Channel your inner equine: Race eight furlongs on a smooth, packed surface.  The fourth annual edition of the Bluegrass Mile provides runners of all abilities a unique opportunity to cover 5,280 feet on the dirt track at Red Mile. Whether you're looking for a competitive mile or a community walk, all are welcome to join us for an evening on the track. We will also be introducing a 5k for 2026! 5k participants will experience the iconic Red Mile race track, and then exit the track for a short out and back before returning to the track, and running a lap of the inner circuit too!The number of sign ups for the mile will determine how many heats we will seed runners into. Join us for the Colors for Care 5K run at Madisonville City Park on April 18th 2026 to raise funding to support the Hopkins County Community Clinic.  5K starts at 9:00 am SHARP. Strollers and well-behaved LEASHED dogs are welcome (please be sure to clean up after your dog!) We ask that you start behind the runners. Children younger than 6th grade are welcome to participate but will not be eligible for a shirt nor will they be timed like the other runners. PACKET PICK-UP: first session will take place on April 17th from 3:00pm-6:30pm outside the Trover Clinic Tower.  Second session will be at 8:00am on April 18th (race morning) at the registration table. Inaugural Paris-Bourbon County YMCA Indoor Triathalon! Have you ever wanted to try a triathalon and didn't know where to start?  This is a great opportunity for beginners and even kids to see what they are made of.  It can also be a great tool for experienced athletes to test their training or prepare for the next event.  Join us Saturday, April 18th for a fun day and to challenge yourself in this completely indoor race.  A relay option is also available if you are a parent that wants to compete with their child or a group of two or three people that just want to do one or two events each. Kids ages 7 - 13 will be able to compete but will run the indoor track instead of the treadmill.  Parents/guardians 18 & over must be present at each event.

Danny Carothers was an outstanding leader in our community.  He lead quietly behind the scenes encouraging our better angels to love one another and help each other up.  Conquer the Hill is a 5K Run/Walk to honor Danny's leadership, bring us together to meet the needs of neighbors in our community and to move each other forward.  If you knew Danny, you know how his life and love impacted you.  Danny always told us, "we can do this together"! Please join us for our 9th annual Autism community event, the Autism SpectRUN 5K, at the Elizabethtown Sports Park! All proceeds from this family fun 5K will benefit Camp TESSA of Hardin County. Camp TESSA (Teaching Effective Social Skills to Students with Autism) is a week-long summer day camp provided in Hardin County. Participants engage in various activities to practice social skills, including music, art, mealtime, games, and field trips. Support is provided by multiple community members, teachers, therapists, parents, and peer partners.  Each runner who registers by April 1st  will receive a race t-shirt! T-shirts will not be included in the 9 and under category (unless registered as a paid participant). The Good Fight 5k Run/Walk is a race that will be held on April 18, 2026 at Kereiakes Park in Bowling Green, KY. The event is held in memory of Vernon Long, who was an avid runner who passed from cancer in October 2021. This year, the event is also held in memory of Lacey Poppy, who after a valiant fight against cancer - passed in 2023. All proceeds from this event will be going to Life’s Better Together, Inc. and will be directly donated to support a family where someone is undergoing treatment for cancer. Your participation and support of this event not only helps the  family but shows reverence for all who are battling cancer. Our hope is that through this event, we can help those who are impacted find a community and not feel alone in fighting the good fight of cancer treatment.

The Redbud Ride is an annual bicycle ride that starts in beautiful downtown London, KY and stretches throughout the surrounding areas. This ride is a must do for cycling enthusiasts, professionals, century riders and amateurs alike. The Redbud Ride has been chosen as the "Best Century Ride in America" by Active.com.  The routes for the Redbud Ride passes some of the most beautiful scenery in Kentucky, filled with blooming redbud trees! The 35th Annual Breakfast Lions Club Tri-Fest 5K Run/Walk benefiting Habitat for Humanity of Henderson, KY will be on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Unfortunately, during one of these experiments, he was mutated into a goat/human hybrid, and went insane. National Crime Victims Rights Week (NCVRW) 2026 will be observed each year in April. KINSHIP is a state of being with survivors that drives vital connections and increases access to services, rights, and healing. KINSHIP is where victim advocacy begins. The Elizabethtown Police Department Victim Services will be hosting a Community Resource Fair and 5K on Monday April 20, 2026 in support of local crime victims. There will be multiple Community Partners with resources available on day of the event. The 5K is FREE. The resource fair will run from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The 5K will start at 6:30 p.m. Chief Jeremy Thompson and Attorney General Russell Coleman will speak in support of Crime Victims at 6:10 p.m. Free Shirts and Run bags will be provided to those that sign up by April 6, 2026 at 11:59pm.

This is a 5k run and 1 mile dog walk to benefit the Humane Society of Calloway County. The 1 mile dog walk will be inside the Murray State Arboretum on the paved path. If you are unable to attend the event, there is a virtual run option. There are three One With Courage Awards for those that bring "Hope", "Help" and "Healing" to children. Sustainable Glasgow is excited to host their fifth annual Homegrown 5k on Apri 26th, 2024 at 7:30 am.  New for this year, we will have a chip-timed race with age group awards, but joggers and walkers are welcome!  The race will begin at the Yancey's Patio in Downtown Glasgow, Kentucky and meander through beautiful neighborhoods and the South Green corridor before ending back on the Square.  Course closes at 8:30 am.  Proceeds of the race will benefit Sustainable Glasgow and supplement the Double Dollars program for the Bounty of the Barrens Farmer's Market.   We will have a packet pickup and in-person registration on Friday evening before the race at First Christian Church, 1100 N. April is Amputee Awareness Month.  May 2026 will mark 5 years that I have been an amputee.  This event was created to raise awareness and support two groups that are important to me.  When I was in high school, I was a member of the track and cross-country teams.  Before my accident, I enjoyed running as a stress reliever and for exercise.  Working with kids is another passion of mine.  Nothing was going to stop me from getting back to teaching even after becoming an amputee.  Camp No-Limits is a camp for children who deal with being an amputee (https://www.nolimitsfoundation.org/). With your help, I will be able to offer scholarships for children who may struggle with the cost of attending camp.  This event will raise funds to help both Camp No-Limits and the Green County Track team.   All events will be held on the track.  The walk begins at 9:00am cst.  Primary age "Littles Lap" begins at 9:30 cst.  Intermediate age "Littles Lap" begins after Primary race.     We wil
