Meet up for a Hamburg-area group run/walk every Saturday morning at 7:30 am. Check in at the John's Run/Walk Shop booth in the parking lot at 3090 Helmsdale Place in Lexington. All paces welcome. Then, join us for a FREE 5K on the 2nd Saturday of each month. We'll bring our timing clock so you can track your progress, and we'll provide snacks and water.

The Norton Sports Health Kentucky Derby Festival Training Program is a FREE 15-week program designed for runners and walkers of all experience levels.  The program includes a complete training schedule, in-person group runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays, cross-training opportunities, nutrition tips, and more!  The first 1,000 to register for the Norton Sports Health Training Program will receive a FREE long sleeve Tech Shirt. Once tech shirts sell out, registrants will still be able to register to participate in the training program and receive the training manual, however shirts are only promised to the first 1,000 registered. The Kentucky Derby Festival and PNC are once again offering a FREE training program for cyclists of all experience levels. The Training Program features six rides that offer participants training tips, including hand signals, rules of the road and nutrition information. All training rides will take place at noon on Sundays from February 22 through March 29, 2026, with rides increasing by five miles every few weeks. Rides will begin at the Waterfront Park Yellow Parking Lot on River Road. In addition to a bicycle, all riders must bring a helmet.   The first 250 participants to register for the Training Program will receive a free training shirt.

On April 1st at 5pm the inaugural Kenton Rotary 0.5K will be held at Braxton Brewery in Covington. At the 5:30 start time all the participants will walk a half a kilometer (0.5K) around the block. To make sure all our participants have enough energy to make it to the finish line, each one will be given a “special cannoli” from Del Gardo’s. When they cross the finish line everyone will go to The Loft on the second floor where they will be able to get a post-race adult beverage ((21 and up, soft drink for the littles) that is included in the registration.  A special prize will go to the winner of the race.  Is it 1st place?  Last place? Who’s to know? It is April Fool’s Day after all. Participants will receive a t-shirt, wristband for attendance, a drink ticket, and light hors d'oeuvres after the “race”.   Proceeds raise from this event will go towards the Rotary Club of Kenton County’s commitment to send military veterans and guardians to Washington D.C. for a tour of the memorials

This race is proudly hosted by the Kentucky Wesleyan College Class of 2026, with proceeds supporting two meaningful causes: 50% of all funds raised will go directly to Children's Cancer Research, helping ensure that families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food while their child battles cancer or other life-threatening illnesses.The remaining 50% will support the Class of 2026 Senior Gift, leaving a lasting legacy on campus that benefits future students and honors our time at Wesleyan. This event is open to runners of all levels and community members are encouraged to participate. Together, we can celebrate community, service, and the power of giving back. Join us for the Red Brick Run, an exciting 5K & 10K race experience combining scenic views, community, and celebration.   The 5K features a stunning out-and-back course across the Lake Barkley Bridge, finishing at the Historic Red Brick Inn.    The 10K takes runners deeper into adventure, wandering through the beautiful Land Between the Lakes. The race begins promptly at 10:00 AM. "A Warrant to Run" is hosted by the United States Army Warrant Officer (USAWOA) Longrifle Chapter. Warrant Officers are the few technical experts in their field, making up less than three percent of the Army. Our organization is comprised of both active and retired members with the purpose to recognize Warrant Officer excellence, provide mentorship and scholarship opportunities, and to represent the professionalism/time honored history of the Warrant Officer Cohort. The run route is an intermediate cross country format with gentle to moderate rolling hills. The race only intersects near the finish line and is a loop. Awards will be presented for the top 3 finishers. This event is located at Rocky's Pub in Frankfort, KY utilizing the old Ducker's Golf Course. Two days of fun are headed to the trails at Saunders Springs Nature Preserve, April 11-12, 2026. On Saturday, come challenge yourself — or bring a crew — in solo, duo, or four-person classes in mountain biking endurance races. On Sunday, the trails come back to life with the sounds of runners. Choose between the 5K, 10K, and 25K distances.   Both the run and bike courses are 99% singletrack, with that perfect Saunders Springs mix of scenic and “who designed this hill?” tough. Come join us in the beautiful Red River Gorge for the first annual Howlin' Wolfe 25k/50K. Starting and finishing at Natural Bridge State Resort Park runners will have the opportunity to see several fantastic natural features in the Red River Gorge. The race will feature a mixture of road running, single track trail, and fire road. We are limiting this edition of the race to 200 runners between both events so make sure you register early!
