The annual Tulip Festival Road Race in Orange City, Iowa is a mainstay on the third weekend of May each year. The 2026 edition will feature a scenic Orange City route starting and ending downtown with the last stretch along the Tulip lined Central Avenue from Northwestern College, past the historic courthouse, and through the Dutch architecture and festival features while finishing next to the Windmill in Windmill Park. We will feature a 5k run/walk and a 1 mile fun walk. Both events will start at 8:05 am on May 16th on Arizona Avenue near the park.  Dutch finisher awards as well as overall and age group awards will be given.  The race will be chip timed with a gun start. Participants can expect a t-shirt, fun race experience, and treats at the finish line.

Racers 9 and under can register for the Kids' Fun Run. This race will not be professionally timed, but medals will be given for the top three finishers for boys and girls. The Black Squirrel is a great race for any age and ability on a flat and fast course on Lake Manawa. The race starts and ends at Lake Manawa Beach. The Swim course is a clockwise course straight out from the beach and back.  The Bike Course consists of two complete clockwise loops of the lake.  The Run Course exits the transition area and uses portions of the paved trail and adjacent streets.   All participants will receive a finisher medal! Spokes Of Hope Bike Ride

Participants from many communities will come together to ride bikes, cheer on loved ones battling cancer, celebrate those who’ve won the fight and uplift the memories of brave fighters they may have lost. Peak Performance Fitness Gear Summer Run Camp

Join Peak Performance's experienced coaches for a fun summer running camp.  We will meet twice per week, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8AM.  Camp will begin with an informational session on June 9th and will formally kick off on June 16th.  Each session will be 60-70 minutes long. Every session will include a warm up, run, and useful information to prepare runners for their fall cross country season.  Topics will include: race day routine, warm up and cool down procedures, running nutrition, gate analysis and shoe selection, good running form, strength training and core work, as well as a training plan for the other days during the summer.
