At Ashland Elementary, we try to take our 4th and 5th grade students on at least one outside-the-classroom experience every single month. These trips come with a price, and we never want any student to miss out on these opportunities because of the financial burden they could put on families. These field trips help expose our scholars to pathways they may never have known about — whether it’s in the arts, science, or possible future careers! The Eagle Chase 5K is our way of keeping those trips fun, educational, and affordable. All race proceeds go directly toward field trip costs, including two big end-of-year adventures for our 4th and 5th grade students! Whether you run, walk, or sponsor a student, you’re helping our scholars experience learning beyond the classroom while easing the cost for Ashland families. The 2nd annual Rodgers Road Race is a 5k run/walk and 1 mile kids run event benefitting the Coach Jeff Rodgers Memorial Scholarship. All race proceeds, donations, and sponsorships contribute to the scholarship fund. Jeff Rodgers, a truly remarkable and one-of-a-kind person, father, teacher, coach, mentor, and friend, tragically passed away in June of 2025 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He fought the good fight, finished his race, and kept the faith. This race serves as a way to honor Jeff and his legacy, raise awareness for pancreatic cancer, and continue his goal of making a difference in the lives of students by creating scholarships for graduating seniors. As Jeff would've said, "It's a great day to run a 5k!" Let's get up, get outside, get moving, and honor the life of someone we all love and miss every single day. The race begins and ends at the White Plains City Hall next to the walking trail. Registration will begin at 8:00 am on race day. The 5k run/walk will begin at 9:00 am. This is our 4th annual 5k for a cause, in the beautiful neighborhood of hilly Copperfield! This year we are honoring the caregivers - we watch our friends and neighbors be the support system of their loved ones and we want to see and honor those behind the scenes. Blessings in a Backpack presents the "Do It Yourself" 5K Walk/Run! Blessings in a Backpack unites communities to help ensure elementary school children have access to food on the weekends when school meals are unavailable. By mobilizing volunteers, donors, and local resources, Blessings provides nutritious, weekend-ready meals to children who might otherwise go hungry. Today, Blessings in a Backpack distributes more than three million meals annually, helping children return to school on Monday nourished, ready to learn, and prepared to succeed. The race is a “Do It Yourself” 5k run/walk done on your own time, at your own pace, and in your own place. You can participate any time between Saturday, November 7th, and Sunday, November 15th. RYR Endurance Team is excited to once again host the RYR Endurance Race Weekend in Owensboro, KY.  The weekend will offer a marathon on both Saturday and Sunday.  Both marathons will be on the same USATF-certified course and are Boston Qualifiers.  The Saturday race is designed for those who want to complete the marathon but aren't concerned with BQ qualifying times.  This race will be open to more athletes and other races will run concurrently.  The Sunday marathon is designed for those athletes desiring a personal best or trying to BQ.  NO other races will be run during the competitive Sunday marathon.  Registration for this race will be limited.  For all races, there will be tables set up for athletes to stage their individual nutrition needs.  RYR Endurance Team will also host a 5K, half marathon, and 50K on Saturday and a 10K on Sunday. The 4-mile course will traverse portions of the park, trails, and some pathways along/around the scenic East Hickman Creek. Started in 2014, the mission of the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Honor Run Half Marathon is simple; to honor those who have served us! All proceeds from the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Honor Run Half Marathon, 10K Run/Walk, and 5K Run/Walk are donated to Honor Flight Tri State to help send our local Veterans who have served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam to Washington DC for the day to see the memorials that they have earned. The 40th annual family event includes a 3K Walk (7:30 am start) and 5K Run (8:00 am start) with Thanksgiving themed door prizes and awards, and it is the sole fundraiser for the Bowling Green Running Club's High School Athletics Program. Any high schools in the following counties are eligible to apply for financial assistance through the Bowling Green Running Club: Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Metcalfe, Ohio, Simpson, and Warren. BGRC hopes to aid programs that don't have enough funds to adequately outfit their Track / Cross Country clubs with items such as uniforms and equipment needs. The BGRC officers and board members will review all applications and award as many as possible with the available funds generated from the annual Great Turkey 5K. Due to participant volume and separate start / finish locations, the 5K event is a gun start / chip finish event. It is strongly recommended that 5K participants pick up their bib chip during the early packet pickup to avoid long lines the morning of the event. ONLY Registered Runners and Walkers allowed on the course.
