The annual Tulip Festival Road Race in Orange City, Iowa is a mainstay on the third weekend of May each year. The 2026 edition will feature a scenic Orange City route starting and ending downtown with the last stretch along the Tulip lined Central Avenue from Northwestern College, past the historic courthouse, and through the Dutch architecture and festival features while finishing next to the Windmill in Windmill Park. We will feature a 5k run/walk and a 1 mile fun walk. Both events will start at 8:05 am on May 16th on Arizona Avenue near the park.  Dutch finisher awards as well as overall and age group awards will be given.  The race will be chip timed with a gun start. Participants can expect a t-shirt, fun race experience, and treats at the finish line.

Taking place at beautiful George Wyth State Park, Death by 5k requires participants to run (or walk) ten 5ks over 24 hours, starting each 5k 2.5 hours apart. Racers 9 and under can register for the Kids' Fun Run. This race will not be professionally timed, but medals will be given for the top three finishers for boys and girls. Registration will include a t-shirt and race packet. Kids' Fun Run will begin at 8:45 a.m. While we encourage family and friends of melanoma warriors to walk/run together as a team, and wear a team t-shirt to honor a loved one who has battled this disease, you do not need to register as a team. All registrations are individual- see you on race day! The race starts at 9:15 a.m. at the Peosta Community Center and ends at the Peosta Community Center.  When you register before May 11, the entry fee is $25.  This includes an event t-shirt (For sixes 2XL, add $2). The Black Squirrel is a great race for any age and ability on a flat and fast course on Lake Manawa. The race starts and ends at Lake Manawa Beach. The Swim course is a clockwise course straight out from the beach and back.  The Bike Course consists of two complete clockwise loops of the lake.  The Run Course exits the transition area and uses portions of the paved trail and adjacent streets.   All participants will receive a finisher medal! Awards for the Top 3 overall males and females ages 15 and above.  Top 3 individuals in each 5 year Age Group on both male and females.  Awards also for the top 3 relay teams.   Top overall award for Aquabike male and female.

A 30 day motorcycle challenge to benefit people living with Multiple Sclerosis The Ride & Raise Challenge is a motorcycle challenge you can enter and ride from anywhere. The Ride & Raise Challenge gives you a reason to ride your motorcycle/bicycle or walk/run as much as you can in 30 days for a great cause. The challenge can be completed at your discretion and the rules are simple. Registered riders or walkers/runners will document riding as many miles as they can from May 24th - June 22nd while collecting support from family and friends. The Quad Cities Criterium Running Wild Mile is a 1 Mile race around the Criterium course. The race will take place in the Village of East Davenport between the Pro cycling races. Experience the electricity of the Criterium crowds as you race a challenging 1 Mile on Memorial Day! Running Wild Mile t-shirts can be purchased for an additional $5 during registration, and all 21+ participants will receive a drink ticket to redeem at Raccoon Motel.

Packet pickup will be over at our race at corner of 28th and Ingersoll, and then it will be short walk to High Street where you'll find the start line. At roughly 1:30PM, the run will take off down hill to 24th street where it will take two right turns and take the field onto Ingersoll Avenue. After the long flat straight it will be a right turn up 28th street hill, this uphill will give you your next downhill down High street once again. Join Peak Performance's experienced coaches for a fun summer running camp.  We will meet twice per week, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8AM.  Camp will begin with an informational session on June 9th and will formally kick off on June 16th.  Each session will be 60-70 minutes long. Every session will include a warm up, run, and useful information to prepare runners for their fall cross country season.  Topics will include: race day routine, warm up and cool down procedures, running nutrition, gate analysis and shoe selection, good running form, strength training and core work, as well as a training plan for the other days during the summer. The RipRoar Youth Triathlon Series welcomes athletes ages 6-15 years old, as of December 31, 2026, of all backgrounds and abilities to complete a course of swimming, biking, and running at age-appropriate distances.  The RipRoar Youth Triathlon Series has received numerous awards and nominations for its work empowering and teaching youth life lessons through endurance athletics.

Waterloo is the official site of the first John Deere tractor factory and has been home to John Deere Waterloo Works for over 100 years! This event will be hosted at the John Deere Tractor & Engine Museum where you can run with John Deere employees and community members of the Cedar Valley. This flat, closed-to-traffic loop is great for serious racers and fun runners alike. The Pigman Sprint Triathlon is a favorite for top pros, serious amateurs, recreational racers, and first-time triathletes. This .5K swim, 25K bike and 5K run sells out very quickly because it's the perfect way to start your summer triathlon racing season.  The Pigman Olympic Distance (1.5k swim, 40k bike, and 10k run) ups the challenge.   Relay Teams Relay teams are welcome at the Pigman.  Top Male, Female or Coed teams will win awards. Time-Trial Swim Start Format Elite athletes and teams will start in waves beginning at 7:30am. All other athletes will start in a Time-Trial format. For the Time-Trial start, athletes will line up according to their respective age group wave (Triathlon age is based on your age as of 12/31 of race year). Don't want to run in person, check out our virtual run--you can run anytime and anywhere, even indoors on a treadmill. Participants will upload their time, location, and/or photo once they completed their miles. 5k, 10k, or 1/2 Marathon! Participants will receive a race bib, a t-shirt (long sleeve for 1/2 marathon), and handmade medals. (If done virtually, all items will be available for pickup or shipped to your home) Join a Cause:  Together we’re investing in our future, walking alongside youth, and learning together in the “everyday divine”. The Night Run Des Moines is the social race of the summer that won't feel like a typical Des Moines race route. It's meant to feel like the kind of run you take after a long day. The one where the music kicks in, the signs start to flick on, and the city feels like it's all yours. Whether it’s a 5K, 10K, Night Mile, or Night Mile + 5K/10K, everyone can join the fun! Join us for our 17th Annual Trestle Hustle hosted by the Boone County Hospital Foundation. For the 2026 event, we are offering an in-person event and a virtual option. All abilities are welcome, ages 14 and over. Participants of any age are welcome with a parent or guardian's signed consent. However, children ages 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult during the race. Athletes can choose to complete a Duathlon (2-mile run, 14-mile bike, 2-mile run) OR a 5K or 10K run on Saturday, June 20, beginning at 8:00 AM at the Madrid High Trestle Trail, beginning at Dalander Park / Johnson Trailhead (702 E 3rd St, Madrid, IA 50156). The 2026 RipRoar Des Moines Youth Triathlon features our standard junior, intermediate and senior division races as well as the annual legends division. Athletes aged 6-15 as of December 31, 2025 as well as all RipRoar Alumni are welcome to the starting line.
