Please join us for our 14th annual 5K run/walk fundraiser. This event helps us to bring important resources to our clients and the community.  ASHA-Ray of Hope exists to support and counsel individuals and families affected by domestic violence in Ohio, especially in the South Asian community. Through advocacy, collaboration and awareness activities, ASHA will help educate the greater community and connect individuals and families with the resources they need to achieve self-reliance.

This flat, fast course starts in the village and runs South out of town through the industrial park and then winds through some of the streets and alleys in the village back to the finish line. We have the Seedling Scamper is a free kids run for ages 10 & under that takes place before the 5K.  It is about 1/2 mile long, and the kids get to cross the finish line, for a photo finish for the parents. Each scamper will receive a patch at the finish line. On Saturday, June 6, Akron Promise will host the fifth annual Kenmore Cowbell 7k, which highlights the Summit Lake Trail as well as Akron’s Music Row, Kenmore Boulevard, where guitar shops and percussion are plentiful.  The Cowbell 7k is unique not only in its distance but in its combination of natural and urban experiences. The race will kick off at 8 a.m. at the historic Rialto Theatre to the sound of guitars and cow bells. It will continue east on Kenmore Boulevard to the south end of Summit Lake, Akron's only glacial lake, where runners will connect to the Towpath via the Summit Lake Trail. A bridge will take them across the water past Summit Metro Parks’ Summit Lake Nature Center and Summit Lake Park. What is the LivSports 24 Hour Adult Hockey Marathon benefiting LivFree? Here’s how it all works - the event is a continuous game with 60 to 90 skaters playing on two teams in 3 rotating groups based on ability, with a running score from opening puck drop to the final horn. Each player raises $1000 dollars for the cause. LivFree is a pediatric cancer non-profit organization that provides children and their families with moments of joy to take a break from struggle and enjoy some family time together. Whether it's tickets to a game, a Broadway show, or a night out, LivFree is here to help the whole family.  When will this take place and how does it work? The run is to honor fallen Clermont County Deputy Sheriff's Detective Bill Brewer, who was killed in the line of duty in February, 2019. Bill was a 1996 graduate of Williamsburg High School, and was also an Athletic Hall of Fame Athlete for Williamsburg. The 5k event will benefit Williamsburg HS Seniors by providing scholarships.  COURSE/DIVISION INFO: Race Divisions: Male and Female Runners - 7-12, 13-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70 and over. The 10th annual Resiliency Run features a 5k run through the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The unfortunate truth is that traumatic and burn injuries are common in our community, but so are strength and recovery. The Resiliency Run was created to honor this strength and to acknowledge the extraordinary people - survivors and their loved ones - who are moving themselves from the worst days to the very best. Ricky Moyer loved many things in life, including farming, weight-lifting (all exercise really) and practicing law.  He was a devoted husband and father with countless friends in each of these industries. Always putting others before himself, he was generous, kind and always quick to offer words of wisdom. Over the years Rick competed in dozens of 5K races, often with his family in town. With his favorite season upon us, we are choosing to honor Rick’s legacy featuring his very favorite event - a Pump & Run and 5K walk/run. As he would often say to family and friends in regard to these friendly physical competitions - “pain is weakness leaving the body.” Our goal remains the same and we look forward to giving out our first scholarship to any Clinton County student interested in furthering their education in Agriculture, Criminal Justice or History.

The Greene County FISH Food Pantry is holding the 1st annual Friends In Service of Humanity (FISH) 5K and 10K family-friendly run/walk, bringing neighbors together to end food insecurity in Greene County.  Proceeds will be used by the food pantry in our fight against hunger.     There is a continuous and ever-growing need for food among our neighbors.  The pantry supports approximately 1200 families per month.  In addition, on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, we also provide services to over 130 of our nation’s veterans.     EARLY BIRD RATE Register by May 20, to be guaranteed a race T-shirt and to access the early bird rate—$30 for adults / $5 for kids 10 & under. Having been on a weeknight prior to the Festival weekend in prior years, this year the 10-mile bike time trial will take place on the Sunday morning of Festival weekend (June 7, 2026).  All participants will receive a medal and will be treated to strawberry-themed post-race refreshments!   Information: 1.  Advance registration is encouraged-online for $15.  Race day registration $20. 2.  Field limit is 120 riders 3.  HELMETS REQUIRED 4.  First rider starts at 8:00am.
