Greater Goldsboro Road Run - Run for a Child

Experience one of the oldest road runs in North Carolina. Except for the 2020 year due to the pandemic, theevent has been held annually since 1979. Come be part of a running event with a long tradition and enjoy a runor walk on a USATF certified course primarily along streets lined with azaleas and dogwoods. Participants canenjoy The Hub as well as the further extensions of the Streetscape improvements to Center Street. Ourvolunteers will observe safety precautions as necessary to facilitate another excellent event. The Run for a Child – 47th Annual Greater Goldsboro Road Run is facilitated by the Sunrise Kiwanis ofGoldsboro. The event is a fundraiser to help support our purpose of assisting the children and youth of ourcommunity. The funds generated from event sponsorships and participants go toward financial support for over20 local organizations that assist the needy children and youth of Wayne County. Our 10K run, 5K Run/Walk, and 1-mile Fun Run routes are downtown again this year.
