The NCANA Run for Joy is a 5K race that supports mental health advocacy and wellness for health care trainees. Mental health issues and suicide are becoming increasingly common among health care trainees and providers.  Training programs are usually very rigorous, caring for patients is stressful, and those who care for others often feel that they can’t or shouldn’t admit that they need care themselves. Unfortunately, there is often a stigma associated with mental illness, and trainees may feel that admitting that they struggle could damage their careers.     Run for Joy seeks to combat this stigma and support the mental wellness of heath care trainees. Proceeds from the race help finance initiatives that enhance mental wellness and provide support for those needing mental health services. Possum Scurry 2026

This 5k/Fun run will bring students, families, staff and our community together for a fun-filled event that promotes school spirit, healthy activity and community involvement. This event fundraiser will raise money for the Southern Alamance Middle School Athletic Booster Club general fund, to help with school sport needs or improvements such as equipment and uniforms, as well as end of season sports awards. We would also like to give back to the community by holding a food drive to help fight food insecurity, partnering with The Source Of Alamance County. Let's give BIG! This 5k course is a point to point that cuts through the scenic valley and meanders along the Yadkin River before finishing at Happy Valley Filling Station. Considered the "country cousin" to Southern Sundown 4 Miler, this race is more rural, flatter and faster than SS4M but shares the same fun vibe and celebration of the running community. 20th Annual Good Samaritan Cross Training 5K Get Excited as our 20th Annual Ministry Fundraiser offers Greenville their 12th Annual Cross Training 5K Race!! Hope of Glory and CrossFit Greenville are proud to continue the challenging Cross Training 5K to benefit families throughout Pitt County. The 5K is a chance to get out and crawl-walk-jog-run with your neighbors, family and friends. This event helps raise money towards getting free breast exams, wig assistance and other breast cancer related opportunities for Hoke County residents who don't have the resources to do so. Our goal is to raise awareness of breast cancer, generate interest in donations, educate the public on breast cancer and ways to identify it and work through it.
