available for purchase at the race venue for a cost of $10. This annual 5K at Forsythe Park is more than a run — it's a united stride toward community growth and access to justice, with all proceeds benefiting the Northeast Louisiana Bar Foundation's pro bono projects. Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish.
