Registration Is OPEN for the 2026 Run Leo road races! Run Leo is one of the premier races in the Triad with upwards of 1000 runners each year. It is the main fund raiser in support of the children of St. Leo Catholic School. Our 2027 Run Leo Road Race will be run on Saturday, March 13th.If you sign up for the virtual race, you can run it any time between the 9th and the 14th. Then, post your times and pictures by the 14th. So, come join us! Registration works the same as in years past. We will post your time on our web site and you'll get a quality t-shirt. The inaugural Strides for Survivors is being run to benefit the aftercare program at the NC Jaycee burn center. The aftercare team puts on annual events, including Camp Celebrate, Family Camp, Teenager Adventure Weekend, Adult Retreat, etc. for burn survivors. These events positively affect hundreds of survivors and their families. We hope that you will join us for this fun run/walk on Feb 28th at Wakemed Soccer Park. The Strides for Survivors 5k is organized by Enloe HS Junior Stella Illuzzi. As a former participant in Camp Celebrate, Stella wanted to combine her passion of running into a way to give back to a community that helped her as a child. All proceeds raised from this effort will support the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center, a program dedicated to providing specialized medical care and rehabilitative services for patients recovering from burn injuries. The Burn Center leads efforts in community education and burn prevention, pioneers new research, and strives to help patients return to their highest level of functioning possible after rehabilitation. It also supports families with compassionate care and fosters programs that improve quality of life and safety across the state.

We are excited to return to Carver's Creek State Park for Run Stubborn 25/50k for a second year! Last year was a blast and this year we have a surprise for you! This year the course will be ran in reverse and those who complete the course in both directions back to back years will earn a special challenge award! Are you hardy, persistent and stubborn enough to take on parts of the state park that aren't open to the public? If so, then this is the race for you! During this event you'll get to run some of the already known trails and then get adventurous on some special trails that you've not experienced before! This will be an old school, runner oriented race that will surely be a part of your 2027 race schedule! We have designed a fabulous course that will take you to places that you didn't know existed and we are super excited for everyone to experience Carver's Creek like never before! During the event you'll pass by several lakes and ponds as you enjoy some really runnable technical trail. There are no out and backs or two way traffic. Folks, this is a true 16 mile loop! You will run two laps for the 50k and there will be a hard cutoff to start the second loop. 50k runners have 9hrs to finish. Want to take your time or put on a ruck? You'll have the entire time to complete the 25k Only Cani-Cross dogs allowed. No children under 14 years of age for this event. Start a new family St. Paddy’s Day tradition with us the St. Paddy’s Day 5k & Little Leprechaun Dash, presented by Benton Roofing! Both races are entirely on the Ecusta Trail, starting and finishing at Trailside Brewing. The St. Paddy's Day 5k is family friendly and welcomes all ages and abilities! People with Down syndrome have an extra chromosome.  That's why this race has a little something extra too!  Runners will cross the standard 5K finish line, then go on to run to an extra finish line to represent the extra chromosome in our friends with Down syndrome.  Runners will be cheered on the "extra" dash by spectators with Down syndrome! All runners are invited to join us after the race for the World Down Syndrome Day celebration including food, games and bounce houses!

We are hosting a 10K/5K/1 mile race on March 16th, 2024. We are hosting this race to raise money for The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and The Cure Starts Now. Both these organizations fund research into the deadliest form of childhood cancer: Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). This race is held in honor of Ella Newmiller, daughter of a Raleigh family, who sadly passed away in 2012 from this awful disease.

This will be our 9th annual 3-2-1 Deacon Dash for Down Syndrome and we are all excited to be back together again!  The 3-2-1 Deacon Dash for Down Syndrome is a 5K race fundraising event with an extra .11 mile added for a 3.21 total distance for the awareness and support of individuals with Down syndrome! Most people have 2 copies of 23 different chromosomes, but individuals with Down syndrome are born with 3 copies of the 21st chromosome (the medical term for this is Trisomy 21).

We are delaying this race to correspond with the opening our new Youth Hub in Rosman. The third annual race is getting ready to be run. We run over mixed surfaces, a gravel track initially, through woods and around fields, alongside the French Broad River across the Rosman airport (who knew!) around town and back across fields and through the woods.  It has an elevation climb of a little over 10 feet !! - so a perfect first 5K to either run or walk. Experience one of the oldest road runs in North Carolina. Except for the 2020 year due to the pandemic, theevent has been held annually since 1979. Come be part of a running event with a long tradition and enjoy a runor walk on a USATF certified course primarily along streets lined with azaleas and dogwoods. Participants canenjoy The Hub as well as the further extensions of the Streetscape improvements to Center Street. The PTI 5k/10k Run on the Runway will take place on March 28, 2026, on the airport’s 9,000-foot parallel runway. This certified run benefits The Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, Greensboro Urban Ministry, and Open Door Ministries of High Point. Everyone is invited to run or walk on the runway. The flat and smooth surface is ideal for achieving a personal best time, and the course is wheelchair accessible and baby stroller friendly. This event offers a unique opportunity to get a close-up view of the airport and runways, available only once a year.
